The price was right.

Convenient to stay the night to go to Dodge Ridge the next morning. Didn’t do anything other than sleep there.

Good pool on a hot day

Nice size first floor room with two outside doors, one directly to the lawn and pool, another to the parking, very convenient, big clean swimming pool, fan was provided

No AC, no tea, coffee supply for one day only. The bunk bead very squeaky, could not sleep, should be replaced or fixed, no microwave, refrigerator very small

Super friendly staff

loved the big room, super spacious, gave old school motel vibes, and the staff were super friendly. there is a large pool and loungers, as well as well kept gardens to play on with not much around restaurants and cafes wise the facilities were limited to a small fridge and drip coffee machine

we had intended for our stay to be a local base to visit Yosemite but unfortunately it’s still three hours from the National Park. it is super secluded so if you are looking for a secluded getaway this is it, otherwise it’s a long journey to get to the national park.

Great people, charming grounds and interior, too bad the bathroom and matress were dinky.

I loved the casual grounds with a pool and skating rink, looked both charming and lovely. The staff was friendly and attentive. We stayed at the end of winter and the snow was pretty, I bet the pool in the summer would be great. Also, if you have an electric car, charge up well before heading up... it's about a 1 1/2 to the closest supercharger.

The bed was hard and the heater made loud noises at night so the sleep wasn't great. The bathroom was barebones and dated. The builder's grade aluminum framed standing shower stall that was painted to make it look fresh, but it was a small and cramped wash.

Staff is excellent and amazing. They were very friendly. This please is wonderful to see the forest.

Room have fridge but they didn't have a microwave. I called the office before my trip to find out if they have microwaves in the rooms, and they told me that they don't have it, but I can use one in the office. I brought frozen food because they don't have walking distance restaurants, and the office was always closed when I needed to use the microwave. We needed to drive 30 minutes to buy expensive in a small town nearby.

Nice hotel in the middle of beautiful nature

Friendly staff. Lady on reception was waiting for us until early morning. Beautiful cottage style hotel in the middle of mountains.

Lovely cottages at the Long Barn Lodge

We had a wonderful one-night stay at the Long Barn Lodge. It is a charming resort that includes a building with motel style rooms (exterior hallways) on two stories plus several cottages and a full-sized pool. We stayed at the Superior Chalet cottage that featured two queen beds, a sofa bed, a full kitchen with a full sized refrigerator, a four burner stove and oven, two TVs, air conditioning unit, and a gas fireplace. Outside was a cozy porch with seating and a deluxe propane barbecue grill. The Superior Chalet is ideal for a family of 4. It is set back from the road and very quiet. The smaller cottages are across the way, in a row, which is fine if you have quiet neighbors. The next door Bungalow is basically a 2-story house suitable for a large family. What was unique about the motel rooms was that the first floor rooms had two doors, one in front, facing the pool, and the other out back, opening directly into the parking lot which would be incredibly convenient for families with young children who are basically moving their household in. In a very unique feature, some of the motel rooms are connected to upstairs units by interior stairs, with a queen bed below for the parents and bunk beds upstairs for the kids. We chatted with the new management, an inspiring young couple who took over last year and are making many improvements to the property. Some of the fixtures and appliances are dated, but the new management is definitely sprucing things up! They explained some of the history and said that they will be celebrating the property’s centennial in 2025! The Lodge is open year round and the area’s only skating rink will open at the end of November. Highly recommend staying here with a family, especially you kids, hosting a family reunion here, or just enjoying the area with friends. My suggestion is to market the property as the Long Barn Lodge and Cottages. The cottages make the stay extra special!
