this place gets my full recomodation for a budget hotel
This is a Hotel you should go to. The rooms are nice and clean. Even linnen and bathroom is above standard in Mtwapa. The staff is very friendly and helping. The people of the management I met are well educated and willing to help. all in all you get exactly what you see in the internet.
The only thing you have to know is about the location. Out of the point that Mtwapa is developing very fast unfortunately the infrastructure is not. Its not the fault of the hotel, but to access the place you better take a taxi. Boda-Boda's get easiely stuck in the sandy roads around. I assume this will change with time.

Superb
Good family place
Unprofessional comments of the older 👩‍🍳 about sharing European style food with my African boy. He should know that we understand his language.

If the facilities were working properly, I could book there again. But, not at their condition now.
This place has a very good breakfast. The laundry that I submitted was returned to the room a hour before checkout. There are stores on the main street of Mtwapa, about 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The receptionist provided excellent service. The room that I got had a good working air conditioner.
The water stream pressure is very low. The hot water barely flows there. I had to take cold showers most of the time. There is no hotel phone in the room. The TV is some oldie, not a network connected smart TV. The WiFi connection is very bad: 1. It disconnects all the time, so it was impossible to have voice calls. 2. It seems that it is not designed to have many nodes on the network, on hotel level. There were difficulties to connect even with a good signal level. Probably the router was overloaded with amount of connected devices.

Overrated, average, budget place with few good features.
The hotel is close to Mtwapa center in a silent street the locals know the way there. Arrival and check in went fine, we also got a welcome drink. The pool is cleaned and filled up daily. Breakfast is good however breakfast time interval should be extended a bit. Room has air conditioner, ceiling fan and fridge which come handy. Shower and toilet are comfortable. Free Wifi is good and they were uprgading when we stayed there. The manager is kind and understanding.
The hotel is a overrated here. The room is poorly cleaned there are many small bugs, small cockroaches. Furnitures are old and used. Walls are old, sometimes dirty and humid. Breakfast is good but there are many flies and no protecting against. I've seen flies resting in butter and jam many times. We had dinner in the restaurant only once with my wife but that was the first and last time. Quality of the food was below average in spite we had to preorder before dinner so they had time to cook. Room service started to clean normally when we left some tip. When weekend came, all hell got loose.Local familes arrived with many kids and they did not obey the rules at all. Yelling, screaming, jumping into the pool, splatter of water all day long from moring to late evening. In spite all of these rules are written everywhere with huge letters. It seems they apply only for tourists. And now let me share one big minus: i went to this hotel with my wife. My wife is kenyan citizen. One night we came home very late and the receptionist asked my wife's ID card upon entry which was very humiliating. Why did they look my wife a prostitute and asked her ID? Why are they so mean when they see a white man comes to a hotel with a kenyan lady? And we checked in as wife and husband, so they knew who we are.

very good.
Breakfast, location, very friendly female staff, A/C and fan, bathroom and hot shower, daily cleaning of room, excellent security, excellent wi-fi, guest-friendly.
Construction noise and dust, cold swimming pool, many male staff (breakfast) were not particularly friendly.
