Loved the location. Right on the river and just a short walk into town. So quiet, as it's kind of a dead end at the river. Even with the wind and the fact we're seniors, no problem walking into town center. Every staff member we encountered was warm and genuinely attentive. Bed was very comfortable. Grounds were immaculate, and the room was also very clean. Extremely well lit after dark. Nice swings at the river's edge, even has designated swing for handicapped with concrete right up to the swing for easy transfer. Even though the property is not new, it appears to be very well-maintained with updated amenities in the rooms. Also, the parking pass was good all day until midnight of check-out day, which was handy for shopping and eating on our last day.
This was not really a problem for us, but we did book a handicapped accessible room due to bad knees. Due to being right on the river, the first floor was one flight up from the ground. The ramp is extremely steep (guessing 18-25% angle). We managed it, but a person in a manual chair would have trouble without assistance. Also, the roll/walk-in shower and bathroom floor were very slippery when wet. We put towels down and had no trouble. I just wanted to mention it for anyone who might be renting to keep in mind. This was by no means a deal breaker for us. We were in room 112.

Right in the heart of Alpine Helen, which is a very interesting place. Walking distance to all the main shops and restaurants. Breakfast had a lot of variety, and they provide frozen biscuits if you need something more than a pastry.
Parking was tight already. I would hate to see it when it's more crowded. Also, when it's a more busy time, I expect it could be difficult to get in and out, because you are right in the heart of the town.

Nice location, its right on the river, we went down and sat on the swings one evening. Room was nice .
The outside lights kept us awake the first night. We went and got white cardboard to put over the window. I suggested black out curtains. Also the bathroom is Tiny !

Very close to everything downtown. Bed was very nice, first time I can recall a ceiling fan. Some nice new furniture pieces, microwave and small refrigerator, has coffee maker, full ironing board and iron and hair dryer.
Not very ADA compliant especially degree of ramp to get to rooms, floor lips hard to get over with EAV. One light switch controls every light in the bathroom and the loud fan. No other lighting option in bathroom. Tile in shower very poorly installed, grout missing, dirty crevices.
No room cleaning staying a second day! If you wanted towels or anything else, you are to go to the front desk. This is not stated about room cleaning anywhere and you find out after you check in. Even if this is a choice or staff shortage, perhaps a discount the second day?

the room obviously had a pet previously the blanket on the bed transferred animal fur on top of the sheets along with cat food on the floor that wasn’t swept, the bathroom is very tiny as well

The location was great, with easy walking distance access to the whole town. The river behind the cabin with the outdoor seating was amazing.
The cabin was not clean. At all. There were too few towels and washcloths. The glass door leading to the back deck has no curtain or shade, but the bathtub is in the main room, right beside that glass door which people in the yards and homes across the river can see right in. So the bathtub is useless. The furniture is small and uncomfortable.

just be ready for a really firm bed. it’s was fine for me. wife has back issues, little uncomfortable for her.

The beds are so firm! We could barely sleep. The hallway light is so bright at night.

The place was nice and clean. It was a lovely place on the river. They have a nice area with grills and sitting swings. They also had coffee and some muffins in the morning. The ceiling fan was a nice touch.
The bed was a bit hard for my taste. Not bad hard but I like them softer.
