Entspannt, super leckeres Essen und eine tolle Lage!

Schöne private Lage, direkt an einer kleinen Ausbuchtung. Sehr ruhig und sauber, viele schöne sitzmöglichkeiten im Schatten:)

Good

The couple were very helpful and lovely. Location was great by the beach but a little out the way of main town.

The rooms are very rustic and authentic but if you don't like bugs, this isn't the place for you.

Beautiful rustic property - worth at least one visit!

Beautiful rustic property built by the owner - an interesting lady with an even cooler story! Sadly we missed the renowned pasta. Make sure you make a reservation for it - everyone on both islands speak of it.

Not sure if it was just the time of year but the heat in the room was stifling. Us and another couple sat outside until 2am when it semi started to cool down - the fan in the front room just did not allow the air to circulate. I finally fell asleep when some storm winds started to blow in the room.

The perfect spot between downtown and the best beach

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! the rooms are spacious, clean and right on the water. You are walking distance from Pic-Nic beach (the best beach on the island) and from the downtown area and doc to go to Little Corn. The owners are Italian and will make you a 3 course Italian meal on request- do it the food is incredible. Breakfast is also available with amazing homemade jams and the best coffee.

Not a big issue if you’re on holiday but the wifi doesn’t really reach the rooms

Front of the sea with great sunsets, the Italian couple there managing are such characters, the love what they do, and always up for a chat, they spent the time to explain everything when you arrive. Go out of their way to ensure you have a good time.

A little bit of paradise ❤️

Wow! This place was an unexpected gem. It’s right on the water, next to the most beautiful beach. It’s very rustic and basic but you feel at one with nature! Outside our room was a huge veranda where you could watch the waves and the wildlife for hours! The best bit were the hosts - Costenza and Ali, who cooked us the most amazing meal in the evening, true Italian style - pasta course, lobster and tiramisu 🥰 - then breakfast in the morning and could not have been more helpful. It really is a fantastic place to stay - book it 🙌

Very calm and relaxed

The location is simply stunning, no road, no traffic. Right on the water, so you fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the waves. The whole property is spacious and the room is also very large and comfortable. The owners are very nice and always open to all questions. The breakfast with Italian cappuccino is really delicious and the pre-ordered dinner is fantastic.

beautiful location, great food and very nice owners

very nice owners and very good food! nice Italian coffee! the location is perfect - walking distance to a very beautiful beach (picnic beach). the owners had some nice dogs and cats - well behaved! they really care about the animals there.

the rooms and bathroom could be a bit more „modern“ - but other than that everything was great!

The maid was nice, the lady owner was ok the man unfriendly.

The beach next door was beautiful. The place was quiet, The dogs at least were friendly. The coffee was very good. You had to beg for it but it was good.

The owners were unfriendly unhelpful and made us feel we were intruding. The whole place had the feeling the owners had given up. One of our two rooms had no water.

We felt like we were staying at a rustic European farmhouse.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner food was excellent. Hosts were fantastic, location was great. Beaches were great for walking and swimming.

The double bed is small for the size of the room and two people.

I liked the corn island location and coffee, nice greeting, the view and location was great.

The accommodation very rustic, bathroom was like a cave, trickle of water in the shower, alway damp and smelled. Nails sticking up out of decaying wood on front deck, broken chair on decks, grounds not look after, decay of vegetation and building. Owner seemed to be having some sort of martial dispute with lots of yelling, little to no info about the island, very limited food and beverage. Did not stay for our whole booking, changed hotels at our cost. Booking . Com should consider not offering this property, it is terrible.

The most beautiful place on Big Corn Island!

An Italian Princess at the most beautiful island point! Very lovely Owners from Roma with excellent cuisine!

The rooms are slightly dark with a very basic bed. We highly recommend the wooden bungalows.

A perfect place to relax and get a good nights sleep!

I liked the huge room and bathroom. Lots of space right in front of the ocean. Hammocks and outdoor seating, very close to good swimming beaches.

Rating a property is subject depending on the rater’s values and priorities. In this case our priority was a view of the Caribbean, a lovely beach, WiFi and healthy clean food. We found all of this and more at La Princesa da la Isla. The location is paradise: located in a quiet secluded area of Big Corn Island, it has total Caribbean frontage, all rooms and dining area face the sea, and the property is well maintained. Even though the location is secluded, taxis are easily available for $ .60US per ride anywhere on the island. Our bungalow was one large room, en-suite bathroom, mosquito-netted bed and often used porch. Every two to three days found us with fresh bedding and towels along with daily housekeeping. The beaches around La Princesa are either rocky allowing for wonderful snorkeling right off the shore or lovely soft sand allowing for comfortable swimming in warmish Caribbean waters. The food is a hidden gem on Big Corn. In all of our travels we have never found a Central American facility that offers Italian cuisine. Wait, no rice and beans? You can get that at every other restaurant on Big Corn. Here you get perfectly grilled lobsters, fresh catch fish ( Cobia, Hog Fish, Yellow Tail Snapper, Barracuda, Grouper) and chicken or beef done to perfection. Match your food selection with a glass of Italian wine and you’d think for a moment that you were in Rome. In fact, Rome is the home of the owners Alessandro and Costanza. They bring their old world charm effortlessly to La Princesa. We travel as a mature couple and would highly recommend La Princesa de la Isla.

As I mentioned above, rating reflect the rater’s values and priorities. Therefore, we didn’t mind the morning music that originated from a house in the neighborhood behind our bungalow. ( Actually, We likes the Caribbean beat more then the country!). The dogs barking and roosters crowing are all part of the ambience on Big Corn. Most of these potential irritants were overcome by the turquoise sea and swaying palm trees in our view. Lastly, their WiFi was not working consistently. However, they offered a hot spot if we really need the internet.
