Exceptional. Staff was friendly and welcoming.

In unserem Zimmerpreis war das Frühstück enthalten, was wir regelmäßig im "Westin Club" im 19.Stockwerk genossen haben. Dabei hatten wir einen schönen Ausblick - entweder auf den Tafelberg oder den Signal-Hill und die Waterfront. Die Frühstücksauswahl mit Eierspeisen und frischem Obst im Glas war sehr gut, dabei guter Service und angenehme, stressfreier Atmossphäre. Dort gab es auch täglich ab 16:00 bis 19:00 eine "Happy Hour" mit sehr guten Wein, Bier, Softdrinks und verschiedene Häppchen. Das Zimmer war groß (37qm) und gut geschnitten. Die Lage des Hotel war sehr zentral und wir konnten viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichen. Die Lower Longstreet beginnt direkt am Hotel. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind auch 2 Haltenstellen der Hop-On Hop-Off Busse. Zur Waterfront brauchten wir ca. 20Min.

Das Internet war sehr langsam und oft total überlastet. Die Bettdecke war viel zu warm, weshalb wir eine dünnere Sommerdecke geordert hatten. Die war aber immer noch zu warm.

Steam Room

This was one of my favourite hotels in cpt. It has since been strained by the lacking of professionalism, upkeeping of rooms and facilities, and most important knowledge and a smile. This is way overvalued for what you really get. In particular the front desk, bar and spa facilities. Even the masseuse didnt show up! Very disappointed!!!

The breakfast was very basic.

Position is comfortable if you have a conference in CTICC, on the other side of the road. The cost of stay is quite economic compared to European standards. Breakfast is excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful.

There was some hair in the shower at our entrance, promptly cleaned by the staff upon our request. Air conditioning was noisy and inefficient: our room was exposed to sun in the afternoon, and it was impossible to cool it down even if we were in the cold season. Sight from the window (3rd stage) was disappointing. Walking outside is unsafe, as nearly everywhere in Cape Town.

The location is good. It is about 15 minutes to walk to V&A waterfront. The bed and pillows are comfortable. The breakfast is ok but not delicious. The value for money is average.

The staff at the reception was absolutely unhelpful. We needed to have separate bills due to being on a business trip (two people in a double room). The receptionist assured us that we would receive the separated bill at the time of checkout. We confirmed this the day before our departure, and they assured us again that the separate bill would be prepared. However, on the day of our departure, they refused to provide it. This is unacceptable for a five-star hotel. We will not recommend anyone to stay here.
