Great experience

It was very comfortable, the hosts were great, very polite and eager to help. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Best hotel in my whole japan trip.

The air-conditioner was hard to control.

Comfortable hotel and a great neighbourhood

Very clean and comfortable. Excellent amenities. Great staff and great neighbourhood.

Restaurants in the area close very early. Would have liked my coffee supplies refilled after 2 days.

大満足です。また宿泊したいですし、今度は長期で行きたいです。

受付の方がとても親切で、駐車場の場所まで案内してくださり、とても分かりやすかったです。

期待していたわけではないので、よくなかったにいれていいのかわかりませんが窓からの景色は特になにもなかったです。

히가시야마 역에서 도보 가능 아주 넓고 아주 깨끗하며 침대와 침구가 아주 편안함

화장실도 손 씻을 비누가 있다면 좋겠음 세정제 향은 호불호가 있으니 무향이면 좋겠음

Self-sufficient 'home away from home' in Kyoto

Loved the Higashiyama district and location, including proximity to a row of famous temples such as Chion-in, Maruyama Park, Gion/the famous 'slopes', Heian Shrine and Kyocera art museum (the Murakami exhibition was wonderful!) - as well as Higashiyama station and various bus routes from a transport perspective. Secured an excellent price (a combination of booking fairly early and an offer, so partly luck). Large apart-hotel style room with nice kitchenware and a much appreciated washing machine, complete with washing liquid. A self-sufficient home base for us while in Kyoto. Hotel staff were friendly (if seemingly universally young - or perhaps that says more about us), and were quick to respond to messages and queries online ahead of our arrival and during our stay. Free machine espresso during the day is a nice touch. Also close to a good Lawson store, which is just across the street.

Street traffic noise from two directions (we had a second floor corner room, putting us adjacent to two major roads). The loud air conditioning helped to alleviate this, but it wasn't ideal and soundproofing could be better. Towel/pyjama refreshing routine/process can be a little confusing and uneven (e.g. one day our towels were not taken despite being left out as instructed, and another day our pyjamas were not returned). The only (fairly minor) quibbles with an enjoyable stay, however!

Spacious and comfortable Kyoto lodging

Incredibly spacious and comfortable room, great amenities, and welcoming reception staff who guided and helped us to our room. Easy access to restaurants, shopping, parks, and temples.

Amazing location. Beautiful hotel and rooms. Fantastic staff.

We had a room with a hanging basket chair and one lounge chair. It would have been much more comfortable if there were at least 2 lounge chairs to relax in at night. The basket chair was fun, but not really appropriate to relax in.

Super consigliato

Tutto molto bello, la camera è un vero e proprio appartamento con tutto il necessario. Tutto super pulito e non manca davvero nulla!!! A 1 km a piedi da Sangio la zona notturna più frequentata di Kyoto e supermercato sempre aperto sotto l’hotel. Consigliatissimo!!!

a perfect stay in the heart of Kyoto

a perfect and spacious room for family (40 sq my), very well equipped with kitchen and laundry. large and comfortable beds.Position very close to some Kyoto attractions and at 200 mt from the Tozan line Kyoto Metro and with a Lawson market just next door and a small restaurant on the right

laundry machine instructions are in Japanese, but easily solved with google translator

Relaxing and very comfortable logging in the nicest part of Kyoto.

Location in Norther Higashiyama is superb combining historic and modern. Walking distance to many temples, and historic Gion, two excellent museum of art, and connection to the subway network of Kyoto from nearby station, also by 3-4 lines of city buses. Access from JRail station by subway (2 lines, 6 stops, 20 minutes). The apartment is very roomy with all amenities (laundry is in Japanese only and good web translator is needed to figure out how to run it). Pleasant cafes and restaurants in the area. Apparently bikes are available for rent, which enables further explorations.

Wonderful coffee machine available in the lobby, but only from 8-17:00 (5 pm).

I desperately wanted to keep this place as my own private hidden gem!

This was a very conveniently situated hotel with a lovely huge room and beds. Also a great bathroom with large separate shower room and modern toilet. There was ample room lighting options and the heating was very efficient - add in an in-room humidifier and you have real comfort. I always stay in the Higashiyama area on my regular visits to see friends who live on Sanjo-dori. This hotel surpasses all the rest that I have stayed in. An in-room washer/dryer and full kitchenette (and next door to a Lawson's store) makes for a very easy stay. Staff were super helpful!

A set of drawers in the walk-in wardrobe and a small bench in the room foyer to assist with taking on and off of footwear, with a couple of coat hooks for winter guests, would make the room ideal! But I am just being nit-picky here - the room was wonderful.
