Amazing scenery, good seclusion and spacy room. Very sweet staff.
The amount of bugs after dark. Really nothing to do about it, but there is a lot of insects this time of year, which did play a part of the overall stay.

Not the lodges fault but lots of locusts and bugs with the rains

Food was well cooked and plenty of it. Well stocked bar. Rooms (tents) are large and airy, comfortable with separate shower and toilet. WE had a packed lunch for our dat out in Tsavo
The nearest Tsavo gate doesn't admit visitors, only lets them out; you have to go down to Voi a 45 minute drive to enter, UNLESS you pre book your entry.

We loved this place and would definitely come back! the staff was super helpful, and Beatrice and Simon made sure, we had everything we needed. the security guard Johnston gave us a tour of the place, which was great. the “tent” was big and well equipped and the view from there and the main pool area was outstanding.
nothing everything was great.

We enjoyed the down to earth approach. The tents close to the river are nice. Finding the place is not easy, the sign is quite small. Food is simple but good, and the staff are definitely a big plus for the experience.

Maneaters is a good alternative for those who can’t afford to stay inside Tsavo National Park, location is good for Tsavo East and West.
Tents are very nice and the balcony overlooking the river is great
beds could have been more comfortable and the doors didn’t close easily

We have returned from a stay at Man Eaters Camp & would absolutely recommend staying here.
This camp is perfect as a half way stop on your way to the coast aswell as being a great Safari base.
The camp is easy to find and takes you through the original Man Eaters Camp on the railroad & you can visit a museum full of images and artefacts when you reach the main camp. The location is wonderful. Situated on the Tsavo River it is abundant with wildlife and really immerses you in the environment. The location couldn't be better!
The accommodation is great, you sleep near the River in a luxury tent with the sounds of wildlife to sleep and wake with. Plenty of hot water and a very big, clean & comfortable bed. The tent is super spacious and there is a balcony with lounge chairs to relax on and watch the Hippo bathing in the water below!
We opted for dinner & breakfast meals which were buffet style and very tasty. There was plenty of choice to eat and the setting of the restaurant was wonderful. There was a live singer in the evening which really made the evening feel very special.
The Staff were exceptional, very kind and welcoming. Phestas welcomed us and made the check in process really quick and easy, he was very knowledgeable about the camp history. Nicodemus showed us around our accommodation and made great jokes with us about the local crocodile! We were escorted at night by Johnstone back to our tent who assured us he would be available all evening ensuring all the guests were safe and comfortable in their accommodation.
The facilities are fantastic, there is plenty to do inbetween Safaris, a lovely pool & bar area along with T.V & recreational activities.
A really wonderful stay, thank you and we hope to visit again!

As you can tell by the name Man-eaters is at the location of the famous man eating lions. See the film The Ghost and The Darkness and then go and stay where it happened. The position is awesome with the river at the back of the rooms and wild animals free to roam. There is a slight blight with a new railway that can be seen by some of the rooms in the distance but that is a small price to pay for the being at the 'stage' of the man eaters of Tsavo. We went on a history walk with Nico which was brilliant -even showing us some forgotten victims graves and there is a museum about the events. The complex is in the Tsavo East park but does not have direct access to the rest of the park ( they should work on this) . Saying this it is a perfect stop between Nairobi and the coast and perfect for being near the parks. All the staff were great and Beatrice on the front desk made sure our last day in Kenya was perfect.- thank you. To be honest I am surprised some film buff hasn't bought this place and made more of the Hollywood connection. I can thoroughly recommend staying here but do watch the film first.
Nothing.

The tents next to the animals are fantastic! We saw elephants, a crocodile & buffalos directly at the river next to the tent. This place really gives you the feeling that you are in the middle of wildlife. Staff is super friendly and the food was great. Very good value for money!

Rosemary looked after us for 4 days, and was a delight to be around. Very friendly. Its a great spot for chilling out, taking game drives, and relaxing. Maybe a rebrand to eco-lodge may bring in more customers?
Not a lot.
I can't really think of anything.
I really can't

We absolutely loved everything about this place. The rooms are huge with a balcony towards Tsavo River. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. For lunch, they made us a lunch package as we were on safari during the day. From our balcony and the common area we saw hippos, elephants, monkeys, buffalos and much more. The pool was great for soaking up some sun. But apart from all of that, the staff was the best. Rosemary, Nicodemus, Augustin and everyone else made our stay so wonderful.
Nothing to complain about.

Nice freestanding tents with excellent location. The staff was always nice and helpful.
there were many insects which made it difficult to be outside.

The staff is exceptional and the setting is beautiful. Truly a great African Safari setting. The price is good. You stay in tents that have been converted into permanent structures with hard floors, very firm beds, and hot showers. You have a balcony overlooking the river. I would definitely stay her again.
The beds were a bit hard for my taste.

We liked everything about Maneaters .
Just a few suggestions for the most hospitable manager Festus. Our hostess Rosemary was amazing really looked after our every need.
1. One of our luxurious tents the main door lock and a few of the sockets and light switches did not work.
Very little to comment on.

Tent, Location, staff, room except hard pillows and no water glasses, pool area bar.
Hard pillows. Shower only got warm not hot. Chairs on verandah hard and not comfortable. Some bushes could be pruned outside tent in order to see more of the river.

Great food in the restaurant, the staff were really nice. The room/tent was really nice.
The pool was dirty.
