Basic but good quality items, fresh fruit, yogurt toaster items muffins and plenty of hot coffee for extended hours so no need to fuss with coffee maker in room. Rooms were spotless. Staff aways greeting you with a smile and cheery hello. Seemed like all units had water view what a bonus.

Unable to open windows in our unit. but looks like a repair was needed. Did not affect our stay. WiFi was a bit sketchy. Did not come for wifi.

The rooms have the most amazing views. We arrived after dark so seeing how close we were to the ocean in the morning was a real treat! The breakfast was good and served in a very comfortable room. It is set up as buffet style and had lots of options. Good coffee too! Adequate seating and super friendly staff replenishing everything. The grounds are stunning and gardens add a lot, even in the fall when they are past their prime. There is a path that leads from the hotel directly to The Marginal Way. Views are incredible. It looked like we could walk to shops and restaurants too, though we didn't have time to explore. Next time we'll plan for a longer stay.

The floors are a little rickety, but it's an older building. We were on a second level which has gorgeous views, but we had to carry our luggage up all the steps. If this is a concern for someone who is planning to visit, ask for a first floor room.

Room 64. Suite. King mattress was the WORST bed I’ve ever slept in in 58 years. Who puts a bureau right at the end of the bed where you can barely get by?? Practically a broken toe waiting to happen. We asked to move but was told nothing else available.
