Located in Egremont, this attractive cottage for $230 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. There is only one cottage--30' away from our home--on this three-acre property. It has its own entrance and its own parking space. The pool is shared with us, but you will have it to yourselves for most of the day--just ask for private time. There are windows on three sides, a ceiling fan and a window fan. The Berkshires in spring, summer and fall are alive with beauty, and now is the time to plan your restoring getaway to this idyllic studio cottage with glorious views of the rolling hills and verdant meadows. Nature lovers, artists, writers and all who cherish tranquility will take particular delight in this unique spot. Perfect for any couple (can accommodate a small child, too), this gem of a cottage offers a romantic break that will appeal whether you are an active hiker or biker, or just want to sit under the trees or by the pool with a good book and savor the unsurpassed scenery. You'll be on a secluded country lane, but only minutes from downtown Great Barrington with its restaurants, music, theater and shopping. It's an easy drive to all area attractions and great Appalachian Trail hikes. The area roads are also ideal for biking. Bedroom/sitting room, kitchenette, full-size fridge, full bath. We can also assist you in finding just the right activity for your stay, whether it's hiking the state's highest peak, Mt. It was an excellent stay overall. Particular highlights were the breathtaking views from the property, especially at sunrise and on clear nights, and the central location affording convenient access to all of the Berkshires.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Frederica's guest house! The 'French country' vibe instantly made us feel at home. The pool and grounds were even more stunning than the photos.
The highlight was definitely the pool area and the beautiful grounds. The relaxing atmosphere and natural surroundings provided the perfect escape!
We were pleased to bring our two golden doodles along, although the on-leash requirement was a bit restrictive. Nonetheless, it didn't significantly impact our overall enjoyment.
In summary, Frederica's guest house offers a charming retreat with its cozy interior, breathtaking pool, and tranquil ambiance. Our hosts were wonderful and thoughtful. The cottage was a perfect summer getaway and retreat for me, my husband, and our 4 year old. The pool was a huge hit with the little one and us. We made sure we took a daily dip. My toddler was ecstatic about the Hello Kitty toy waiting for her! The stay was perfect and our hosts met all of our needs. Can’t wait to return!

The view is gorgeous! Frederica is a wonderful host. We had a peaceful week with our little dog in her quaint cottage. It was roomy enough for us to work, eat and sleep without feeling crowded. It was our first trip to the Berkshires and we took short drives to the cute towns of Lenox (25min), Stockbridge (10 min), and Williamstown (1hr) Great Barrington is a quick five-minute drive down the hill with a lot of great restaurants, shopping and pop-up live music on the sidewalks. What's not to like?- it was awesome!

Beautiful, quiet country retreat an easy drive from many cultural attractions! Large and airy, with ample room for two, it's an easy place to spend a week without feeling a bit cramped, with great views and a thoughtful host who provided many extras and was always available but respectful of privacy. Hope to return next year!

Absolutely gorgeous property. The views cannot be beat, especially from the pool. The space is cute and cozy, totally enough space for two. If you do nothing else on your trip, swing over to the Berkshire Mountain Bakery for a pizza and some ciabatta.

The cottage is just perfect for a stay near Great Barrington. The windows have breathtaking views of farmland and Berkshires. Frederica is just a fantastic host: helpful and available, but not at all pushy. GB has some of the best food in the Northeast and hiking and walking and running--directly from the cottage and nearby--is stunning. This was my second visit and I look forward to returning!

Quiet and cozy studio apartment. Tastefully decorated, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Very comfortable bed. Gorgeous views of the fields adjacent to the property with hills on the horizon. Easy check-in/out. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. We were welcomed with a nice bottle of wine and a bar of gourmet chocolate.

We had a great time these last few days. This is a good location. We got to Tanglewood twice and also to the Mount and the Rockwell museum. This cottage is lovely.
Love the beauty and serenity of the area. Enjoyed the use of the pool and the kayaks. The take out at Aroma was delicious. We are looking forward to going to the Clarke today.
We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to return.

We had a wonderful stay at this Great Barrington cottage. A lovely spacious one bedroom with kitchen and bath. Very convenient to all that the Berkshires have to offer. A beautiful view of the surrounding hills out of our window and a glimmering pool to boot! The hosts gave us all kinds of useful information beforehand about hikes and other nearby amenities. We will be going back!

This was our second stay, three weeks this time, and we will be back, fate willing. The photos are a perfect representation. Excellent shower, very comfortable bed, ample room for 2 (for us these basics matter), best views in the Berkshires, really, a beautiful bargain.

Great location in terms of things to do nearby, but also the view on site was stunning every time of day and night! Private, quiet, cozy space, friendly hosts. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to come back.

Great Barrington Retreat
This cottage sits on a beautiful piece of property next door to the owners. The surroundings are bucolic including a sheep farm down the road with working dogs. You need a car to go places. The cottage itself is very simple with simple supplies. There is no stove but there is a toaster oven and a microwave that sits on top of the refrigerator. Great Barrington is a great place to get the best impression of the Berkshires. Plus it is not too far from other notable towns such as Lee and Lenox. One can also visit Bash Bish Falls or venture into Columbia County in NY. If you love the great outdoors, you can find great hiking spots such as Monument Mountain or biking around the town on remote roads. I found my stay very relaxing.

This property was well taken care of and in a great location not far from downtown. We took advantage of all the walks/hikes recommend to us and explored Lenox and west Stockbridge as well. Hosts were pleasant and available. Thanks!

Gorgeous & Breathtaking
From the moment we arrived we felt in awe of the pool and the view, and the feeling of being tucked away into our own little paradise. Also Great Barrington was a very short trip away, where we could get tasty treats and beverages to enjoy, and hike the beautiful paths. The town is very progressive, people were respectfully wearing masks, and the vibe was welcoming and accepting. Our host was friendly, responsive, and available when needed, and we felt very comfortable being ourselves. We are so grateful for having been able to enjoy the rest and relaxation we needed.

Perfect Summer Location
Spectacular views with a solid efficiency apartment. Poolside is grand looking towards the Berkshires. No stove/oven but there’s a microwave. Great dog option with a wonderful grass field for frolicking.

Most beautiful view in the Berkshires!
I cannot say enough about this amazing cottage and property. Our hosts were just lovely. I felt especially cared for when a storm knocked power out briefly and Frederika checked in on us immediately to let us know flashlights and candles were in our room. The property is stunning and the location, while close to town (great restaurants and shopping) is as beautiful a country setting as one could ask for. I was able to “work from home” a few days and enjoy pastural and distant mountain views. The pool was a wonderful bonus. Just loved our stay. We hope to return soon !

Pleasant Stay in Great Barrington
My wife and I stayed here in August 2020 and had wonderful time. The property and surrounding area are beautiful. The apartment is cozy and exactly as advertised, and the pool is amazing. And to top it all off, the host was quick to respond, very accommodating and incredibly kind. We highly recommend staying here!

Perfect Getaway!
We had a wonderful stay at this studio cottage in Great Barrington last week! After 5 long months in self-isolation in NYC, this property had everything we needed for a relaxing week away. The cottage itself is very comfortable and perfect for 2 travelers. We were a little concerned it would be warm at night with no AC in July, but it actually got very cool and Frederica left great tips for managing the temperature well. The pool on their property was simply perfect and has a beautiful view of the hills around their home. This is also a great location to feel like you're in the middle of the countryside, but just a quick drive away from the town center with plenty of shops and restaurants. We had no trouble finding places to eat with outdoor dining and were also able to grill for ourselves a few times. Great proximity to hiking trails as well and we spotted a ton of wildlife including two bears, a fox, and beavers while driving around. Could not recommend this property more highly!

Gorgeous property with stunning pool and clean, quaint studio.
My daughter and I greatly enjoyed a week at this studio. The views are spectacular, the pool was crystal clean and property well tended. Close proximity to town is fun for eating out and visiting shops. Great walking with views like non-other Ive seen in Western Mass.

Relaxing stay
We had a very relaxing stay at Frederica's and Efren's property. The view is stunning, the pool so wonderful, and the rental really nice. We had excellent weather for the entire time and spent much of the day outside. There are great hikes right around the apartment as well as a bit further afield. And there was amazing food to be had in Great Barrington Check out the Bistro Box -- that was really the best.

Lovely stay in Great Barrington
We stayed at the lovely cottage of Frederica and Efrem. The cottage was clean, with all the necessary amenities. They even included a lovely bottle of wine.
Location is perfect for visiting GB, but also other towns of the Berkshires such as Lenox, Southbridge, Lee, etc. We did a lot of cycling while there and the roads were great.
The pool was a nice respite from the afternoon heat, and the views from the property are the exact reason to travel to the Berkshires. Additionally, our hosts welcomed our little dog, and she loved running around the beautiful yard!
We would definitely recommend the cottage to friends, and hope to return again ourselves!

Awesome Getaway!
My husband and I were only able to stay at this property for a few days, but our time there was wonderful! We enjoyed the serenity of the property and beautiful views. The cottage was clean and well stocked. It was everything that we needed for a relaxing few days. The time that my husband and I spent relaxing in the pool looking at the beautiful surroundings was priceless. Frederica was very attentive and anxious to make our stay the best that it could be. We wish that we were able to stay longer!

Heavenly Stay
What a beautiful slice of heaven Frederica & her husband have created. The space was charming, comfortable and well-appointed. The pool --overlooking a stunning Berkshire view --was a great place to unplug from the world with a nice long "float". A bottle of wine, fruit and chocolate were lovely & hospitable touches with the nightly "light show" from fireflies in the field rounding out a relaxing and romantic experience. We will surely seek out this lovely haven if our work travels bring us to Tanglewood again!

A Little Slice of Heaven
The picture is real (except we didn't see the rainbow). It's a lovely first floor studio cottage with a kitchenette; very comfortable, well stocked, and beautifully decorated overlooking a gorgeous scene. The pool was an extra pleasure. Great location -- minutes from downtown Great Barrington and a short drive to Tanglewood and many of the other special Berkshire locales. The hosts are very gracious and helpful. We highly recommend and would definitely return.
