Perfect location

Excellent breakfast with a broad selection of meats and grains. The desk staff was very helpful for dinner and taxi reservations. The hotel is very located for a quick stay in the heart of Barcelona.

The stay was among the most enjoyable I've had in my travels. I will definitely return!

The staff was professional and polite. The location was superb, being right on La Rambla. The room was immaculate and quiet, with a stunning view overlooking La Rambla. Breakfast was a delicious assortment of fresh fruit, meats, eggs, juices, and coffee. I really couldn't have asked for a more exquisite experience.

Totally recommend and will definitely visit again!

Υπεροχη τοποθεσια στην καρδια της πολης! Ειναι διπλα σε ολα τα κεντρικα αξιοθεατα και πολυ κοντα σε σταση μετρο και λεωφορειου. Πολυ ευγενικο και προθυμο προσωπικο, πεντακαθαρα δωματια και παρολο που ειναι σε πολυ κεντρικο σημειο τα δωματια εχουν πολυ καλη ηχομονωση. Τα κρεβατια πολυ ανετα οπως και τα δωματια γενικοτερα. Το κτηριο απο μόνο του ειναι πανεμορφο, παρτε σιγουρα λιγο χρονο να το εξερευνησετε! Το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα, κανανε τις μερες μας στην Βαρκελωνη ακομα καλυτερες.

地理位置非常棒，位于繁华商业区，离加泰罗尼亚广场、波盖力市场、哥伦布纪念塔、米兰之家，古埃尔公园都很近。

设备设施有点旧，性价比不高。洗澡水忽冷忽热，真是让人难以忍受。

Emplacement et Personnel exceptionnels.

L’emplacement et surtout le personnel qui a été exceptionnel de gentillesse. J’ai eu malheureusement un problème de santé et tous sont venus prendre adorablement de mes nouvelles et nous ont offert une magnifique corbeille de fruits et du champagne ! Toute ma gratitude pour leurs attentions et leurs attentions !

Great location, nice staff

Location is perfect. Everything is near, best restaurants, nightlife in walking distance, metro stations, direct line with bus from the airport. Also the staff were very nice and friendly. We could leave our bags after checkout. Delicious breakfast.

Do not go there because of the spa. We understood that the pool is closed due to state of emergency, but it would be nice to get a heads up about it. Sauna was ok, but only one worked. Showers in the spa area, not great. Rooms very small

Au top.

L’emplacement est idéal. On est proche de tout sans avoir le bruit de La Rambla. Le hall d’accueil est immense et ils servent un « tea time » gratuit de 16h à 18h, fort agréable après une grosse matinée en vadrouille. La terrasse est géniale, une vue magnifique sur toute la ville et pas mal de canapés pour siroter un cocktail. La chambre supérieure est grande avec une baignoire. Le lit est confortable et immense. L’espace SPA est agréable également bien que rapidement plein (un hamman, un sauna et 6 transats autour de la piscine). Le champagne offert, c’était top !!

Dommage que les piscines aient été fermées suite à des restrictions gouvernementales par rapport à l’eau. Mais c’est tout à fait compréhensible. Les joints de la baignoire pourraient être refait.

The drainage smell but that’s a problem through La rambla. It’s easily ignored because the hotel smells good.

Great location, but had some issues with the room.

Central location with a lovely lobby. Free bottle of cava on the last day of the stay

Room was nice but had a loud water pipe by the bed. The hotel staff moved us to another room quickly, but the new room was smaller and not as nice.

Hotel 1898. Could be much better.

The location, nice clean rooms and linen, good breakfast fare.

1) Room 320. Took the hotel maintenance staff more than 24 hours to provide running hot water in the bathroom taps and shower. Even after the problem was supposed to have been rectified, one had to leave the taps open for more than 15 minutes to get some luke warm water. Imagine the amount of water being wasted!! Unpardonable. 2) The front office staff seem to be disconnected from the guests. Bit serious and not very welcoming. 3) The reception desk is not prompt in answering the house phone either. The curt answer given is that they are busy. 3) Unless one knows Spanish, it is impossible to communicate with house keeping staff. I would assume one would need to know a smattering of English in the hospitality industry.

An exceptional hotel by every standard.

It is a gorgeous hotel with phenomenal staff. The room was very comfortable. The rooftop patio restaurant is fantastic. The food was great. The views are beautiful. The service is excellent. The seating is very comfortable. They sent me up an unexpected, complimentary bottle of Cava, champagne, the first day. The fitness center and complimentary spa were outstanding.

Overall good, and I'd stay there again.

Location was great. Hotel very clean and well kept. Bed comfy. Bathroom well stocked and good towels. Wonderful lighting in room.

Hearing (and feeling) the subway. Only buffet breakfast (I prefer table service). Room not available at check in (330p) but they did give us a couple of drink vouchers while we waited - that was thoughtful and made up for it. We booked stay due to our flight back to USA being canceled. We were a little cranky. LOL

The quality and elegance of the facilities exceeded expectations. The staff was very friendly and informative. A special thank you to Martin. The pool and spa area was very nice. The rooftop was very nice and had live music. The breakfast was very nice. The location along La Rambla is great.

We didn't take a breakfest, but bar in the evening was very good.

Our room is neer to kitchen. So in the early morning you will hear a loud sounds of suppliers and garbage cleaners. It was no so quiet room.

Wonderful rooms and staff, great location.

The room was very comfortable and the staff were very nice and accommodating. Housekeeping was excellent. Cleaned very well every day. It was my birthday, so they gave us a bottle of champagne. It was a wonderful surprise. We were thrilled. The location was also great. Very close to transportation and the main squares.

The pool was cold, the steam room was not functioning during our stay, and the sauna was only warm. Definitely not sauna temperatures. The drinks at the bar were expensive, which is typical for hotels of that rating.

Exceeded any expectation

Staying at Hotel 1898 was absolutely amazing. The hotel interiors are incredibly beautiful, the room super comfortable with all the amenities you need, the roof terrace has a great view and pool (which we didn’t use because of the cold) but we did use the spa which was amazing too. Although it’s located right after the Rambla, we didn’t hear any noise. It was my partners birthday and the Hotel staff made our stay so so very special. Thank you to everyone at Hotel 1898.
