Loved the size of the suite for my family of four. Toddler friendly.

$15 Internet daily after $500 a night. $50 parking Smaller than a mini fridge that doesn’t get cold, freezer didn’t work. Total price I paid on booking.com didn’t include the additional $30 daily fee.

The staff are exceptional. We requested an early check in, got it with no issues (even ended up with a better room than expected!). We didn't want to valet but the parking staff were still SO friendly and helpful throughout our stay, allowing us unrushed time to unload, load, and helped us find cheap overnight parking. The head of security personally showed us to the pool when we were a little lost. Seems like there are weekly happy hour specials at the bar. Everyone was just so friendly. It definitely made us think that you really do get what you pay for. It's also easy to get to and from LAX, close to SoFi, and a quick trip great shopping and food in the Venice Beach area (HIGHLY recommend Blue Star Donuts, Blue Bottle coffee and the Butcher's Daughter, all of which are 5 minutes drive away).

There was an HVAC problem one of the days we were here that knocked out the AC. The manager personally had letters printed and stuck on all the room doors apologizing for the incident, and the issue was resolved by the evening.

The hotel was in an excellent location, across the street marina, so the view was great. The rooms were very clean and my view was excellent.

On the first of my five days there, the toilet would not flush. I called the front desk and maintenance came quickly to fix the problem. On day two the same thing happened, followed by a repeat visit from maintenance. On day three after the same problem continued, I was told that had the hotel not been completely booked they would've moved me to a new room. The remaining days the pattern continued with up to two calls a day to fix the toilet. Each time I asked for the repair I either went to the front desk or called and I politely asked if a notation could be added to my account so that upon check out I would either be provided with additional Bon Voy points or a partial refund for my inconvenience. At checkout on day 5, the front desk attendant offered to cover the bottled water that I'd purchased from the gift shop - not adequate compensation for my struggles!

It had a nice atmosphere

Loud noise from other room and a very loud air con - had to change rooms.

Location, cleanliness, jacuzzi

They did not have wifi. This made it difficult to order room service as you need to order room service through an app which requires wifi. Because breakfast was not part of the deal we could order breakfast through the app to eat in the room, however, we could not go downstairs to eat breakfast in the restaurant.

The view

The location was lovely and the hotel lobby was very nice, bed was comfy, the view of Santa Monica was nice.

The hotel is in need of some basic maintenance, the elevators were dilapidated and the balcony glass was dirty, our bathroom door handle was falling apart, the shower was extremely tiny. Small details but overall gives you a sense that the property is starting to fall apart as nobody seems to be rushing to fix these things.
