Pleasant

Near metro station, near market and history building , staff very helpful speak English

Central Beijing courtyard hotel

Great location. Helpful staff who spoke English. Nice Chinese courtyard hotel atmosphere (admittedly freezing cold in the courtyard but that's Beijing in Winter).

No restaurant, no coffee.

Great location

Great location just a short walk from everything you want to see! We booked a tour to the great wall with the tour lady who was very helpful, spoke good English and helped us book a train. All staff were friendly and helpful. Ideal hotel for backpackers.

We really had trouble flushing the toilet in our room!

Perfect spot for the trip on the Great Wall

I loved the cordiality and how the staff helped us on coming there and go back to Beijing, also their dishes were fresh and very good!!

Great location

The hostel was perfectly located in a great neighbourhood. The room was practical and all the necessary is given to have a confortable journey.

The room was a little bit messy, beatles in the shower, dust falling from the ventilation.

The old Chinese style decoration

Should have the complimentary breakfast facility with the room rate. I was in a single room, it could be a bit more bigger.

Good location, 2* hotel

The location I think was the best of all, because near the hotel I found wonderfull pedestrian street with local restaurants, caffes, shops. Very vibrant and nice, local atmosphere. Staff tried to help but english very bad. I came at night and the girl that was there didnt speak any word in english. Next day during the day the receptionist was able to speak in ENG so all was good. Hotel itself lookes interesting, lot of local chinese elements, that makes the atmosphere special. But room was so so ...very cold, shower very very poor...while taking a shower all water goes out, so you finish in sinking toilet. Not nice. And I didnt find very clean the room. Also not thick walls so you can here the neighbours. I would give 2* for this hotel. But in all if you come just for 1-2 night, its ok :) Price could be lower, but it was the best offer I found counting the location.

Good location and cheap

Good location near Qianmen subway, so handy for a lot of sights and easy connections to others. I was in a single room and it was quiet and secure

Others have commented on the comfort of the beds and I have to agree, there is about an inch of bedding between you and the bed frame. Solution, get very drunk, or perhaps the hotel could just improve the depth of the padding or provide an extra duvet that guests could use to add as a base layer.
