Was not a pleasant stay

Location was close to the office and that was one good thing, hotel was clean and bed was comfortable, housekeeping did nice job there and also some of the staff were nice like Ellen at the reception as she was super friendly and helpful, also the same goes for Michael and Edwin from the bar.

One of the staff had an attitude and was really rude at check in time, she really embarassed me in front of my colleagues and her way was so disrespectful. Location was close to the office however it was like the middle of nowhere as no restaurants or supermarkets were around in the area, which made this worse as the hotel does not have room service at night or other services, they do not provide amenities or even slippers and compared to the room rate that was really weird for a hotel with a rate of above $250 per night. One more thing, as soon as they got my credit card details for authorization they started charging my card without prior notice and that happened almost everyday, after escalating they apologized saying that was a mistake but still did it again after apology which was really unprofessional, I would never prefer to be in that hotel again.

Great stay!

We had a pleasant stay, comfortable rooms and environment. The hotel restaurant was excellent!! The food and staff were great! We literally had dinner at the hotel restaurant all 3 nights that we stayed there. It was nice after longs days to be able to get a good meal without having to go out to another place.

In geberal, it was good.

Room size was enough big. Coffee and water were provided everyday.

No tooth brush, no tooth paste, and water was leaked under the sink every time I used the sink.

outdated, bad smell in the rooms and expensive hotel.

Our bag was stolen in an environment with those cameras. Staff were very insensitive and uninterested. Don't the cameras of such a hotel record? Can you believe it? We had to change rooms twice. Because there was a heavy and bad smell in the rooms

Good

Having to waiting for someone to acknowledge me at the bar waiting to be served 5 mins is not good,asmile or someone saying something. I also had a problem with my meal, I ordered steak, with a extra potato croquettes and was given a fish cake the waiter obviously didn't understand what I wanted.I am allergic to sea food this would have put me into hospital. I also ordered room service on last day,I wanted soft scrambled eggs,which was not communication to the chef,pork sausages and as a extra I asked for bacon and tomatoes-but I didn't get the tomatoes.I was still hungry as the night before the power went out and I missed ordering a snack from room service.

It was lovely.

Everything was great once I got my “final room”.

Just a slight snafu at the front desk when checking in. First gave me a room # that my key didn’t work for, called down to the front desk and the person said no that is not your room number, then came up to give me a room key for my room but it was so amazingly hot in that room I had to ask to be changed to the other side of the building. They were very accommodating.

comfy beds and bedding, being pet friendly is a plus

you have to pay for parking and the gate doesn’t work and they have signs all over that they aren’t responsible for any break ins. so why are we paying for parking??

paid 5 star money for a 2 star hotel.

The elevator failed and someone was stuck in it. No staff around. No bellhop and I had to move about 6 suitcases myself. Blood stain on the bathroom door behind the door handle. I think the housekeeper missed it.

Exceptional

Lady at front desk was extremely nice and very helpful. Don’t remember her name, but she is middle age.

Mattress in first room was past its prime. Lady at front desk changed me to another room with a better mattress.

A good short stay!

Good hotel, we spent a night before heading to Monterey. Large room, comfortable bed, nice view. Unfortunately it was bad weather, so we couldn‘t enjoy the outdoor area and the pool.

Convenient place in Silicon Valley

The Grand Bay Hotel, formerly known as Pullman or Sofitel is a very convenient place to stay if you do business in Silicon Valley. But it is not a new hotel. The hotel rooms are good but not exceptional. It is clean.

There is nothing that I disliked.

Nice hotel that needs updates to reach its full potential!

The size of the room was good and the staff was very friendly.

it is very outdated, the water in the shower smells very rusty, room could be cleaner and the tv should have Netflix/Hulu options!

we were comfortable and no one bothered us.

we enjoyed the privacy and lake view

when we came in the bed looked like someone had just sat down, it was not well made which also makes you think what else was half cleaned.. and the couch pillows were just thrown on as well. we didn’t bother reception for another room but it does make one feel skeptical.

Fabulous night

Love the size of the room. We especially loved the sitting room /living room, which was big, very nice, and clean. The bed was comfortable, and the suite was warm. It was nice to have a fridge. We loved the suite!!

Breakfast was not included. Not enough lighting in the sitting space, but it was ok.. A microwave would be nice. I didn't find any blanket or pillow for the sofa bed.

When booking the room, I was supposed to specify the number of people, and the hotel knows the number as well, but why do they put one towel and one drinking cup!
