まず、駅から近いところです！鐘路3街駅（ちょんのむさむがえき）と言う駅が最寄駅です。7番出口が1番近いです！日本語を話せるスタッフの方がいらっしゃると口コミで見ましたが、話せるスタッフさんでした。ですが、翻訳などをしてホテルのことを頑張って伝えてくれてとても嬉しかったしわかりやすかったです。場所的には、明洞、ソウルなどにアクセスがよく電車もあまり乗り換えのいらないところにホテルがあると感じました。とくに、東大門に近く夜にnyunyuやミニブランド、マスクショップ、広蔵市場にも歩いて（10分くらい）で行けました。近くに、E martもありヨーグルトを爆買いしました。店員のお兄さんも優しいです。ｲｹﾒﾝっホテルの中は、とても清潔感がありホテルに帰ってくると安心感があります。 2段ベットで、枕元に携帯を置く台やコンセント刺す場所があり充電し忘れて寝てしまうことがなかったです。とくに、コンセントはUSBも挿せるところがあるので変換器が無くてもコンセントを使うことができました。冷蔵庫はちっさいです笑不便と思ったことはほとんどないです！ぜひ泊まってみてほしいです！スタッフさん、LINEでたくさん教えてくださってありがとうございました！またお願いします♡

Lovely stay near Insadong area

The location is pretty convenient, you have access to multiple lines and close to Seoul station. It's also walking distance from insadong area which has a ton of cute cafes and shops. The room itself was pretty roomy and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. I think value wise this is a great hotel for what you're getting.

For the shower, they provide you small towels daily so if you want a normal bath towel then bring your own.

The best stay in Seoul.

We've stayed in three different hotels in Seoul, and this one was the best. It's insane how different of an experience staff and cleanliness create. The staff was excellent, the location was ten seconds from the temple, close to everything that we needed, and everything was super clean, plus, very nice shampoo and hair conditioner. You can not ask for anything more.

Everything was perfect.

Great location, clean and organised rooms

Excellent location close to lots of nice restaurants and cafes. Very close to the subway and walking distance to Changgyeonggung palace. Lovely and clean, staff very friendly.

Bed was very hard and small bathroom with shower over toilet but I think that is typical for Seoul.

A perfect place for solo female travellers looking for a centrally located hotel.

Excellent location, brand new and clean facilities throughout the building, professional and friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again as a Seoul-born person currently living abroad for work. I personally love that it's located next to a Buddhist temple, and had a lovely view over it from my window :)

Superb

The hotels in Seoul were super expensive during my period of stay, so when I came across this much cheaper hotel I didn't really have much expectation. But I was wrong! The room was super cozy, staff were all helpful, the wet room that worried me the most turned out to work just fine - definitely will stay here again the next time I'm back in Seoul!

The location was my least favourite part, despite it still being convenient. The hotel is located at the quieter part of Jongno 3-ga, so at night time it could get a bit scary lol, but if you walk from the main street then turn right into the parking lot, there's enough lights (don't follow the alley route that Naver map recommends). Also if you're coming by metro a big luggage, coming from line 1 would be super tiring as 90% of the walk are stairs. Make sure you find that lift near the entrance to line 3, then you can connect to the lift that goes straight to street level.

great stay and very nice and helpfull host

it is in a small and quiet alley but yet very central. next to Jongno 3. nice bed and the room is very efficient. colors are calm. rooftop is great!

the shower is right next to the sink. it works fine but is a bit different from what i am used to.

Exceptional

Everything. this is one of the best value hotels I've ever stayed in. the front desk receptionist was very warm and pleasant. everything was immaculate, and the attention to small details in the design of the rooms was noticeable. the location is also very good. right next door to a beautiful temple and the great city palaces.

a perfect stay

we couldn’t have been happier at tongtong. the staff is extraordinary friendly and helped us with everything we needed. the location is perfect, the room superclean and comfortable. we made great memories here and i would love to come back as soon as possible :)

Clean but basic room, relatively close to the subway. I didn’t get a chance to experience the roof

Hotel has a strict no guests policy, which was a downside for me and was not mentioned before booking. I thought about complaining but, by the time I found out if was too late for me to book anywhere else. Upon checkin, they give warning after warning after warning about various things that would incur fines; of course, all hotels will charge you if you damage something or stay too long past checkout, but the list of things that will be charged here was longer and more detailed than at other hotels (eg, 10000₩ for failure to return the plastic keycard), which made the checkin process uninviting. Truthfully, though, neither of these issues were dealbreakers for me. The worst part was the comfort of the room for sleeping. The blinds in the room didn’t block much light and the mattress was unbelievably, almost impossibly hard. I’ve stayed at 5 or 6 different hotels in Korea, so I understand that Korean mattresses tend to be firm, compared to the US standards I’m used to. However, this mattress was more firm than any other Korean hotel I’ve stayed in — by a lot. I woke up in pain and unable to sleep well throughout my stay.

Amazing

The location is exceptional. Very close to the main attraction in the city center and with good metro stations nearby. Super clean and confortable, the stay was amazing, wouldn't change a thing.

rooms are small but they have everything you need and it's quite cozy. everything is very clean, which i appreciate

actually the reception boy was very nice, but we gave him our laundry and he returned it wet to our room and we had no time to dry it more as we had to leave. this was very annoying. also the reception hours are from 7 am to 5 pm

Perfect - Good area, very quiet place and great staff!

The staff was super nice and helpful. Although they were not fluent in English and I was not fluent in Korean we were able to easily understand each other. :-) The place is in a very convenient area. We loved the room and the view on the rooftop is beautiful. We will definitly stay there again in our next trip in South Korea! :D Thank you very much again for your recommandation for the Royal Culture Festival and your kindness :-)

A little hidden gem - a magically cozy stay for me!

The small hotel is ideally situated in the city center and close to Ikseondong area with many cafés, restaurants and bar, yet in a quite side street. The staff is very friendly and caring and it wasa easy to communicate with them during and prior to my stay through KakaoTalk. The room was very cute and actually bigger than expected from the pictures and was indeed very comfortable. The staff made sure to exactly honor my request for windows and view on the temple which I appreciated very much. The room and bathroom were very clean and all was new and well maintained. There are lots of useful and well thought amenities in the room, such as a back massage device, great aircon and lighting system, make-up mirror, hangers and water is provided daily. I felt very cozy in this small room and even though I was traveling with a huge suitcase, there was definitely enough space. I also did not fell inconvenienced at all by the monks chants, as I had read this in some other reviews. The first night I used the earplugs that were kindly provided (very much attention to detail from the kind staff) but soon did not need them anymore. Upon Check In, even though the lady did not speak English, rules and information were provided clearly. Oerall, although the hotel seemed to be fully booked, it was very quiet in all parts whenever I was there.

I would have wished it was possible to access the rooftop later at night. As I had been busy exploring, I could naver make it in time to enjoy the rooftop view or maybe have a drink up there in the evening due to the restricted hours. If people use it respectfully, it would be nice to let residents go upstairs whenever they want to use it. I sometimes felt the price was a bit high on certain nights when I checked availabilty (as it was different for every night).
