The location of the hotel was central to all the local activities and attractions which made this place an ideal home base for our family. The breakfast was wonderful with great selection and always fresh. The service was amazing with their 24/7 staff available for all our needs. They provided great communication to us prior to the trip and took note of our check in time so that our room was available when we checked in after a long flight. They even stored our luggage when we had to check out for a couple of nights on another excursion and returned to the same hotel.

The only thing that was unusual was the trash that was outside on the street next to the hotel but I think that is how the city deals with their trash pick up. There was no way to avoid the smell on trash day.

The Hotel is in a great Location. Right in the centre of the Old Quarter. Michael and the hotel team, are true professionals in the industry. Always at hand, nothing is a problem. Always willing to help and are very friendly and courteous. I will definitely be back.

Pictures in here do not reflect the actual room interior. Room furniture is old and outdated, rooms definitely need renovation. We’ve had a suite with city view - and could see the amazing backyard from our window *irony off* Asked about a room with a nicer view I got told that city view means only that the room is not facing street side. Disappointing

Everything was way better that I could expect for that price. It's on a very convenient location and everything you want to see on the old quarter is basically 5 to 8 min walk. The service from the front desk was top and also the breakfast everyday: in site omelette and pho! Wide choice of breakfast and change everyday. Room was big, confy and quiet. There are some bun cha restaurants nearby and the street is not so busy, so it's less crowded. They try very hard to help their customers and accommodate our needs: they even cared enough to ask my departure flight and offer me a complimentary late check out. Very polite and attentive door boy helped me with my luggage and was always smiling. Can't wait to visit them again!!

The hotel is in a very good location, in Hanoi old quarter, close to everything but still quiet at night. Staff are friendly and helpful. There are a wide range of choices for breakfast. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Hanoi.

Very spacious rooms in the old quarter of Hanoi. We had the top floor double room with 1 door to enter the rooms and a second door deviding the rooms for our children and us. Both rooms had own bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to the manager Mr. Michael

great location to go walk around old quarter. just 300 meters walk to Hoàn Kiếm Lake Park. it's located on 35 P. Hàng Quạt, a well known road by a taxy /limo services. the best one is road facing room (level 5 or 6), and enjoy a nice sunrise before start your morning.

need to publish online, or have a small website. i already stay here couple times before renovation and renamed (as golden sun suite). publish it will make easy to using application (grab /bee /mai linh) that use map service (waze /gmaps /etc.).

Air conditioning condensation outlet pipe through the bathroom ceiling onto the shower floor, attached by rusty wire to door hinge. I shower floor constantly wet. Complained, took two days to move room. Second room, air conditioning down to water from outlet onto bedroom floor. Ongoing renovations in hotel with disruption/concrete dust pervasive. Advertised as four-star hotel, would be any rate as to star under current conditions. Staff tried to be as helpful as possible.

Golden Sun Suites is extremely nice hotel with super friendly staff! The hotel is very conveniently located close to the Hoan Kiem lake and the Old Quarter - yet still peaceful and quiet. We stayed in a junior suite with my wife and daughter and the room was big and comfortable. The bathroom was huge! I don't think I've ever seen bathrooms that big even in five star hotel. The wifi connection at the hotel worked excellently even though I didn't use it thanks to my VN sim-card. The only minor thing that I could complain is that they only provide one key-card to the room. But that's actually quite normal in Vietnam so Golden Sun doesn't differ from many others. And, the electricity works with every kind of card you put in the slot, like I used my Finnish grocery bonus card. And that's not the case at every place in Vietnam, many times the hotels require a card from them (like atm at the hotel where we're staying in Saigon). The staff at the hotel did everything they could to help you feel welcome and satisfied. All of them also spoke excellent English. I have stayed in many places in Hanoi but I would say that Golden Sun Suites makes it to the top of the list. Very comfortable rooms, excellent location, and superb staff. With their prices I'd say it's a steal. Will totally stay here again.

I contacted the WhatsApp number and Jenny arranged a taxi from the airport at a great price, and the driver was waiting with a sign with my name on it. can’t ask for better service than that.
