The mattress in the bedroom needs to be replaced. You can't really sit on the futon. Need another chair. Very clean and the front porch was a great place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee.

This was an amazing little spot, so close to Duval and some very good local restaurants! Will definitely be staying again if available when we come back!

In town for Fantasy Fest. The location was a convenient scooter ride to Duval St. Super easy to navigate around town. The residence had everything we needed - and worked well for us. The property manager was easy to reach and work with to help with a couple minor requests. We would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Older house that has been well taken care of.The house was everything we needed. Towels we clean, no stains. We dropped off our bags while housekeeping was cleaning and walked to Don's bar and had a drink while waiting for the house to be cleaned. The area is very quiet and cozy. Sandys cafe is around the corner and has the best Cuban sandwiches and coffee. The only I would mention is that I couldn't find trash bags and I was looking for a broom to sweep and couldn't find one. The owner is great and easy to get a hold of. I would definitely stay here again and plan to again.

Perfectly located, friendly neighborhood and a gem 💎 of a place to stay….. 😉

Nice and clean. Cute place! Nice porch - we enjoyed relaxing here with coffee in the mornings. We were provided with all that we needed for our stay in the house (a friendly reminder to leave WiFi instructions for the guests🙂). Free parking is available in front of the house and the side streets and we never struggled to get a spot.
Very good location. Very quiet neighborhood also. Walking distance to Duval St, and most places in town or the historic district. I would rent it again.

Everything was as it showed and said it would be. Very clean and quaint. We actually overpacked thinking things wouldn’t be there that actually were( paper towels, dish towels, coffee filters, dish soap etc) but also all sorts of amenities there like beach chairs, little George Foreman grill, ironing board and iron etc). Parking close was never a problem, and there was a lot close enough to walk to. The upstairs neighbors were nice but barely saw them in our comings/goings. Checking in/out simple and communication with owner easy. We enjoyed our stay-thanks.

Great location if you want to be close to duvall street. Small but cute. Bed was very comfortable with a controled raising of head etc....very suprised. Lots of supplies if u wnt to cook in but we went out. . water pressure in bathroom sink was not good...shower was. Ac kept us cool....when there but we were not there much....loud but did the job. Like most of key west u r close to your neighbor so u can hear everything. Wish the host would include maybe bikes to use while there....only due to parking limited.....we rented a golf cart and used it most time....parking is limited....but where isnt? lol reasonable off season rates....however during season there are nicer places for same amounts per night. ...our towels had brown stains...upon arrival. so went to buy our own towels...never used the ones she had on bed upon arrival. Other than that....the porch was nice to sit out on but tabke wasnt level and coukdnt drink wine on porch...needs some improvements but overall a cute close spot to duvall. if u dont want to be close to duvall...for the stay.well an updated location would be nicer. Thanks

This was a great house with a great location. Our goal was to walk everywhere, which was accomplished.

We needed a safe clean place to stay close to the ferry dock and places of interest in Key West. This was the perfect place for us. My niece said the futon was comfortable. The window unit was noisy the first night. We turned it off while we were at the Dry Tortugas and it ran quietly after that (maybe needed to defrost?).

Our stay was great! Very clean and great communication. It’s very close to many attractions. We rented a bike and didn’t use our rental car the entire stay. Thanks for having us!

Our stay was pleasant, and the neighborhood is quiet. Please respect the neighbors around you. There are a few non-resident parking spots on the road which were easy to get. A laundromat is just around the corner, should you need it. There is a kombucha bar, Cayo's Kombucha, just around the corner on Truman Ave. It is so worth visiting; this is a perfect midday rest stop for some refreshing kombucha. The famous El Siboney restaurant is just a few blocks away as well, no more than a ten minute walk.
The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking essentials, which I appreciated. Pots, pans, dishes, silverware, cups; spices and such, too, can be found in the cabinet above the stove. I wish there were some dish towels stocked, but because I read a previous review, I knew to bring extra from home.
The bathroom, though I didn't use any, is also nicely stocked with sunscreens, aloe gel, shaving gel, and hair essentials like a blow dryer. Poke around the bathroom cabinets, and you'll find it. The water pressure at the sink is minimal; fine in the shower.
There is a nice choice of board games in the front room, and a basket of tourist pamphlets.
The property is clean and a testament to Marilyn's cleaning crew. I ran my finger along random surfaces, and didn't find dust. The property is dated, but has what you'll need. I'm grateful the nightly price isn't astronomical.
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay on Varela Street. Thanks Marilyn!

This property is perfect for two. It is very cozy. Parking is very easy. You just have to parallel park. We ended up walking everywhere since everything is in walking distance. You can rent bikes, scooters, and golfcarts if you would like.

Our stay was quiet, fun and comfortable. We were in walking distance to most of the attractions of downtown Key West and, if not, it was a short Lyft/Uber to everything else. We found parking for our rental car right around the corner for the duration of our stay. The only thing we would've loved is access to a couple beach chairs to bring with us to the nearby beaches.

Cute small 1 bedroom. Great location- we mostly walked everywhere if it wasn’t too hot. Front porch is cute for a glass of wine or coffee in the morning.

This was mine & my husbands first trip to Key West to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. This was a perfect place for the two of us. It’s located in the heart of all you want from Key west- shops, restaurants, grocery, sceneries, bars, art galleries, excursions, museums etc. Yet, the neighborhood was still somehow peaceful with all the action surrounding it. The neighbors were very polite. The house is very clean. It is actually nicer than the pictures with many upgrades added that are not included in pictures. Such as flat screen tvs- 2 of them. One in the living room and the other in the bedroom. I recommend updating the pictures. We were able to watch Netflix since we brought our hdmi port just in case, which we were expecting not to since the picture shows a box tv. So that was a nice surprise. The ac, water pressure, plumbing- all great. The bed & pillows were comfy. Cute kitchen. Working coffee pot. we rented a moped for our 3 day stay which made parking in the neighborhood and all of key west so much easier! I highly recommend Marilyn’s home! She does a great job!

This is our second time staying at this location. We love Key West and the location of the house. The house is close to all the action but located on a nice quiet street. It is an ideal location for us since we travel from the house to all locations on the island via bikes. The house has a nice front porch where we can watch all the action on the street and the unit is perfectly sized for the two of us. We plan to visit again.

Needs updating of kitchen, bath, bedroom, very low water pressure. . Very loud window air conditioner units, could not hear tv unless u turn volume way up. Front door out of square, can hardly open or close

Nice little place in quiet neighborhood. Less than ten minutes to water on south, east, and west sides.

There was nothing especially wrong with the property, but the host was not shall we say neighborly. We had booked for two of us, and ended up traveling during the Blizzard of '22 and were not even able to get there until 3 days after our initial booking (we felt lucky to have made it at all). We thought all was well and we would just make the most of the time we had left but got an 11pm text from the host threatening to keep our "deposit". After several texts asking her for clarification, she finally replied three days later - but first asked us to confirm we had electricity (we knew the people in the unit behind us had no hot water and their fan wasn't working). If you stay here, know that:
~There is NO additional bedding - no extra blankets, so if it's winter/cold, you're using space heaters which are stifling in such a small area
~There is no broom for the sand
~Host may tell you there is no cleaning fee, but will claim to not know how to refund it when she charges for it, and then you will wait 10 days for her to send a check (yep!!)
~There is one small kitchen towel so you'll either be laying out your dishes on paper towel or drying them with a wet towel
~The grout in the kitchen counter tile is missing so yep, kinda gross germs (but nothing awful)
~There is rust on the kitchen faucet
~There are two closets you may see in the pix of the one bedroom but there is no room in them - the host has them packed full of her stuff. So if you have a big suitcase, one can fit under the bed but otherwise you'll be looking for a place to store your luggage (it's a very small unit)
~If you park your bikes on the metal bar in front, expect an 11pm text from the host threatening to keep your deposit (just be sure you know WHICH metal bar she wants you to use!)
~She is charging market price but is not investing any of it into the property itself. It's quite dated.
Overall we would not have left a poor review (and we never have before, on VRBO or any other site) except for the host's really unfriendly attitude. It was Christmas for crying out loud, we had been through horrendous travel, were days late stuck in airports while her unit was unused (nights we paid for). Only on the last day did she text like 5 times because she was worried I'm sure about her review; her explanation for her threatening text was a "family argument" but she sure didn't care that we had been through hell getting there.
We loved the location though! Dead center of the key.

This was our first time utilizing a vacation rental so I don't have any other experience to compare it to. I just wanted to say that this place was clean. It was small but had everything you need for your stay - comfortable bed, spacious bathroom/shower, full kitchen, TV and Wifi, space for your bike rentals, and a cute porch for morning coffee. Small doesn't both me since I was there to enjoy everything outside of my vacation rental.
It was in a quiet, safe, charming little neighborhood. Grocery store a block away. Bike rental a couple blocks away. On bikes, everything we wanted to see was a 10 minute or less ride away. We would definitely rent this space again.
I feel like we got a deal for the location and accommodations within the unit. Marilyn answered all my questions and was more than happy to help if we needed anything else.

Wonderful neighborhood & house. Great place to bike from to see Key West.

House was fine for the two of us.Everything was within walking distance if you are able.I sustained a leg injury prior so it was a bit tough for me.We were able to find parking within the block each time we left.Only downside, worst pillows ever.

Quiet street, perfect property for 2 people. Sandy's is around the corner for great Cuban coffee and take out, or 15 min. walk to restaurants, otherwise if you're not a walker, rent bikes or a golf cart.

Very Clean! Perfect getaway for a couple!
Only downside,bed pillows are flat/uncomfortable.

Our stay was perfect! We were close enough to walk everywhere but out of the noise. Our place was clean, cozy and especially comfortable. Marilyn was always quick to respond. This was my first time to use VRBO and it turned out great!
Thanks for the memories.

This is my second time staying at this property and again it did not disappoint. Clean, well-maintained, reasonably priced and quiet — exactly what I wanted.

Quaint cottage in a nice quiet neighborhood close enough to everything iconic about Key West, but far enough away to avoid crowds. Equipped with all the essentials: coffee pot, hot shower and porch with seating. It's actually a nice kitchen setup, but with all the fabulous coffee houses and restaurants nearby, you'll be spending you time exploring all the different food choices, rather than eating in!

The house and area were perfect! Close to walk or bike in just minutes to every thing fun to do. Will definitely be going back again!

The location of this adorable bungalow is PERFECT. Off the Duval strip for quite relaxation, but close enough to the action. Also situated near great shipping and dining (Mayanjali ... yum!). It is small and quaint, just what one needs on a Key West holiday.
