The pool was closed for a good reason. The customer has to order the breakfast the day before. Not enough clear communication leaves you without breakfast.

Sideways in was very cute and had All the makings of a wonderful stay. Our room was right off of the pool and they had a bar/restaurant you could order from and take back to your room which was nice. The staff was very helpful and attentive.

We specifically chose our room here because it was off of the pool and we were looking forward to the swim. About an hour after we arrived the pool was shut down, so we weren’t able to swim which was a big reason why we chose that specific location. We also took our food back to the room from the restaurant and had to go back twice because the meal was wrong. The television in the room also glitched all night long and the front desk hung up on us when we called to get it looked at.

A great stop over for our long road trip. A comfortable place to stay, great service, very clean, rooms were lovely, nice pool and spa and the breakfast was perfect for us to take as we got back on the road.

Unfortunately due to the recent storms there were a few issues with TV channels and lack of food in the dining area and our teenage kids had to sit outside, so we found a lovely local restaurant to dine in and eat at. Most of this was outside of their control.

This is our second time staying at Sideways Inn. The rooms are updated and clean, and they welcome dogs, which is nice! Staff is friendly and helpful. There are fire pits on the property, which are nice to lounge around in the cool evenings. There's also a bar, the Sideways Lounge, which has indoor and outdoor seating and offers great food from an on-side food truck from Santa Ynez Sausage company. Overall, a great place to stay close to Solvang, Santa Ynez, and Los Olivos for those wanting to enjoy the valley's plethora of wine options.

I continue to be frustrated by the fact that I can't seem to get the on-site electric car charging stations to work. Having to drive into Solvang to charge is such a pain. Also, their breakfast items and delivery method is a little frustrating. They have you fill out a card where you circle your options and clip it to the door of your room. If you forget to do this, you don't get breakfast. I also wish that instead of just a bagel as the option for breakfast, there was an option for something like cereal and milk, or oatmeal since there are microwaves in the rooms. I also wish you could opt for tea instead of coffee with your delivered breakfast (they have tea, but you have to go to the lobby to get it).

Good location 8 mins to Solvang, which is about 70 bucks more expensive.

My room was facing the freeway, which is quite noisy with the cars passing. And there was no duvet, just a blanket with bed sheets to cover it.
