Location

Staff were not well trained, reception staff were not competent. Housekeeping staff ignored the Do not disturbed sign everyday, knocked on the door to clean the room, stating she then could go have lunch. When I asked to have the sofa bed made up staff just left bedding items on the sofa bed, stating it wasn't a bed,she didn't seem to want to do it. though on booking.com site, it was presented as a sofa bed, and it was made by some staff during our previous stay. The attitude of some staff were completely careless and arrogant. We will not choose to stay in W Suzhou again.

Never been disappointed at the W before, unfortunately.......

The W lives up to its expectations as one of the better luxury hotel chains around the world. Very helpful and attentive staff in all locations ever ready to help you. We loved the location of the Toro Loco restaurant on the 37th floor and the terrace above. The Terrace is a great place for after dinner drinks. The W is attached to the Suzhou Centre mall which is probably the best and the biggest shopping centres I have seen in China. Great variety of retailers and excellent dining options in the mall.

We were disappointed with the air conditioning in the room as even after setting the control to 19 degrees before going to bed, it was quite warm in the middle of the night. This happened across both the nights we stayed there and it cost a few hours of sleep each night. Secondly we could not view any of the channels on the TV as the "OK" switch on the remote failed to work. Unexpected experience as we expected better room conditions at the W.

We have not had the breakfast but room services were also very good, all in all very comfortable stay!

All Staff were very friendly, actively supporting. Bar has good vibe, not like a typical hotel bar. It was a pity we could not go to the high floor bar, that would have been great.

Another amazing stay

My second stay at the W in Suzhou! Even better than before. The facilities are beyond great and I totally recommend the grilled chicken sandwich!

Great, but not a good choice during national holidays.

All the facilities were top class.

Last time I stayed here I gave it 10 cause i really felt it was flawless. However this time I stayed during one of the national holidays and it wasn’t such a great experience. One reason why I don’t like to stay in the hotels in the lesser developed parts of suzhou is cause some of the behavior inside the hotel is a bit.... uncivilized, for want of a better word. And this time here was similar. A random dude sitting in the gym in normal clothes, watching tv and taking pictures of people while they were exercising (including me) without them knowing. A parent screaming at his kids while we are trying to relax in the jacuzzi and sauna area. Is it the fault of the hotel? Not sure what they could do. But being more vigilante of poor behavior would be a plus. Kids shouldn’t be allowed in the jacuzzi area. On the second day it was better.

Perfect getaway

Amazing breakfast, shower and bed! Lots of great facilities and the only drawback is that I only spent 2 nights and couldn’t try it all. Great central location with access to Suzhou Center Shopping Mall.

Cannot give it less than 10

Even before check in we had numerous emails making sure were OK and had everything organised. The rooms was colorful and funky. Service is impeccable from the word go. We will be back very soon thank you.
