Poor

I didn’t find a shampoo when I arrived and I haven’t had support to get it. I left a vest forget it there and I couldn’t find the way to get t back. My bed was just to covered, it wasn’t made it well.

I appreciated the location of the hotel and apparently it is the best in Yellowknife.

We stayed twice in three weeks. Nice view of the lake which we requested. First stay was better with more amenities that worked. Location great.

Second stay, the hair dryer did not work properly, there is no bath mat, there was no safe in the room , no bathroom sink drain stopper, the WORST thick pillows (very uncomfortable) and the electrical bar to charge items was dead. I gave the front desk a list and none were repaired or fixed by the time we left. . The attitude was not encouraging. Our first morning buffet was inadequate. All the serving dishes were cold and empty. I had to ask the waitress to replenish the dishes so we could eat. The second time we ordered off the menu and it was quite good and hot (tho the fruit was old). We had the same waitress twice and she was very nice and efficient. We had a baggage problem with Air Canada . Certainly not the hotel's fault but as I was checking out and returning 12 days later , I had zero confidence that the staff would be on top of my baggage issue (if delivered to the hotel while we were canoeing). I asked when I returned and there was no message in my record even tho I had left them a detailed note. No one seemed to care much and I was just passed along with a non specific response. SO, you asked - this was our experience. The room needed repair .

Comfy room, malfunctioning/out of order elevators

Friendly staff; late check-in / check-out

One of two elevators was marked out of service, the second one broke down at check out. Guests had to figure out what happened and then haul their luggage via stairs (me from 5th floor). Posting signs by elevator call buttons on each floor, notifying guests of the outage, would have been appreciated.

Great Hotel and staff

Stunning views over the lake, town is a few minutes walk. Free parking. Staff are super helpful.

Very good

I loved the restaurant, service staff were friendly and helpful. Ruby was a pleasure to speak with.

There were a lot of guests smoking right outside the front door, they would walk in and get in the elevator stinking of smoke - even with my mask on, the smell was overpowering.

Rooms at this hotel have been better appointed in past stays. I find the quality has deteriorated.

Convenient downtown location.

Not enough towels or pillows provided - had to ask for more. Facial tissue almost empty and no extra box provided. No top sheet on bed - I found this unexpected and inappropriate. With just a comforter my sleep was either too hot or too cold.

Better than expected for Yellowknife.

Overall, I was very impressed with the hotel. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The room service prices and food portions were good value

For 2 of the 8 nights there was a lot of noise from an adjacent room interrupting our sleep. The front desk staff were not very friendly.
