Uns ist rätselhaft, wie das Haus zu einer Bewertung von über 8 Punkten kommt.

Schönes altes Gebäude geschmackvoll mit Kunstobjekten dekoriert.

Der Empfang durch die Dame des Hauses war ausgesprochen kühl und nicht freundlich. Das Zimmer bot keinen Blick nach draußen. Die beiden Fenster hatten Milchglasscheiben. Das Frühstück hält einem Vergleich mit 4-Sterne-Häusern, die wir in Australien kennen gelernt haben, keineswegs stand. Es wird von 8 - 9 Uhr serviert. Die Teller sind sehr klein, dass es schon schwierig ist, eine Scheibe Toast mit Butter zu bestreichen.

Nice place but not value for money

The property itself was nice, good conservatory, comfy bed, and well located.

The room was very small and the breakfast could have been better. A boiled egg doesn’t seem much for the price.

Elegant property conveniently located in the heart of Launceston.

The building looks like the setting of an old English movie.

The breakfast was terrible.

Wonderful boutique hotel as a reno of a 1890's mansion. very central. Good parking & b'fast.

great renovation of this 1890's mansion. Owners live off site, check in no problem however rooms on the ground floor have a 3 tier staircase to tackle to and from the carpark. Hearty breakfast

Great property

Great hotel packed with personality and history. Very comfortable and well presented with thoughtful touches such as restaurant recommendations based on what was open on the day of the week. Prearrival communication was also very good, with clear instructions for self check in.

Tiny observations, but would have liked the capacity to play music in conservatory, maybe an honour bar with small selection for a night cap and a way to warn others the (shared) iron is hot once you put it back. None of these detracted from overall enjoyment though. I’ll be back!

Grand old house with warm comfy room but no where to sit apart from the bed.

A beautiful old house in the CBD. The breakfast staff were amazingly helpful.

It felt a bit like staying at your Grandparents home were you weren’t allowed to touch anything.

The Florance exceeded our expectations. The location was very central, parking was included, the rooms were spotless and comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious. The staff including the owner of the property were welcoming and friendly. The decor of the place - mixed modern and vintage - was very tasteful and beautiful.

Genteel and elegant start for our Tassie trip :)

Loved the Conservatory - such a beautiful space to have breakfast and just to sit, chill, read, do my colouring in etc. Free flow Nespresso coffee and tea available all day even though we did not make use of that except during breakfast. Breakfast - muesli, fruit, boiled eggs, toast, avocado - was a great plus :) Owner / manager came around to chat and took on board suggestion to make available soy sauce in the future for soft boiled eggs (for Malaysians and Singaporeans!). It was interesting to find out the history of the building. Rooms and entire property were beautifully furnished.

Rooms on the smaller side / no small work table and chair available.

Perfect location to explore Launceston

Beautifully restored home, with lovely appointments in the room, beautifully comfortable bed with heated blanket, and wonderful federation windows with a perfect view of city park. Lovely conservatory where continental breakfast was served each day. Perfect location to walk to the key attractions and very close to a large number of restaurants.

We stayed 4 nights and it would have been good to have access to a microwave in the shared area. I probably would have preferred an option of not having breakfast added into the room rate, and explored the many cafes in the area

small bedroom with a handbasin in the corner of the room. breakfast options were limited. whole grain supermarket bread. bed not made daily.

Quant little accomodation. Not quite 4 star accommodation if you compare it to hotels.

Nice clean rooms. Great location.

rooms are very small so wouldn’t stay more than 2 nights. breakfast was simple with boiled eggs being the only option. No flexibility on that when asked.

Loved it, would definitely stay again if travelling to Launceston

The Florence is conveniently situated in the city and loved the City Park across the road. Gorgeous period building which has been renovated really well. The rooms are well appointed and very comfy. Loved the conservatory! The Florance is elegant and understated.

beautiful building, nicely done out, great location.

too expensive for what you are getting. Breakfast abysmal. in a cheaper establishment you roll with it, but for this price expected something much better. staff seemed indifferent unfortunately. understand under covid that a buffet is not recommended, but we were given a paper bag with packets of muesli and toby muesli bars! yogurt available and apparently eggs ( power cut when we were there, not their fault so not judging them on that). individual plastic packets of butter - not impressed with such wastage- covid doesn’t stop you cutting slices and popping them on small plates as other establishments do. little effort was the impression- capfuls still do things such as croissants under covid! felt cheap and nasty. we were directed to our breakfast bag and left to our own devices, no table available for us to sit at, had to knock at the kitchen to ask if one could be cleared, and felt we were bothering the kitchen staff in doing so. we were later offered eggs when the power came back on, by a different lady, which was appreciated, but the initial attitude from the kitchen of us being an imposition did it’s job. We went out for breakfast.
