I liked the location, able to walk everywhere.
When I walked into my room it had a very strong odor of bleach and my shower wasn’t too clean. Also my room was never cleaned. When I called the front desk they told me the crew was gone for the day. I was told to put my towels outside the door, they were still there when I checked out.

The location appeared nice on website. The hotels location made my family and self uncomfortable and unsafe. The hotel kept the doors locked and it was 10am in the morning reason was because of safety and said homeless folks wondering.

The room was very nice for the price. The location was wonderful! We were in walking distance of all the french quarter attractions. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we felt very safe at the location.
The checkin process could have been better. The room was not ready for almost 2 hours past the check in time. I understand that we checked in a Friday and it was St. Patrick's Day. It wold have been great if someone had called and given us a heads up that we wouldn't be able to check in on time so we could have planned better.

Like the kitchenette and that everything worked as it is supposed to.
Just one strange interaction with a receptionist who told us we could go around the corner to get a drink when we were trying to get a price on one drink that was at the self-service. That was strange.

The size of the room was great
The cost of valet was insane. Couldn't access the pool. They forgot to give us towels. Had to ask twice. In a hot location, I take at least 2 showers a day cause I sweat. Only 1 set of towels a day for this trip. Also, having to use a card to get into the hotel and the elevator and the room was good for security but bad for practicality. Out room couldn't be farther away from the elevator. Having a family member with a disability made it impractical.

Michelle at the Front Desk was the only employee that seemed even the slightest bit friendly
Our room wasn't ready at 4 on Sunday no big deal at 5:15 it was. however when we got to the room, there was not a shade on the window by the bed. Called Michell at the desk and she sent Engineering, he however said we should move as he couldn't fix it right then. The desk was still a mess with people not being able to get into their rooms so we decided that they could fix it Monday and all would be good. Monday we went out thinking that it would be fixed when we got back, NOPE! but is was like 7:30 so we decided to see what they would say on Tuesday. There is billboard right across from the hotel that were lit up and all night that is all I could see. So Tuesday we talked to Michelle and she said she was sorry, by this time we realized we had not soap or shampoo in the shower or any soap by the sink and the toliet would not flush. We decided to move, Michelle asked if she could just make sure all was good in that room. So we moved and went out for the day. Got back to the hotel and again there was no soap in the showier, no shampoo in the shower or soap by the sink. If our room would not have been pre paid I certainly would have checked out at that point. We have stayed at Homewood Hiltons before and always had a great experience. We work hard for our vacation money and I felt like I spent it unwisely this time.

We love the location. Close enough to the French Quarter, but far enough to be quiet for kids.
Valet guys are super nice.
We visited 6 years ago and assumed we would have the same great experience. I know Covid changed how business run now, but this is not the same hotel. The breakfast was the bare minimum. The staff were annoyed and short with guests, I get it, Karen's everywhere, but when you have kids and they are out of everything at 9 am. They no longer have the social hour in the evening. We reserved courtyard view and received side street with 7am mass and bells. Our room was not clean. Floors were sticky, shower was dingy and the fridge had a handprint in some substance.
I asked for cleaning in the morning, but returned after 2pm and it had not been done. They had come later, but we had come back to rest.
It was cleaned the next day. We love New Orleans, but this might be the last stay at Homewood.

Hotel is located close to French Quarters
The room was not ready when we arrived - towels were missing, linens were missing and we could not get missing items from receptions because there was none in stock!! Breakfast was not impressive at all...

No limpian los cuartos diario tienes que pedir que te lo limpien y las dos veces que lo pedimos no lo hicieron. Al buffet le faltaban opciones. El señor de las maletas no tenía una buena actitud.

The staff were really lovely and helpful. The location was great, quiet for being so near the French Quarter with public transport close by. The rooms were spacious and comfortable
Our room had almost no natural light. The small window looked out over the narrow pool to anther wing of the hotel and people could see in (sit on the window sill if they wished! I felt a wee be caged in! The hotel corridors could do with a make over - a wee bit drab and not looking really clean.

Did not have towels and wash cloths each day. Was there three days ask for towels and wash cloths each day, didn't get them until the last day.
Also the sheets didn't fit the king size bed.

The location was perfect and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I appreciated the quick check-in and check-out experience. The rooms were clean and what I expected (as pictured). I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
The rooms, reception and dining areas were clean, but the hallways were a little unkempt sometimes. This was mostly in the evening though, and it was probably from guests leaving things outside their doors.

Not clean or maintained. Hairs in the shower upon arrival. Mold mildew in the shower corners. Curtain in bedroom hanging of the hook. Refrigerator noise loud with knocking sounds at night. Breakfast unappetizing and had to keep asking staff to replenish. Carpet stains in the hallways. No coffee service in the lobby as containers were empty. Scheduled housekeeping for 1 day but they never came. Not representative of a Hilton property.

Location was perfect for us. It was easy to get a cab or Uber. It was also one street north of the French Quarter. Room was decent, convenient and during a thunderstorm is felt safe. Overall hotel felt safe.
Well, when we checked in we were charged a $300 deposit “just in case we damaged the room”. We didn’t have pets and I’m 56 and my daughter is 22. We are tidy and I wasn’t told about that extra charge on top of a ridiculous rate of $240 a night (with taxes/fees). Staff was not as professional as I am used to in hotels. Not rude but just distracted and not very attentive. Food was meh. We didn’t find much for in the limited breakfast offering.

We are Hilton members. We also travel often and stay at both Hilton and other non Hilton properties. We flew in early, and asked about early check in. We were told rooms were available for early check in, however this particular location charges a 50.00 fee to check in early, which I’ve never heard of anywhere. We could see there were approximately 25 rooms available through the online check in process. This was disappointing to us and seemed unethical

This property was disgusting! There was nothing about this property that was anywhere near an acceptable standard. Staff were unbelievably rude, it was dirty and unhygienic!
This hotel had the poorest hygiene of any hotel I have ever stayed. It was dirty, had an overwhelming stench, rubbish lined the corridors and had dirty sheets and towels.
We had pre booked and paid and arrived late evening. The hotel reception was chaos. Check in took a
Nearly 40 minutes. We entered to our room to walk on squelching wet carpet with windows covered in condensation. There was mould on the walls, ceiling, all through the bathroom and the smell was unbearable.There were no sheets or blankets on any beds and no towels. I went to reception and told them the floor was wet (not damp - actually wet) and they said they would send someone up. We waited for over 2hrs and called reception several times being told someone will be there in the next 10mins, the kids were so tired. No one showed up and when I went back to reception was told their engineer had gone home and they had no other Vacant rooms until morning. We slept very uncomfortably. First thing the next morning I went to reception to request a new room. Again we were told someone would come and inspect the room. 3 trips to reception and another 2.5hrs finally someone came and said yes this floor is wet you need a new room. Wait another 2 hours for a Room allocation. We missed one of our prepaid tours trying to sort this out and staff did not care. Got to the new room it was worse than the one before although this one also had dog faeces on the floor, rodent droppings on the fold out sofa and dirty bathroom with mould used soap and hair. We refused this room and again had to wait for another room allocation. Finally got to another room that was at least mould free and animal feaces free. Although it has tiles falling off the bathrooms walls and floor, broken shower door and dirty cooking utensils as well as someone’s old food in the fridge.
The staff never once offered to assist in changing the rooms or moving belongings, not one single staff member apologised to us - not even once.

I booked a non-smoking room, but I received a room that smelled very heavily of cigarette smoke. I immediately asked the front desk to change rooms and was denied. The hotel doesn't follow their own suite assurance guarantee. I was deeply unsatisfied with the room and service and I wasn't offered a refund.
