A modern hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. The rooms are a little more spacious than many that we've come across on our Japan travels. Rooms are serviced daily (without request!!). There is a quiet room with 24 hour coffee and tea. Also free beer between 5:30pm and 6:30pm each night. We were in Osaka for 4 days but we were never back at the hotel in time to take advantage of that offer so can't comment on it any further.
Metro station is only 2 minutes away and so access to everywhere in Osaka was straightforward. The hotel has a cocktail bar/ lounge on the top floor and also a rooftop seating area. The bar was very nice but it was a bit pricey compared to many other bars that we'd been in during our stay in Osaka.
The breakfast options at the hotel could do with developing a bit.
Guests are allowed to choose one dish from 4 options on the menu. There did not appear to be any other cereals or other continental style options that you tend to get in many other hotels. The breakfasts are ok but are limited therefore. On top of that, on the 3rd morning of our stay (on a Thursday) it did not look like there were sufficient staff on at breakfast. The breakfast that I was given was nowhere near the standard that I'd had on the preceding two days. It was almost as though the kitchen was either running out of ingredients or it had just been rushed out. It didn't look like anyone really cared about what it looked like!! The other 3 days were fine though. It was just one day.

Breakfast was yummy, nothing too crazy but a great easy way to start the day before adventuring out. There was an unlimited coffee machine with lattes, etc. and a water machine which we LOVED! The room was incredibly clean, the toilet seat was warm, room had robes, we felt so safe the entire time, complimentary water in the room, staff was very friendly and helpful, the entire vibe/aesthetic of the hotel was beautiful, and a quick walk to the train stations. We also walked all over to nearby sites with complete ease. Can walk to Dontonbori, may take a little walk but very doable and gets your steps in. Cool things to see along the way too. We've recommended so many friends to stay here when visiting Osaka. Next time we go we plan to stay here again! Truly a wonderful experience and exceeded our expectations in every way.

Al llegar la habitación que nos dieron estaba sucia, el personal nos cambió la habitación pero la otra también tenía manchas en las cortinas, el piso sucio, el espejo sucio, entendimos que no habría sentido cambiar a otra habitación, el roof no era lo esperado, el desayuno tampoco muy poco y sin opciones ni siquiera para comprar, si te quedas más de una noche no vale la pena.

Room was small and bed was a very small double. Small shower but was ok. Didn’t love the location - not much happening right in the area. Would stay in a different location if we returned to Ōsaka. The hotel is also trying to be very fancy which gave it a bit less of a friendly atmosphere.

Good location with easy transport links to areas across Osaka. Nice rooms and the free beer from 5.30 to 6pm and from 9 to 10pm each night was great.

The hotel was honestly immaculate, we were gobsmacked by how modern and well presented everything was especially for the price.
It was comfortable, amenities were great, they provided everything from toothbrushes - body wash - hair / body supplies.
There’s so many goodies included which makes it so worth the stay. Highly recommend!
Oh and the English speaking was incredible.

Our stay at the lively was really great. The staff were lovely, our breakfast was enjoyable every morning, rooftop bar was sophisticated and romantic. Our bed was HUGE. Rooms were spacious with comfortable pyjamas provided. Lots of options for food nearby including a 7/11 down the end of the road!
The location wasn't amazing, a bit tricky to get to and from using maps and trains. Got more used to it towards the end of our stay.

Very clean hotel and room. Perfect for getting around Osaka as it is 2 minutes from a station and a 15 minute walk to the river and bars.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Very busy communal areas with questionable music choices at times. I wouldn’t advise anyone over 35 to stay.

We stayed here only one night, but it was probably the nicest of our whole trip - the last of our trip. Great having a bar and the rooms were larger than usual for this style and price of hotel in Japan, and nice beds, spotlessly clean rooms. The bar and the rooftop view was great - interesting cocktails too - though we are not usually cocktail people. We were lazy on our last night and ate in the hotel restaurant and we very happy with the food at a very moderate price. Location is central, nearish to the castle, and the centre of town - though several metro stops from the shinkensen station.
No onsen-style public bath. We saw the marketing that the target age group was 20-30 and had a laugh as we are in the 65-70 bracket!

And reminded on the additional costs should we be a minute late from checking out!

The hotel common spaces are really nice, good places to lounge or meet other travelers. Each night they have a good free happy hour which was pretty cool.
The theater room was a bit of a joke - I expected it to be like a pull down screen and it was really just a temp screen put right in front of the TV, so you actually lost space in an already small room. Our projector kept overheating, but it seemed like a standard issue there and the front desk gave us a new one as soon as we went down and asked. Beds with the theater room also were some of the most uncomfortable we've had in our two weeks in Japan.
Also wish just some amenities were in the room or they had lotion bottles instead of packets.

The hotel looks very nice and is comfortable. We loved that it had a separate toilet for this size room. Great shared area on the second floor. Restaurant was nice in the evening.
The breakfast I didn’t like so much. Would prefer a buffet or a menu with more choices. I think it was like 3 options? There was a door to the outside, in the restaurant (not the main entrance), where people came in and out. Which made it cold inside. The bed was too small for us. But that’s just a personal preference maybe. I think the hotel focuses on young people and therefore the music was a bit hyped up in the shared areas and I prefer a bit calmer music, so it’s more suitable for all types of people and things they’re using the areas for.

Modern boutique style hotel with excellent large rooms and good size beds. Location was more in a business district with not many restaurants near by, but a short taxi ride gets you to main shopping and restaurant areas. Train stations are close by. Free beer at Happy Hour was a nice touch. Friendly staff.
Breakfast menu was limited, so we actually went out for breakfast. Limited eating places in the area.

Loved the hotel. Cool, well located, clean, great facilities and nice rooms. We booked a corner room with a bath - worth the extra money. Great space in the room and very quiet at night. Super close to the metro and plenty of good spots to eat and drink not far from the hotel.

Great modern hotel (extra points for the design / ID) and located close to many train station entry points.
The rooms were understandably small (as per many Japanese hotels) but sufficient for our 4 night stay as you’ll barely be in your room when travelling in Japan anyways!
The staff were extremely helpful. They helped arranged for our luggages to be sent to our Tokyo hotel in advance and that was such a convenience.

We did a lot of travelling in Japan and have to say The Lively Osaka was the best hotel we stayed in. The staff are exceptional and could not do enough for you, so friendly and respectful. The Hotel itself is extremely comfortable, spotless clean and the location is fantastic. Restaurant is really good and the roof top bar is a must. There is also lots of shops, restaurants and bars all close by.
I could find any fault with The Lively Osaka
