About this lodge
Located in McCall, this lovely lodge for $1,097 per night is a great choice for your next break. This unique handcrafted home has custom woodwork throughout, natural stone and tile bathrooms and a large fully equipped chef's dream kitchen. Majestic Ponderosa Pines cover the property. There are nine parking spaces off the road for vehicles with a couple of spaces for toy trailers. The great room houses the large kitchen, an eight-foot dining table that seats 12, a wood burning fireplace and 2 seating areas for relaxing. The kitchen has a 12 foot island with a granite countertop, 5 burner gas cooktop, a double wall oven, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks and bar seating for 6. The dining room table seats twelve and additional folding tables are available. A projector and surround sound in the great room makes it the perfect setting for large meetings. The main floor has 3 bedrooms; one of which is a master suite with a private bath. The other 2 bedrooms are across the hall from a full bathroom. In addition there is a full bathroom off the main floor laundry room. The second floor has two wings. The south wing has three bedrooms, two baths, including a second master suite. The north wing has four bedrooms. two full baths. Just outside the back door is a roomy covered deck for relaxing in the shade and just a step down is a lovely garden patio with umbrella tables to accommodate 35 guests. There is a propane firepit and a propane BBQ for our guest's use. This property is located just off Lick Creek Road within easy walking distance to Ponderosa State Park Beach and Davis Beach - 1/2 mile. It has a large, cozy great room with a wood-burning fireplace. The home features old world ambiance with repurposed wood floors and custom woodwork throughout the lodge. There are two laundry rooms. You might get lost in this large home with 10 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. The third floor features a roomy bunk room with 7 bunk beds, 3/4 bathroom, a large TV room with lots of seating, an air hockey table and a kid's climbing slope with a slide. The third room has toys, foosball table, and a basketball game. The lodge is located on a large tree-covered lot with plenty of off-road parking for 9 vehicles. It is situated nicely between Ponderosa State Park and McCall Municipal Golf Course and only one-half mile to Payette Lake beaches. In the winter there is cross-country skiing a block away in Ponderosa State Park. Brundage Mountain Ski and Snowboard Resort is only a 12 mile drive from the Lodge. There is sledding close by in town and a lift-served sledding hill just outside of town. Snowmobile trails cover the landscape, as well as ATV and dirt bike trails. Mountain biking and hiking trails are endless in this beautiful mountain terrain. There is a zip-line over the trees just South of McCall. There truly is something for everyone here, regardless of skill level or age.

This property did not disappoint on its ability to accommodate our large family reunion that spanned four generations. The great room and kitchen allowed us to be together with enough seating for everyone. The younger kids especially enjoyed the upstairs bunk area and game rooms. The host's were supportive with our few questions. The property had everything we needed to a create a forever memory family reunion. We recommend this for large group's who desire a beautiful destination in Idaho.

This is by far our favorite family reunion location of all the places we have ever been. We have stayed at the Conifer Lodge twice. It is clean, large for big groups to have space to relax and enjoy time together. There is a fully stocked kitchen, with every gadget, appliance and pan you could need for a large group. The game room with adjacent climbing wall for the littles and another play room with a dollhouse, dress ups, air hockey, books, games, etc. There is an air conditioner and a separate ceiling fan in each room to keep the bedrooms comfortable on the hot days. A nice basket of bath essentials is in every room and a full set of towels for every guest is in each room as well as linens in all the bathrooms. We were also greeted to fresh flowers on the kitchen table and a basket of goodies a well. I honestly can't think of anything that could be added to this lovely place.
It is an incredible place for making wonderful memories. Conifer Lodge will be in our hearts forever and hopefully we will be able to return in the future.

This was our third family reunion at this beautiful lodge. It met and surpassed all our needs and desires. The kitchen is well stocked for large groups and sleeping accommodations met all of our needs. There was a nice variety of activities in the kids play area, which makes it great for the adults who want to relax and visit. The surrounding area has lots of outdoor activities. Everything was very clean and the grounds around the lodge are well kept and beautiful. We highly recommend this location for any large group but especially attractive for family reunions - great for families reconnecting. It was especially exciting to see the beautiful deer that frequent the area.

When we booked the property, we thought it would be a group of 35 but it whittled down to 29 after one family had to cancel. This cabin offers beds, rooms, & space. Otherwise, the furnishings are pretty spartan. The upper-level was fun for the younger kids. The location is ok--a little ways from the city/water, but for a group this size, it's about as good as it gets. Generally, we enjoyed our stay and it worked out for our reunion. There was one item that rubbed me the wrong way. Upon arriving after a 6-hr drive to McCall, the owner of the property met me with an additional contract to sign. Having used Vrbo extensively in the past, this caught me off guard because the terms of the stay are supposed to be spelled out at the time I booked the property. Having a secondary contract that isn't presented until you arrive and have no other options isn't acceptable and violates the terms of what I had already agreed to. The additional terms were mostly reasonable, so I don't know why they don't include it in the original booking. One of the additional terms was that they could charge you $100 for something as simple as unplugging a lamp and failing to plug it back in prior to checking out. This is absurd and I never would have agreed to it up front, but I was held hostage at check-in to sign the contract. I expressed by displeasure to the owner about being presented with an additional contract at check in but he seemed indifferent.

This was the PERFECT place for a large family (or combination of several families) gathering. We had a group of 10 adults and 11 kids - and we didn't for a moment feel cramped (quite the opposite - we had extra room!). Frank and Kitty were gracious hosts - and their cabin was exactly what our group was looking for. The kids had the time of their lives playing in the game room(s) and sleeping in the bunk room! The grownups were able to gather and play games on the main floor with a GIANT kitchen to cook meals. We plan to come back soon!

Conifer Lodge is very clean, quiet, comfortable and has everything you could need. It is very near the Payette lake and Ponderosa state park. Close to all the lovely restaurants in the area. The whole place made us feel at ease. Frank was easy to talk to and friendly. I️ would 100% recommend a stay here!

Large, beautiful property right next to downtown McCall. Extremely family friendly!
We rented this property for a family winter/ski weekend and it was perfect! We had beds for everyone and plenty of bathrooms (no issues with water getting cold quickly in the showers). Kitchen and living room were great for entertainment and family meals. We also had 4 kids with us (infant to 2.5 years) and they loved the place. Plenty of games and activities for all of them (including a dedicated game room & rock climbing wall). We enjoyed our stay very much!

The 3rd floor with the bunk beds was not even used...so much extra space. The expansive family room was so awesome for everyone to be able to gather, talk, and meet. The kitchen had everything we could hope for, and the ladies LOVED the in-floor heat. Amazing! Frank and Kitty were great to work with as well...wonderful. Thank you so much!
