Overpriced, overrated, uncomfortable stay. Left early.
Aesthetically interesting, unique style and decor.
One of two elevators were not working, they do not have a service elevator so there were long wait times and always filled with staff with large push carts (cleaning or kitchen staff). My do not disturb sign was on the door but the cleaning staff still disrupted me, and knocked just to ask when the room would be available. No coffee machine in the room like the description, only instant coffee packs. Tried checking out before my reservation ended to change hotels, did not stay the night but they still charged me because I did not check out by 11. Need earplugs bc sound travels easily throughout the hall. Record player did not work properly, volume was low despite being at its max. Chair fabric was worn and ripped. View looked directly into the building next door with no privacy or tinted windows. Room was quite small. No breakfast included. Would be more worth it to stay near the airport in a nicer, more affordable hotel, even ubers to a hotel airport would still be more affordable and better experience.

Location is great, walkable, but also great with public transport. Rooms quiet big, with a nice seat, everything was there. Nice place nearby for breakfast café 7 west (2min walk), worth a visit. Nice food and staff. And le croissant (4min walk), try the pancakes. Also nice to start the day. Afghan restaurant around the corner, nice for a quick diner.
Breakfast was a bit overpriced for the choice you get : suggest to go out for breakfast. Bar closes at 10pm, and we arrived at the same time. After a long travelday it was nice to have a cold drink. On Saturday there was a private party so the bar was also closed. If we knew in advance we took a beer somewere else. On the other hand, enough places around...

Overall, a great stay, despite some frustration with the number of homeless people nearby.
The hotel was gorgeous and comfortable. Very nice atmosphere. The hotel staff was fantastic--from the minute we pulled up, we were greeted with friendly and helpful people. It was our first time in Toronto, and the front desk staff was very kind and helpful in answering our questions. The valet staff was very nice and helpful as well. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Overall, we would stay here again.
In the hotel itself, the room was comfortable, but the window blinds didn't keep the light out in the morning. There are also barely any hooks or places to hang tiles in the bathroom. If you're traveling with a family and want to reuse your towels (as they suggest you do), this makes it difficult. The restaurant is lovely but very expensive for family meals. The location of the hotel is just "ok." It is certainly walkable, but there is a homeless camp at a building nearby, which made us uncomfortable. This part of Toronto seems a bit more run-down than other parts of downtown--there are a number of older, sketchy-looking storefronts and homeless people scattered about. There is a lot of nearby construction so hopefully this will improve.
