Het fenomenale uitzicht vanaf het restaurant, zwembad en de lodges. Het zwembad is (anders dan op veel andere accomodaties waar wij zijn geweest hier) heerlijk koel en een ontzettend fijne plek om overdag te liggen. De manager (?) Camilla is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam en kan al je vragen beantwoorden. De bediening bij het restaurant was ook erg aardig. Via de accomodatie kun je een scooter huren voor 300 baht per dag waarmee je goed het eiland kunt verkennen. Dit is ideaal aangezien het erg heuvelachtig is. Let op dat je wel goed moet kunnen rijden.
Iets waar de accommodatie weinig aan kan doen maar tijdens ons verblijf is de stroom 2 van de 3 nachten elke 5 minuten uitgevallen. De hele nacht lang. Wees je hier wel van bewust als je kiest voor dit eiland want dit is blijkbaar een veelvoorkomend probleem. De generator van de accomodatie kon dit helaas niet goed opvangen waardoor de airco totaal niet werkte en het binnen letterlijk warmer was dan buiten. Wij hebben hierdoor 2 nachten niet kunnen slapen. De airco is overigens ook niet van toepassing op de badkamer. Het ontbijt was goed maar er had wel iets meer keuze mogen zijn. En tot slot: de lodges zijn erg gehorig (je kan je buren goed horen).

A hide away. Very nice and quiet surrounded by nature. Comfy beds, loved laying in the hammock watching the sea.
Restaurant and swimming pool also very nice.
The only thing would be to be aware that you have neighbors who you will hear when both on the balcony.
I would have loved to sit on the balcony in the evening but couldn’t because of mosquitoes. Would be nice to have a anti mosquito coil on the balcony.

ALLES. Es ist einfach perfekt zum entspannen und relaxen. Wir hatten das Deluxe Zimmer (Suite), die Aussicht ist ein Traum wir haben uns wie im Paradies gefühlt. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Es ist ein kleines Resort was einem sehr viel Privatsphäre bietet.

Hier stimmt alles. Super freundliches Personal, tolle Hütten, klasse Ausicht und besonders zu erwähnen die Cocktails, die vom liebenswerten Mr. Nine zubereitet werden. 15 Minuten Dschungelwalk zum Strand mit bunten Fischen. Da kann man nur 10 Punkte geben.

Superbe vue, promesse de l’ecolodge tenue sans rogner sur le confort.
Restaurant et bar à cocktails délicieux ! Merci au barman de sa très grande gentillesse.
Présence de petits animaux sauvages renforce l’impression de pleine nature.
Difficile de se déplacer sur l’île sans véhicule. Possible de louer un scooter mais mieux vaut avoir de l’expérience en deux roues. Sinon, il y a un service de taxi mais le chauffeur est extrêmement désagréable…tous les jours, décevant ! A l’hôtel, indications floues concernant les plages aux alentours (comment si rendre ? ce qu’on peut y faire ?)…c’est un autre client qui nous a renseigné….dommage !

Everything was excellent- the location in the jungle, the room (huge), the cleanliness, the eco approach, the staff and the owner. As a solo traveller the layout and size encouraged connections with others. I particularly like the hammock on my verandah. Big thank you to Nine, Cami and Yves- a very impressive lodge

Een bijzondere overnachting! Alles is geheel ecologisch en zelfvoorzienend gebouwd. Je slaapt in een eco hut met prachtig uitzicht op de jungle en zee. De kamers zijn prachtig, je kunt zelfs douchen met uitzicht. Het zwembad ligt ook op een plateau, zonnen en zwemmen met het mooiste uitzicht. Het personeel is ontzettend aardig, persoonlijk en gezellig. Ze hebben een restaurant dat aan het zwembad grenst waar je lekkere cocktails kunt drinken, ontbijten, lunchen en dineren. Kortom: dit was het beste verblijf voor ons van heel Thailand.

The location in the jungle, the wonderful view, the facilities of the lodges and the friendliness of the staff were simply unique. Yves, the owner, gave us great tips for the island and was also a huge help with personal requests. We can recommend the accommodation 100% and will definitely be back.

Das Personal war sehr sehr freundlich und nett. Die Zimmer waren auch sehr schön. Minimalistisch aber man hat alles was man braucht. Die Dusche war traumhaft.
Es war schade, dass es kein Frühstücksbuffet gab und man jedes Getränk einzeln bestellen musste. Zudem gab es nur schwarzen Kaffee und keinen Cappuccino oder der gleichen.
Aber das ist Meckern auf hohem Niveau.

EcoTao Lodge gave more than just a place to stay. Incredible location with stunning views away from the hustle of the main resorts. Cleverly designed to give you a sense of privacy but with a friendly communal space too. The lodge/room was very comfortable and well appointed with a private balcony with its own seating and hammock ... perfect for chilling after a day out or reading and having a drink. Great shower with views too! Air con really helped stay cool along with the fan was welcome.
Loved the pool and the area around it. Easy to find that sunny spot or a shady retreat whenever needed. Again, well placed fans and mosquito coils helped to avoid getting bitten! The attention to being eco friendly made a difference from eco friendly toiletries, to no plastic bottles and the clever use of waste water etc.
But the best thing ... the wonderful staff team really made me feel relaxed and very welcome. Great communication from the reception staff before arrival including making arrangemenst for transfers to and from the lodge. Very accomodation with booking trips, tours, cooking classes and taxis throughout my stay, and always a friendly 'good morning' each day. Olivier (manager) always took time to check that everything was good but also to have chats with when by the pool/bar making it a much more personal experience. And I keep the best till last ... the bartender (so sorry that I can't recall his name). What an incredibly skilled, friendly and interesting man he is. Brilliant hand made cocktails, very attentive making sure fans were well positioned and orders brought to the lounger/tables, but the chats we had were amazing ... he has such a generous spirit and attitude to life and he was great company. Thank you to the whole staff team for making my stay a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience.

There was nothing that was negative. Some would find it too far out of the resort centres and a reliance on either taxis or hiring a scooter but that was what I wanted on this stay!

Prime location! Very nice view from your balcony in the midst of the jungle looking out over the ocean. Shower was great/clean with the same view as mentioned before. Room was clean and tidy (not a lot going on than the necessities). The manager gave us a good introduction upon arrival.
The cabins were spread out well and separated enough but the room below us impacted the view a bit, we asked to change room but it was full. When we walk from room to exit, you have to walk through the restaurant and pool area where people are eating/swimming which is a bit awkward but didn’t really cause us any issues. You pay for the view. No coffee machine but also no milk for the instant coffee

Ons beste verblijf in Thailand. Wat een mooie locatie met een prachtig uitzicht, mooie kamers die van alles zijn voorzien, ontzettend goed, lief en zorgzaam personeel en daarnaast heel lekker eten. Het personeel denkt graag met je mee om je dagen in te richten qua tours, restaurants en strandjes. De eigenaar loopt de hele dag in het rond met een gigantische glimlach en zo laat hij zijn gasten ook glimlachen. Wij verbleven hier 4 nachten en hebben ons ultiem vermaakt.

Tout… la vue absolument incroyable sur la jungle et la mer, le logement : une cabane, avec un chouette balcon (hamac et table), le petit-déjeuner : varié et copieux, le service de massage : les masseuses viennent directement vous masser dans votre chambre, le personnel : disponible et adorable, toutes les informations données, le service de scooter à disposition directement à l’hôtel…
Mention spéciale pour Olivier, le manager, qui est disponible, chaleureux et serviable, ainsi que Yves, le propriétaire, qui est tout aussi sympathique !

Die Essensauswahl ist super. Besonders das Red Curry können wir empfehlen (auch für Veganer geeignet).

This place was absolutely beautiful. The staff were amazing, the views were spectacular, and the place was spotless. The owner even went around to each guest greeting them, which was a lovely touch. Very reasonably priced for what it is. The spa treatments are also great value. The pool area is also beautiful, overlooking Ko Samui and Ko Phangan.
The menu was a little limited and food was basic. But it was still good!

- Unless you rent a scooter, it is difficult to get around the island. Taxis to and from this location cost upwards of 300 baht each way for a 5 - 10 min drive

The room were very nicely built, right in the djungle but with modern amenities and comfortably. The view from the restaurant/Pool was amazing. Food in the restaurant was very good and staff was super nice. Would stay here again!
We were unlucky to have a party close by on our first night, which made it impossible to sleep, even with earplugs. These parties take place once a month at some location close by, it was just bad luck for us. The second night was blissfully silent with just the sounds of nature around us.
