Very friendly and accommodating staff. They were able to put us in an upstairs room since we had read other reviews about noise issues with downstairs rooms. We liked the general feel and vibe of the place, as well as location near downtown. Located in Armory Park, a nice, walkable neighborhood. Hotel WiFi worked well, although it seemed you needed to reauthenticate every few hours.
1) Noise - there was a very loud movie that played one night following a large group gathering in the courtyard. Almost intolerable noise level for a couple hours. Could hear amorous couple in room next door another night. 2) Lack of desk / table / surfaces to place items on. 3) Lack of adequate lighting in the room - some light bulbs were very low wattage. 4) No coffee in the lobby before 7:30am, although you can request a French press for the room.

Great location and cute place.
Light by bed did not work. Out of coffee creamer. Comforter super thin.

This was my first time staying here, and I wasn't sure what to expect. Reviews I read indicated the hotel was different from run of the mill accommodation, and that was accurate. It has the ambiance of a conventional motel which has been remodeled with an artsy, bohemian flavor. My large room was clean and had the basic facilities. The lobby/bar area and outside tables would be a good area for evening relaxation. The location is good, being about a 15-20 minute walk to Congress St and other central Tucson areas. The neighborhood has interesting older buildings and is worth exploring, and the hotel is pet friendly - well dog friendly anyway. I can't speak for other species. But the place has its own unique charm, so one never knows.
The uncarpeted (stone?) floor in the room was cold and hard to the touch, which took a little getting used to. A sign more visible from the road would have made it easier to find reception.

Location to the conference center was great
The mattress on the bed needs to be replaced. Very uncomfortable.

Convenient to downtown
Unappealing room with shabby Goodwill type furniture (vinyl covered recliner with torn foam rubber coming out). Loud wall heater mounted over door took hours to warm the room. It had a bright blue light that shone directly in our faces while we were trying to sleep. CRAZY LOUD music jolted us out of our bed at 2 AM on our second night. It lasted about an hour. No one answered the hotel phone number. Unsatisfactory is the nicest thing I could say.

I loved that it was unique and kind of quirky in its own way. I also loved that it wasn’t a chain, but an actual business that someone owned and loved and it showed. Each room was decorated a little different and the morning coffee was good!
I also loved that the front desk staff walked us to our room when we checked in and made sure we had what we needed

This is a cute design hotel with great attention to detail, which is rare for Tucson. Check-in employee Matt went out of his way to help with finding shuttles and getting the room ready.
Way overpriced unfortunately so the amenities just don't match up at 250$ per night. It should be half and then the rating would be much better. This was because of the Tucson gemshow and every hotel does it but that is why people do not want to come to Tucson anymore. You feel overcharged all the time for what it is.
The experience at the restaurant/bar was not pleasant. There should have been more employees scheduled to handle the crowds instead of getting rude, careless service, wrong food delivered, people standing in line to order, and being forced to pay upfront as hotel guests. Attitude issues with the staff but maybe this just happens during the gem show.

Location was convenient to concert venues and some decent restaurants. Room was ample and well appointed.
A hot tub would raise my rating. The concrete floors in the ground floor room are cold, but cleaner-feeling than most carpeted rooms. Air-conditioning unit seemed to struggle to reach input temp.

The entire place has a unique vibe, a mix of modern and mid-20th century hip. What a great change from staying at vanilla hotels. The rooms are very clean, and the beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. Staff was pleasant and always looking to help.
I wasn't aware they had live music on weekends. The DJ was good and the crowd wasn't crazy. It was extremely loud even in the rooms; however, they didn't play late, being respectful to their guests. I might not have stayed there had I known this in advance; however, I'm happy for not knowing or I would have missed out on this place. It's a must-stay place for singles and couples.
Nit-picky, but they could really do with a slightly wider blind on the door's side window. They're good enough, but people on the ground floor may not find the privacy sufficient enough.

I like the many amenities in the room (tissues, microwave and refrigerator). The room and bed were very comfortable.
There was no coffee pot to make coffee. ☹️

There wasn't really anything I didn't like about this accommodation.

Loved the aesthetics and the lounge. The bed was very comfortable! The desert gardens are beautiful. The staff is helpful and kind. Location is the best for Tucson.

Such a great spot for both out of town visitors + local Tucsonans. The Redlight Lounge is an intimate spot for a meal or drink. Staff is genuinely friendly.

Super cute boutique and retro styling. Really excellent staff and awesome vibe. Awesome value. Within walking distance to downtown Tucson.

Decorated nicely. Water station was a nice touch. People were friendly
Cheap build materials in shower. Concrete floors with no rugs made the room feel very cold/industrial. Door hinges don't close automatically. Widow shades and privacy were definitely lacking. Proper drapes or blinds would greatly improve the room.

The staff was kind and the room although not what I was expecting it was very nice and clean although I did see a few rolley polleys and flying bugs. I personally don't have a problem with harmless bugs.
The bed was extremely stiff.I woke up with the worst shoulder pain and it lasted all day. The windows next to the door were a very poor choice in my opinion if you are staying in a room that's on the bottom floor bring something to cover the top window because you are provided with nothing to cover that window which is very inconvenient since people staying on the top floor can see you sleeping.

it has a classy but not snobbish retro feel. So many little touches that make this place feel warm and welcoming. The staff are genuine and friendly and that is a hard combination to find sometimes. This place goes out of the way to be unique yet maintain the 1948 roadside motel feel. The room rates and restaurant/bar are reasonably priced. The neighborhood is awesome.

Location was great! We walked to downtown for dinner. This place is very welcoming and retro. Just the basics, but the basics were great! Everything was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. We'll definitely be staying here again.
We definitely recommend requesting a room on the top floor. It was VERY noisy at 6am and the room above us had someone that was pacing back and forth for 3 hours and moving furniture around. It would have been nice to have a lamp in the room next to the bed, but you can't beat the value of this place.

Did not have breakfast.
Prepaid for a three night stay. Had to leave and only stayed one night. They have not refunded the money for the two nights we did not stay. Say the manager will look into this but we have heard nothing. This is not right!

Just a nice, comfortable spot in a good location in town. Having streaming channels on the TV was nice, I finally got caught up on a certain strange show on Netflix.
The rooms could use a desk and a chair. Also, the neighbors and their dogs got a little noisy at night.

Very cute design and fun environment. Liked the 50s/southwest decor. Good drinks in the restaurant/bar. Maybe the best French fry’s ever. Excellent front desk & bar service.
Bed was very soft & bouncy. Concrete floors were uncomfortable with sand having been tracked in. (Cleaned before our arrival?)
18$(!) burger was over cooked & dry. Saved a bit by terrific fry’s. Overhead room noise of walking, etc. disturbing.
