Calm, pool had an amazing view

Its convenient location and well stock utilities made it a suitable and acceptable retreat.

Upon entering the rental,I was pleased to find a fully equipped kitchen, offering all the utilities needed for preparing meals. While some of the appliances may have shown their age they remained functional, allowing me too enjoy home-cooked meals during my stay. The availability of washer and dryer also proved to be valuable addition, making easy to keep my travel wardrobe fresh and clean. Within a short walk, I had access to a variety of shops, restaurants. Beyond the market, the vacation rental was conveniently located near public transportation. Convenient On Site Parking . Nice pool area with an amazing view. Accommodating stuff.

The rental was pretty dusty and the bedding seemed they never been changed or washed, they smelled really bad. The bathroom with presence of mildew in some areas, musty , due lack of proper ventilation. The AC filters were extremely dirty and the amount of noise coming from upstairs made impossible to sleep.

Loved the location, didn't love this unit.

The location was fantastic. Pool was nice and never crowded. Owner seemed kind and offered lots of good advice for getting around and sight seeing. Partial view of water and mountains were nice.

Extremely dated decor and furniture. Think 1970's. The couch was unbearable too just sit on, I can't imagine trying to sleep on that thing. Unit did not feel clean. Several outlets didn't work. Two of the three TVs didn't work. Sliding screen door was off the rails when we arrived and the screen itself was detached from the frame. Mirror on one of the rooms was cracked. It truly feels like nothing has been updated since it was built. The noise from the room above us was enough to keep us up on several nights. Floors must be thin and not well insulated. Kids beds were uncomfortable. Some of the lights didn't work.

GOOD APARTMENT BUT LACKS a few measures to help guests who are new to the complex.

Since we arrived at the Banyan Harbor complex quite late (approximately 10:30pm), we were at a lost on who to call to get the keys for the Condo. I had to look for Units were the lights were still on to get info on where to get the keys. I called David (the one who sent me emails with info about the Condo. No instructions were provided to us regarding what to do when we arrived late. I had to call a few numbers to get to the person who had the keys. MY HONEST SUGGESTIONS TO AVOID THIS UNWANTED EXPERIENCE BY GUESTS: 1) There should be a contact #s to call if arriving after the close of business hours, 2) Provide the building location of the Reception Desk where the keys are kept. These IMPORTANT pieces of information were not available for my group at the time of arrival at the Banyan Harbor.

Television in the living is not working. Cannot turn on the TV. The volume is not working either. SUGGESTION: if the TV cannot be replaced with a new one, please put the contact #s to call for this type of trouble. VERY IMPORTANT: There MUST be 2 "grab-bars" in the shower in the event the guests slip by accident. Right now, there is no grab bars and very dangerous. This should be #1 safety measure to avoid accident or for that matter litigation. The faucet in the bathroom and kitchen at times are dripping waters. The main screen door should have a device on top of the door to hold door open instead of the door bangs after each person leaves the apartment.

Reasonably price and the locations is great. 2 bedroom condo so definitely recommended for a family. Owner is very helpful and responsive. Better than a 5 star hotel I might say.

One thing though, not sure if I just dont know how to use it but the spin dry of the washer wasn’t working. It was the last night of my stay when I did my laundry so there was no time to check with the owner. I was able to remedy it since the dryer was working.

Gr8 host and fantastic Island to visit.

Host was awesome. Assisting us to purchase and be reimbursed for little things that made our stay easy and comfortable. Eg, allowed us to buy electric kettle although hotplate kettle available. We also purchased other pieces to make our stay easier: teaspoons, tongs. Pre visit information provided by host was awesome and of great assistance. Host is a very accommodating and flexible person.

Wonderful place - especially for families! Friendly/super helpful staff available to answer all questions.

Location was awesome and very easy walk to the Pool, food, and beach! I enjoyed having a condo-style place with a full kitchen to supplement eating out (especially for kids meals). Lots of space, A/C units when it got hot and a patio for the balmy nights and mornings to enjoy coffee.

Parking can get a bit tight, wish there was a hot tub at the complex, and some of the amenities are a bit dated (but fully functional and clean!).

Great location & awesome pool views over harbor below

Awesome, awesome view...from swimming pool. Property Waived Resort Fee for Military, as is courtesy practice across many Kauai hotel accommodations. Property sustainability practices (malama 'aina/aloha 'aina)....all roofs covered with solar panels, thus decreasing carbon footprint of property. September in Kauai means annual Mokihana Festival. Nearby, Hawaiian charter school hosted festival evening event featuring extraordinarily talented slack key guitarist Kawika Jamieson with an audience member joining the jam - ululele icon Lady Ipo (Ipo Kahaunaele-Ferreira) for an inspiring music jam...only 10 min drive from Banyan Harbor

I needed to adjust my view expectations from unit balcony/master bedroom. Adjust your view expectations. Partial view of industrial working harbor below...did NOT take away from unit's comfort, cleanliness, and wonderfully quiet property.

great central location but really needs a facelift

Close to the airport, and midway in the island to get to Wiamea and Hanalei.

the unit has not been updated in a very long time and shows. the carpet desperately needs to be replaced and smells awful

Furniture shows wear and tear - the couch was terrible ! So broken down there was NO COMFORT in sitting on it. Some lamps had burned out bulbs or were inoperable. Lamp shades were dirty and worn.

Great place to stay and will be even better once it is spruced up!

The proximity to the ocean. We were able to walk across the street and be at the ocean. It was near to many of the attractions that we booked for our family vacation.

The room was in need of a spruce-up/upgrade. The owner was having someone come in after we left to give him ideas of how to spruce up the condo. I think this will help tremendously. The owner was on top of any questions we had and gave us ideas of things to do.

Absolutely amazing would definitely stay again

The whole experience was great Denis was amazing and a great help the staff at front desk was great they treated us like family not guests. Kiki the concierge was so very pleasant and went above and beyond to make sure our annivesary was amazing she even gave us her personal cell number if we needed help or got lost she was the best like an Aunt

We were very disappointed by our stay and would not recommend at all to anyone to go there.

There was mold not only on the windows of the bathroom, but also on the shower curtains. The facilities were very old and there were a lot of cockroaches. One of the bedrooms did not have any light or electricity. The beds were very uncomfortable. We had to change each night beds with my family so that our back would not hurt that much. The descriptions doesn’t match at all the facilities. It was way too expensive for what this facility has to offer. It is old, filthy and disappointing.

Other than needing some updates/cleaning we had a wonderful time.

We had several roaches show up each morning. Needs fumigation in that complex. And, the unit could use some updating. Otherwise, it was a wonderful time.

Adequate facility but will not return or recommend

location was excellent

it was very old & in somewhat of disrepair. Also, some of the items in the kitchen were left dirty. Lastly, there were cockroaches in the unit, both in the kitchen cupboards and bathrooms.
