Le lobby est majestueux et le personnel très souriant et serviable! Notre chambre était grande, spacieuse et très propre.
La salle de bain mériterait de sérieuses rénovations! Pas de wifi dans un hôtel si luxueux est inacceptable. Il faut se préparer à ce que tout soit à des prix exorbitants. La taille de la piscine est décevante, ne pas se fier aux photos.

Le lobby, le service, le personnel et le charme de l’hotel
Le fait que nos voisins sont entres et nous ont réveille à 3h30 et parlaient et riaient tres fort.
Les murs sont minces, nous avons dû appeler la sécurité à 2 reprises.
Les list sont mous et il y avit une étrange odeur dans les corridors.

Check-in went smoothly and the staff were nice. The main floor/lobby area looked nice too, pretty interesting to have a bar in the middle. Location was also great, right across from Union Station and walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants. Parking was also cheap, $10 per day on weekends.
Our suite was close to the elevators and they were too loud. You can hear whenever the elevators were being used and it went all night. If you want to experience a better stay, probably best to request something not so close to the elevators and maybe one of those fancier suites. We were there for only one night and we're already from the city, so it was fine.

Furniture was scuffed and room was small for the price. I have been staying at this property for years and each time the hotel delivers less and less for higher room rates.

The location, easily accessible to the ttc (union station). Walkable to many areas in the city and access to the path. There was a room upgrade and clean sheets and towels. The room was large and spacious.
The original booking states wifi available for paid fee min $15/night, however if one signs up to the all access they get complimentary wifi. The concept of paid wifi for a $300/night room is unconscionable. The soundproofing needs to be worked on especially for rooms on lower floors in downtown toronto. Soaps were replaced daily but the shower gel in my room was empty upon arrival. I didn’t have need for it, so I chose to observe if without comment it would be fixed, but it never was through out my stay. Microwave and min fridge would only be brought in on request. The general experience wasn’t bad but not different from any other hotel. Although it checks off the usual obvious boxes for “luxury” the details were missing and that’s what matters the most.

Access to the buffet breakfast being denied. Being asked to wait 20 minutes. Had previously tried to book a breakfast table and was told over the phone, "you don't need to book, just walk straight in". Luckily, one of the very helpful ladies at "Reign" restaurant reception managed to find me a space. Not having enough breakfast space at busy times is NOT ACCEPTABLE.

The Fairmont Royal York Hotel is a fabulous place to stay whilst in Toronto. The location, accommodation and facilities are spot on.
Have been a guest at this hotel during vacations in Toronto several times during the past ten years and have seen changes which, on the whole, have been mainly positive. The one change which I found disappointing this time was the volume off noise within the lobby area which is now a dining area. The noise level, which would be more appropriate in a nightclub, spoils the atmosphere of the hotel during the evening hours. Therefore didn’t make a booking for dinner there during our stay as my husband and I wouldn’t have enjoyed dining with such an uncomfortable noise level. We dined in The Library Bar instead which was a little quieter.

Line up for valet was over half an hour, line up to check in was over half an hour, we nearly missed our reservations due to this. No complimentary anything, not even water!! Charged me to switch from king size bed to two doubles but didn't tell me about up charge.

We loved the decor of the hotel and the atmosphere within the hotel as well? The rooms was comfortable and the leisure facilities super clean! We would definitely stay at this hotel again, but for a little longer next time :-)!
All was fantastic! Our only negative comment, would be that the pool area could possibly do with an upgrade, as it looked rather tired and also the pool was quite cold, so perhaps heating the pool in the future would be great for guests.

The room , bathroom definitely needed renovating. Bathroom fixtures and renos were surprisingly unsatisfactory.
Always love the old ambiance of the building and rooms but was not happy the moment we walked into our room. Maybe that’s what I should have expected because I booked it through booking.com. who knows.
Breakfast was tasty and wonderful as always.
Staff were kind and helpful. Calling you by name and making you feel appreciated.
As you can see we were happy with everything during our stay except the room.

The building and its historic features. That was the main attraction for me. Loved the paintings of Toronto in the rooms. Staff went above and beyond. They got me on the floor I asked for with a view of union station. The staff said good morning and smiled at the guests. Really nice people working at the hotel.
There are some odd smells. There is a carpeted staircase around the lobby that smells very strongly of body odour.
My room had an undesirable swampy smell. Might be the water system. A little over priced.

Close to train station
Limited wheelchair access and family split over 2 floors and sections of the hotel. Only 1 accessible lift to enter property and on 2 occasions it was broken

The bed, mattress to pillows and linens were outstanding. We'd buy them if available!
The whole room, seperate living area and large closet was awesome. The staff was wonderful. Valet persons really hustled during a very busy time.
The bathroom would benefit from a shelf or place to put our toiletries and have lighting suitable for make-up but it was fine...it's a historic hotel so understand bathroom sizes may be smaller.
Getting complimentary water, just like the coffee pods each day would be a nice perk.

Location location…especially near the holiday season the hotel gives you downtown Toronto holiday vibes. This stay was a gift for my niece along with tickets to the theatre and she loved the entire experience.
The lobby bar did not stay open late. After dinner and show you find yourself coming back to the hotel a bit late in the evening and it was a bit of a let down that the bar was closing and we were turned away.

The location is great, hopping on to the UP train from Pearson and was right outside union station when arriving. The foyer and ground floor was stunning, so buzzy and nicely decorated for Christmas. A lovely atmosphere
The queue for check in was extremely long. We were waiting for 30 mins and there were no extra staff put on to the front desk.
The room was two rooms that had been knocked into one during refurbishment. Therefore we had two very small bathrooms that were not at the standard you would expect for a luxury hotel. The beds were not comfortable and could do with an upgrade.
