Work on the little things - heat, coffee maker, better service - and they will have something to brag about.

The staff were friendly and it was in an excellent location.

The heat was controlled - cool during the evening and too hot at night I think the hotel room amenities need work. If they’re going to attract good clientele they need to up their game - there were just too many little things that need work.

Perfect location for the theater, very nice modern room , restaurant was very good staff very friendly

Better signage from the parking in the back to the front desk for first time visitors, and the stairs are a bit of a pain but not enough to return in the future

Add an elevator and it would’ve been a 10

The biggest problem was lack of elevator and steep stairs. Though kitchen staff came out to help with first set of 3 flights of stairs. This problem is easily resolved, check out historic European buildings with tiny but serviceable elevators. Or include a warning so that those with age-related difficulties or disabilities.

See prev question. Liked the comfort of bed, size & layout of room. Excellent window soundproofing from street noise. Nicely furnished.

Clean amd comfortable bed. Great location

Bed very comfy.Room very clean. Location great walking distance to Avon and Patterson theatres. Right down town.

Bathroom tired. Clambering up and down so many stairs to the car park. Breakfast not great. Watery tasteless coffee. Room rate seemed high for what I got.

Room was spacious and clean. Bed is comfy. Restaurant is exceptional and the staff are lovely and helpful.

No elevators. But I knew before booking.

Second time staying at the Mercer and we will keep coming back.

For our anniversary we had the steak at the restaurant and it was one of the best meals we have had. Location is at the right spot for walking to shows or restaurants.

The only thing would have been if we could have been able to stay longer and have seen more shows.

Was within walking distance of our theatre - the Avon.

Friendly check-in. Made sure that we were parked in the right area. Great breakfast next morning. Quiet room even though it overlooked the main street. Everything was provided for including coffee in the room.

Relaxing and convenient stay

Super convenient location for our plans to visit Avon Theatre and wander downtown Stratford, clean and comfortable room with high ceilings and a touch of luxury. Would recommend! And the food at the restaurant was great too. There are stairs up to the rooms. This wasn't a problem for us and it was noted on the booking page.

Enjoyed our visit, loved walking around the town.

Location is great, downtown and by the river. A great restaurant is in the building, food is good and staff is lovely.

The back entrance is rather unattractive and stairs are a bit dangerous.

Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Great location for walking downtown. Classic hamburger was excellent! Our king bed was comfortable and the room was a nice size.

Parking was a bit of a challenge. It was behind the building but one level down so one had to carry luggage up a few flights of stairs. Also, there had been a snow storm earlier and no one had shoveled the stairs off or a path to the hotel's front door. After this climb up to the hotel, our room was on the third floor so we had more climbing with luggage. I'm sure if you were not able to make this kind of trek, the hotel would send someone to assist you; staff were very accommodating!

We had made reservations at the hotel restaurant that night and the food was excellent we also had breakfast there the next morning very impressed

We called the front desk for some more coffee pods but never received them other than that everything was good

Nice but needs an elevator

It was a nice room

It was at the back of the hotel and we had to trudge up a dingy back staff staircase to get to our room or an upstairs climb in front and a walk up and down stairs to the back of the hotel as there was no elevator. It’s badly needed.
