Lieblingsort in Sri Lanka

Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Sanji und seinem Team empfangen. Die kleinen Bungalows mit offenem Bad sind ein Traum. Habe selten eine Dusche so genossen. Der Garten und der Pool sind so schön umgeben von Kokospalmen und direkten Blick auf das Meer. Der Strand ist ein Traum und man sieht keine Menschenseele weit und breit. Man konnte richtig entspannen und sich erholen. Das Frühstück war total lecker und man sollte Abends unbedingt auch dort essen. Man bekommt den besten frischen Fisch direkt am Strand serviert und die Bananen Fritters sollten auch probiert werden. 2 Nächte waren definitiv zu kurz und wir kommen sicher wieder. Ganz lieben Dank Sanji.

Simply paradise

We've had a few extremely lovely days at Sanjis Cabanas. Went there off-season so I'm sure it was all a little bit quieter and even more relaxed than usual. Had the beach practically for us alone, waves were a little bit too high for a good swim, the very clean pool was a perfect substitute. Food was delicious, breakfast plenty (by far the sweetest pineapples and papayas we've had during our travels in this country), the cabanas and the whole area were very clean. No A/C but that was not a problem at all because of the design of the cabanas and a well placed ceiling fan. Outdoor showers were also a very nice detail. Staff was extremely lovely and attentive, Sanji was also around for some very nice chats in German.

Happy days at Sanjis

Very friendly staff. Big variety of breakfast choices. The bungalows are very clean and big. Nice location at an empty beach. All wishes were fulfilled.

Fridge missing but was provided later on request. Big waves, swimming impossible.

It was the best place we stayed in Sri Lanka :)

Amazing płace with fantastic service and beautiful view on the ocean. We have had everything we needed, a delicious breakfast, big pool, comfortable bed and bathroom under the stars. Strongly recommend this place to everyone.

Exceptional

We give 11/10, everything was just perfect, beautiful accomodation, rooms are super clean, nice and friendly stuff ready to make jokes with you all the time, extraordinary and delicious cuisine! We felt super welcomed, it was heartwarming to stay there and thank you, Peter and others, for making our stay so memorable. We felt like at home. Looking forward to coming back in the future.

Very relaxing stay in a comfortable hotel.

The hotel is located just by the beach ! The staff is very friendly, including the manager, always keen on giving good advice. They are also very honest. I liked that they have a partnership with an independant worker for the ayurveda massages. The bathroom outside is just amazing !! I also liked the breakfast, with enough quantity and good products.

The price of the beers is a little too expensive ^^

Relaxing stay at an awesome location

Nice rooms

Super nice location (stunning beach), but venue could be better

- the resort is connected to a beach which is stunning! One of the most beautiful I have ever seen! - room is big enough and very clean - staff is friendly - breakfast was good

- ceiling fan was not working properly (it was rotating, but now creating any wind) which made our stay in the room very uncomfortable as it was extremely hot during the day and still very hot during the night - restaurant´s menu for lunch and dinner was average at best for a quite high price - there was no bar during the day, the only option what to have as a drink was soda, or bear. Beach bar would be great - staff at the restaurant was very slow, but it was usually slow everywhere else too :) - I would not book again

Best beach we had in Sri Lanka. Very nice and comfortable accommodation. Great for few days of total disconnect but there are not many activities to do around in this area.

so far me and my sister and brother were looking at property to stay in fown south and we all have agree to get a cabana

The food and staff

the owner Sanjeewa de silva. ( a horrible man so far i have talked which who doesn’t understand customers requirements and forcing ppl to close the invoice rather than listening to the customers and their own staffs

Perfect place to relax, great service

We loved it here. Very helpful and kind stuff, the best we experienced during our trip. The cabanas with outdoor shower, perfect swimming pool, private beach with sunbeds in palm shade. The restaurant runs all day long and they cook delicious Sri Lankan food but international is not that good. Mandala resort is only short walk from this accomodation and offers good variety of Western food if you prefer it.

The breakfast was average and Wifi connection was very slow.

Comfortable stay, close to beach and tasty food

After two weeks of traveling around Lanka, this was our first seaside accommodation and it couldn’t be better. Nice and spacious Cabanas very close to beach. Always clean swimming pool and tasty local food are just amazing add-ons. We had many request and all of them were very professionally managed by manger/owner. thumbs up

Small haven of peace

Very nice bungqlos with outdoor shower. We even had a small nest with two baby birds on the side. Direct access to the beach with nice trees to relax below and the swimming pool. The staff is also really nice, they also explained local culture and food and they even made for us a special local breakfast when we said we were interested in trying it. Special mention for the german-speaking: the owner is fluent is german.

Because it is located on a nice beach without crowd, it is not in the city center so you will need a mean of transportation to go there.

Beautiful beachside stay!

What a beautiful place to stay! The bedroom, with an incredible outdoor bathroom and private patio, was perfect. The location is also peaceful, and the beach idyllic. Sanjee and his team are very friendly and helpful too. I would definitely stay here again!

The food here was slightly more expensive than other places we stayed and not quite as varied, but the breakfast was good (and included in the room rate).

Exceptional

The location of Sanjis Cabanas is ideal to relax and really being on holidays. Right next to the beach, you can either lie at one of the sun beds there or stay at the nice pool which belongs to the cabanas. The owner Sanji and the whole staff are super friendly and will help you with anything you need during your stay. Sanji speaks fluent English and German and is a great guy!

Best accomodation in Sri Lanka

This place is absolutely stunning. Few bungalows located in a beautiful garden, with outdoor pool, literally 1 min walk to the beach. Every bungalow has an outdoor bathroom which is stunning. We got welcome drinks upon arrival, the hotel manager welcomed us with a beautiful smile, arranged a great massage for my mum and invested his time in chatting with us about our countries, differences, plans for the future, religion and so much more... one night they event arranged a special dinner on the beach for us that was super romantic! They cook delicious foods in the restaurant and one of the few accomodations in sri lanka that serves beer and wine. 5 stars. Will be back again for sure !!

The waves on the beach are too strong, we were struggling a lot with them. Definitely not for children. On the other hand, the beach was very clean and basically we were the only ones there so i was able to shoot some cool footage with my drone.

This was my least favorite stay in my 3 weeks in Sri Lanka.

The outdoor shower.

No AC. The food wasn’t to my liking. The road had been flooded and no one let me know that it would be difficult to reach. Also, the only contact number was someone in Germany.
