Nestled in Durango, this charming house for $150 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The Carriage House is a beautiful custom home located in a bustling part of historic downtown Durango. The house was completed in 2011 and was built to the highest standard of quality, with warm timber frame accents, radiant-heat floors, and stained concrete counters and sinks. This house is a legal and permitted vacation rental so there will be no troubles with your stay (project #19-030, permit #19-030). We own another house downtown: the Durango Hideout that sleeps 10 in 4 bedrooms (vrbo# 1150651). The Carriage house has 3 bedrooms, which are all located upstairs. The master has its own spacious bathroom and a king bed. A second bedroom has a queen bed. Then there is a third bedroom that has a queen along with a twin in a loft of this room. The entire second floor has gorgeous vaulted timber ceilings. Downstairs, there is a full bathroom, a great room, and the kitchen, which has bar seating, stainless steel appliances, and concrete counter tops. Outside, there is a front porch and a back patio, which is equipped with a grill and seating. Inside, the on-demand hot water system ensure you will always have plenty of hot water. The house is now equipped AC. We put individual units in the bedrooms and one in the living space so it will be plenty cool. This is the perfect spot to enjoy the Durango lifestyle, as you are in a busy neighborhood within minutes of restaurants, shops, the bike path, the Animas River, and city parks. Sit on the front porch and watch the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Train rumble right by the house, or take a stroll on the river path that’s just a minute away.

Pros: The location is fantastic, an easy walk to downtown. The beds were all very comfortable, particularly the one in the Master bedroom. Amenities were great, with Netflix and anything you might need in the house. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful house! There are three bedrooms (one king and two queens), with one bedroom also having a loft with a twin bed. We didn’t use the loft so not sure about that bed. Cons: The train passes quite close with the earliest train departing at 9am and the last one returning at 9pm. It’s not too bad and could be fun for kids, but not ideal if you plan to sleep in. The lights in the Master bathroom flickered, but this probably easily fixable. Overall, definitely recommend it!

Stayed for a few nights with my family. We had a great time. The house is close to the railroad tracks so the Polar Express came by several times a day which was magical for my little girls. The house has everything you need, the set up is nice and spacious, and the location was great? We will definitely be returning to this one! Only downside I can. See would be if you were traveling with another couple is that the upstairs bathroom is in the master snd the other bathroom is downstairs next to the kitchen. Not a problem when traveling with family though.

Excellent property. Had everything we needed to enjoy our 5 night stay. We stayed Nov.23-Nov. 27. House was quite cozy with very nice family space, kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked and bedrooms had comfortable beds. Easy instructions and communication by owner. Thank you and we would love to come back soon!

The Carriage House was a great location for us..easy access to restaurants and downtown shopping, as well as a trip to Purgatory and up to visit the campus at Ft. Lewis. The house was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. We were fortunate to get to see fall foliage in full splendor.

We had a great weekend getaway at the Carriage House! It was very conveniently located to downtown and we loved walking to breakfast and dinner every night. Easy drive to Mesa Verde and Million Dollar Highway also. Highly recommend!

Our family had a great stay here! We loved the location. Its right near main street with all the restaurants and shops. Our kids loved seeing the train drive right by the house and walking to the Animas River trail. (Don't worry, the train on runs by in the late morning and early evening, so it's not annoying!!) The house itself was clean and comfortable! I really appreciate there being extra supplies like toilet paper, shampoo, paper towels etc...even spices and herbs for cooking! Thank you for sharing your home, we had a great time!

This property was very clean, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, plenty of room for our family of 6 and was the perfect location for our stay in Durango. The access to the river walk was fantastic and the proximity to the train could not have been any better. We loved this property and would definitely stay again.

We loved staying here! Right in town. Easy to walk everywhere. Very nice, contemporary home with everything you need. Beds are comfy and air conditioners work great in the bedrooms. Very clean with plenty of space and storage. Highly recommend!

Great space and fully stocked. The only downside is road noise and daytime train noise. So, windows open during summer weather isn't ideal. There are A/C units in each room, though. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful home with plenty of space. The small patio off the dining was perfect for morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Walking distance to downtown was a plus and the river trail was so close and an amazing walk. Andrew was a wonderful host! Thank you so much!

This place couldn’t be more perfect for staying in Durango! Center of town, downtown restaurants/breweries are easily walkable, right next to biking/running path. House is very clean and comfortable! We were in town to visit friends and participate in the Iron Horse Cycling Classic. This house is situated perfectly on the north end of downtown and south end of the north district. So, location is perfect. Walk to beers and bites; walk to coffee; walk to the river trail. The house itself is very cool and the spaces are very well set up. Communication with the manager was easy, with very quick replies to a few last minute questions. I highly recommend. Cheers

The Carriage House has great design and layout. Kitchen well-stocked - didn’t need anything. We had to work a few days and the WiFi was fast and reliable. Beds soooo comfortable and showers great. Location so close to town. Could hear river from master bedroom - just a perfect place.
