Nice but not a 5 star hotel

Nice property with a nice Thai feel and design to it. Facilities in some respect were excellent (gym, room amenities etc)

In other respects the hotel was simply not up to the standard of a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was one of the worst I think I have ever seen (stale almost inedible selection, and a salad bar that was a good poisoning hazard) and the spa whilst nice had a steam room which barely worked. Similarly on the staff front whilst there were some lovely staff, others were useless and the door men stood around not opening doors or helping with taxis. I also had problems with the room rate which were different to what I was told they would be. All in all a nicely designed 3 or 4 star hotel.

service is just not good enough .. staff is either not tentative enough or not enough staff , especially at the entrance , I have to find staff several times to help with the luggage. staff at the restaurant is not trained enough.

Very good

The hotel is amazingly comfortable. The rooms are lovely and the staff is very kind. Overall very relaxing stay.

Again, the hotel is top-notch, but I was not 100% satisfied with the breakfast: the lack of many international options and overall not the quality you expect from such a hotel.

Superb

Very calm and relaxing atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. room was quiet and immaculate

Some door staff were a little aggressive with the green health code. I understand it’s important, but one guard was very rude when my partner’s phone battery had died, despite having seen our health code several times during that day, he followed us to the check in desk to demand we charge the phone and show the code (which he had already seen an hour or two earlier).

Shanghai Staycay

Everything! Such a wonderful staycation!!! The free flow gin was the best! The bed was so comfortable!

It was such a fabulous hotel- there's not much to complain about. The only complaint would be about the lack of mirror space in the bedroom- it made it slightly difficult to get ready with a hairdryer etc.

The King Room was very nice and also spacious. The in-room facilities were great and very modern. Location was perfect for bars and restaurants. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and provided high levels of service. Breakfast was very good. Loved the gin bar!!
