Beautiful rooms and helpful staff!

The rooms were designed beautifully and conveniently. The staff was friendly and helpful.

There was a slight convexity to my mattress, which caused me to keep rolling toward my husband. We usually like to keep our distance while sleeping, so this put a damper in our usual sleeping arrangement.

Just a perfect place to stay

The room was beautiful and clean. Well decorated and functional. Didn't have the chance to get to the rooftop though. Great position right in the loop and near to every location of interest. I just walked the whole time. More info for travelers: I paid with a debit card, they charged me 100 dollars more for every night as deposit. They reimburse me one day later the checkout. They give you 25 dollars credit for breakfast (which is not buffet) if it is included in your reservation. The breakfast was delicious and the staff very attentive.

Great experience

Excellent location for our weekend getaway. We depended on local transit during this stay and hotel was near several transit lines. Friendly staff. Clean hotel. Most comfortable bed we've had in many trips.

Some traffic noise but hotel can't help that and we did stay in the city, so to be expected.

Windy City Win

Loved the style of the hotel, very posh and hip feeling. Food at Ms. Rickys is delightful. The coffee shop was excellent. Beds were very comfy, and the room offers lots of extra perks like snack and drink items for purchase.

Not very impressed with Cerise. Drinks are waaay overpriced and not great tasting. I'm saying this, and I am from L.A. so YES way overpriced. 4 drinks=$100. It's (Cerise) small.

I would beber stay at this hotel again or recommend it to any of my friends or followers.

The location

It took hours to get checked in. Many people came after us and was moved ahead. We finally got the room assigned well after 4:30pm - we arrived at the hotel before 1pm. The rug in the room was filthy and the staff were not able to resolve that problem. There was no apology fir any of these shortcomings. It was as though smiling and offering free coffee was the solution. The small double beds in the room were very uncomfortable. The hotel was very noisy. The staff tried to help but clearly they were not capable of solving any of the problems.

Cool vibes, spacious room, and a great location

The suite was spacious and had a cool vibe to the decor. The shower was huge with a spray and a rain shower. There were double sinks with vanity to sit and put on makeup plus a makeup mirror. The rooms have barn doors to separate them.

Nice hotel to stay in in Chicago!

VIRGIN HOTELS CHICACO RM 801 - When we first arrived, I was impressed with the aesthetic of the room. It looks very clean and even has a nice subtle smell (like a custom scent for the hotel I thought). I thought the room was very cute and feels cozy. I really like the layout with separate shower and toilet and two vanity sinks. I love the door separating the bedroom. The beds were fine but not very comfortable. I think it is the mattress itself. The view from the room is the back alley of the hotel so view is not good. Anyway, it's okay, I just don't look down. I look up to the buildings instead. Overall, I really liked this room regardless of the view. I almost forgot to mention, the staff were all pretty friendly too.

So...I really liked the first room we got so we decided to stay another night and booked a bigger room. It was same two double beds, but slightly larger square footage. It is on the 17th floor, Rm. 1708. The view is definitely better, but that's about it as regards to what I liked about this room. As soon as I entered the room, it actually smelled a little bit like pee. I can tell the room was cleared out in a rush (they did say they were very busy that day, Aug 1st). We actually had to rearrange some of the furnitures to make the room less dissheveled looking if you will. The room does not have that same ambiance as the first room we got. Honestly, I felt kind of disappointed and wished we had stayed in the first room we were in. With that said, I will stay in this hotel again next time we visit Chicago. The staff are friendly, the hotel is nice and the location is great.

Adequate but I would not recommend your hotel

I liked the room size, comfortable beds, good service to bring things to our room.

Room lacked basic amenities for the type of hotel category, the towels were hard and some torn, no where to hang anything, in the shower no where to put your toiletries, no night turn down, no milk for coffee or tea, limited tea selection, no personal kits, no bottled water.
