Not quite what I expected as far as the facilities and amenities, location is prime, and the room is

I have stayed at this location before. It is directly across from the beach and within walking distance to many of the local eateries and shops. There are much to do in this area I highly recommend visiting.

I had expectations having stayed at this resort on numerous occasions in the past. First, I have never seen in a hotel this one included that did not have a fitted sheet on the bed. When I inquired of the innkeeper regarding that situation, he told me that they do not have fitted sheets. None of the rooms would’ve had a fitted sheets on the bed. Something that you should know before you book here. I was not pleased with that at all. One other issue was that the water in the shower was lukewarm at best. Visiting in November I would like to have been able to get a nice hot shower before departing my stay there.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Spend the few extra dollars to stay somewhere else.

I did not like anything about this place. The only good thing is the beach. This place needs to be shut down and have a major renovation and CLEAN.

There is not one good thing about this place. I booked and paid online. Check in was awful, had to stand outside in the heat to wait to go inside to a tiny little office that was trashed and unorganized. Staff was not welcoming. I felt if I asked any questions I would be turned away. The stairs were grimy and had dog poop at the top step. Paid $350 for a king “suit” with a “ocean view” walked in to an immediate smell of mold, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed or cleaned in a LONG time, the pull out sofa had stains and sand everywhere. The room with the king bed had a busted door that had stains and missing paint, the outlets looked as if they caught on fire. The king bed was so old we didn’t even use it, the room was definitely not cleaned before our arrival. We left all of our stuff in the car, luckily we had an extra sheet and pillow case that we used and just left there to be thrown away. No blankets or sheets were provided. The wallpaper was peeling off everywhere, there was about 6 holes throughout the place. The bathroom had black mold growing in the corner of the ceiling. We wanted to stay an extra night in Cape May and the picture online made this place look updated and clean, it absolutely was not. We didn’t even sleep we stayed up and put our own sheets on the pull out couch and left early in the morning. For what I paid I could have spent an extra $60 and stay next door at one of the updated clean hotels that also provides breakfast and beach passes. Do not make the same mistake. This place has not been cleaned or updated since it opened and have no doubt there is mold and bugs everywhere.

Good location, decent room.

he room was suitable as it was a 2 room suite. The bathroom had a walk in shower which was great and kitchenette seemed newer .Air conditioning was great.

The entire outside needs a complete upgrade. Stayed here a few years ago and this time seemed a bit rundown. Never saw anyone clean the pool out. You have to take care of your own garbage and towels. This is not bad but when you check in they should inform you and give you the recommended number of plastic bags instead of having to ask each day.

I really enjoyed my stay and I would go back there again

The property is in a beautiful location. It’s very comfortable and cozy. Even the bed was cozy and the sheets. The staff is very friendly.

I would visit Cape May again but I would not stay at Colton Motor unless updates were made.

It was right across from the beach and you could walk right downtown for shopping and food.

The room was pretty gross. It smelled like mold and mildew we had to buy air freshener. I don’t know if it’s the carpets or something hidden but it made us really sick. There is also zero room service provided for bedding or fresh towels.

Check in was easy, very friendly and just what we needed for basic comfort at a reasonable price.

We only needed a basic room and the Colton Court Motor Inn provided just what we wanted. Beds were firm and clean. Bath tub was large, Had a refrigerator , microwave , TV and coffee pot. Also had a blow dryer with night light attached which we liked a lot. Clean soft towels. Adequate dressers. Table and chairs to sit and eat. Across the street from the beach, Not far from the shopping mall or other area attractions. Very nice.

Property should have been more forthcoming about their smoking policy..can understand no smoking in rooms...but no smoking on property at all..is something you need to let people know before taking their money...was inconvenient to us ..thought we could atleast smoke on the porch outside our room...felt uncomfortable..like we being put down because we smoke cigarettes

Great location, great price.

The location is amazing, I flew in later than expected and the lady (I didn't catch her name) who runs the office was More than accommodating and understanding with me showing up later than expected from out of state. :)

If I had to pick Something I "didnt" like, it would be that they are doing renovations in the rooms which isnt Something to complain about.

Friends Weekend

It was nice and quiet. The room was clean. The manager was a riot, she was friendly and funny..

The coffee maker had no coffee....oh well no big deal thank god for Wawa lol, i could have ask but like i said no big deal.

Quaint!

We got a call while we were on our way asking us for what time we were going to check in, and from that moment on our experience with the owner was awesome! She's super sweet and very funny. We ended up being upgraded to a suite and I was very happy for the value. The room was spotless and smelled clean from first opening the door. We were provided with the basics for the kitchenette -- paper towels, Dawn, pots, pans, and several choices in glassware and dishware. I've never stayed this close to the ocean before, and there's the sound of waves breaking at all times. I'm looking forward to returning for an on-season stay.

Unfortunately, we couldn't get some of the electrical outlets to work, but that's to be expected with there being active renovations on the property during our stay.

The location is ideal, the room is ok.

the room was clean, older and could use updating in the bathroom area. the sink leaked and I had to leave a washcloth in the sink so that I did not hear the drip all night. A strong odor of bleach. The area is beautiful with easy close access to the beach. The owner was very friendly. I would stay again.

I stated all above. At full season price I would not have been happy with the sink in the bathroom. there was no shampoo or conditioner. I also would expect coffee. It's not a fancy place and served my purpose,

Charming little motel!

Staff was friendly and accommodated our late arrival into town. Location was exceptional. Even though it was an older motel, it was super clean!

Nothing... Coffee pots added to rooms may be a perfect touch.

Pull out couch was not comfortable at all, felt like the rugs weren't very clean either.

Location, pool, bed was comfy, staff was awesome, huge tub, extra large room, microwave and refrigerator

no freezer in refrigerator, you have to pay to go the beach, $16. A day per couple, or $30. For 3 days. I was very unhappy about that. Then when I got to the beach no one asked for the pass
