Great stay .. I will come back again

It was very clean and the staff were friendly.

No elevators and we were on the second floor.

Not bad

Property and rooms are dog friendly, decent location.. only 10-15 minutes from downtown Halifax. Decent selection of food/restaurants in the area. Staff were friendly, other guests were friendly and quiet. We had a great vacation other than a few issues with our booking

Parking lot/dumpster area was quite messy so there were visible rats in the parking lot every morning and night. Check In wasn’t great - chose pre payment option when I booked in March, money was never deducted from my account and I had to pay upon arrival. Not a huge deal, but when I booked I also requested a ground level room with a walkout since we’d have our dog with us. I received an email from booking saying my special request was approved. On arrival we were informed that the hotel doesn’t take special requests and ground level rooms with exterior entry can only be requested day of check-in if you call. Breakfast was mediocre but chaotic; not nearly enough space where breakfast is served for the amount of rooms in this hotel. 3-4 tables available and everything is crammed on one section of counter.

Pleasant

The breakfast was nice, combination of both hot and cold items. The patio doors were convenient with outings for the dog. Some renovations were obvious in the room and the beds were very comfortable. Stay was ok for the price.

The room in areas was dated and not entirely clean, eg dirty hand prints on the door frames and dust on the shelves and in the drawers, lamp shades appeared dirty and stained, patio door did not properly lock, poorly constructed door block. Additional charge for dog even tho dog was placed on the reservation at the time of booking. Final price should be the final price.

Renovations are badly needed

Upgrade to entire facility. This motel had a private ownership. It is not part of comfort inn’s motel.

Good

The convivence of being low level with the a dog was good.

Too much smoking outside near the room. Too much litter of cigarette, cannabis buts, candy chewables, and other suspect rubbish dangerous to our dog eating them. The hotel staff did good cleaning next day, but every night large amounts. Not safe to go outside to walk our dog. Breakfast too simple, not enough healthy choices and variety. Too short time. Hot water was not warm enough. Price too high.

A half bottle of water in the room by the glasses. It was used. No biggie just didn't use it.

Disappointing

Location was good

The city has hosted the world junior hockey championships in this TV did not have access to TSN, which is carrying the broadcast We had to leave our room and go to a bar to watch TV and have a couple drinks instead of being able to stay in the room we paid $200 a night for Also, the laundry room is very noisy at 6:37 AM in the morning either washer or dryer makes a clunking noise and woke us up, bright and early on New Year’s Day after we celebrated the night before

Good place for what we paid.

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices. The location was great for where we were visiting and only minutes from downtown.
