Unhappy and we will never stay there again

Didn't stay for breakfast. No staff on duty after 9pm the hotel texted me what room I was in and the key to my room would be in the room when I arrived. Also in the text they gave me a number to text if I had any problems. After we settled into the room we turned the TV on and nothing. I text the number they gave me and no one ever texted us back to fix the problem. I asked a couple I passed in the hallway and they said they didn't turn the TV on. My husband enjoys NASCAR racing Friday nites the trucks off the weekend of racing. He was not happy said he would never recommend The Hotel Belvidere or stay there again with no staff there all night and no one to answer our text.

Because of the quaintness & cleanliness, we enjoyed our overnight stay,

The historical aspect of the property is maintained while providing modern conveniences. And it was very clean & well kept.

Unable to control the temperature in our room and unable to call the front desk because there was no phone in our room. There were no extra blankets, just the throw that was on the bed. We are from south Florida, so are not accustomed to temperatures in the 40’s & would have appreciated setting the thermostat just a little warner.

Wonderful stay in beautiful historic hotel!

The hotel is beautiful and so clean! We loved it and couldn’t believe how quiet it was. It was a fantastic value. We had a wonderful stay and hope to be back soon.

The only thing I would recommend is to Have someone to monitor breakfast to refill supplies as needed.

Room for improvement

It's a beautiful hotel in a quaint town. The location is also close to nearby venues for convenience.

The air-conditioning wasn't working, neither was the television. New people just took over 10 days earlier and should have a phone number to call for assistance after office hours. The air-conditioning was addressed the next morning, but that didn't help our overnight misery.

I would personally stay there again and direct individuals to do the same.

The gentleman at the front was very welcoming and accommodating. He was able to direct me to some very good local restaurants. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated. The bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby.

At first when I went to the front door it was locked and I had to circle the building. The owner did come out and direct me. Apparently the lock on the front door was malfunctioning. But it really wasn't a problem!

Great newly renovated historic hotel full of charm.

This is a great newly renovated historic hotel full of charm. Situated in a quiet little town it was a perfect stop over in our family road trip. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable and the surroundings very quiet, all guarantee a good night sleep. The great veranda on the 2nd floor a nice bonus, we had a great summer evening glass of wine there. The breakfast was nicely organised and plenty of different items to choose from, including bagels, croissants, cereals, fresh fruit and more. We had a great stay here, can defenitely recommend.

Old building. Needs a bit of TLC.

Very quant and charming. Was told the hotel was under new management less than a week ago.

No air conditioning in room. Thankfully windows opened but heard road noise and dog barking much of the night. Heavy hornet presence on wraparound porch.

Go to the hotel and enjoy, it’s great.

Beautiful old hotel nicely restored. Of course it has character as an old property, such as floors that have settled in different directions over the years. But we really enjoyed our stay. Great front porch on second floor, nice sitting rooms, very nice breakfast offered.

Great people and great experience

The experience was fantastic. It’s a mom and pop place which is beautiful because you’re dealing with real people instead of corporate caricatures. Would 100% stay there again.

A beautiful room, comfortable bed in a lovely old hotel on a tree-lined street in a small town.

The old hotel was lovely and well kept. Centrally located on a tree-lined street. Not far from a great breakfast spot. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Plenty of parking.

The cost of the room included breakfast. The breakfast was very disappointing. All pre-packaged and cold and without much taste. I was happy there was a restaurant down the street where we could eat a good breakfast. So, I think the room was a bit over-priced.
