Situated in La Jolla Shores, this lovely house for $1,004 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This spacious 3448 sq ft single level Mid-Century Modern home is close to everything! Just 1/3 mile to La Jolla Shores Beach and steps to La Jolla Shores Village. Situated on a flat lot, guests are greeted with a circular driveway with convenient and coveted off-street parking. The front gate enters to a large private courtyard which includes a deck with grill, outside dining and outdoor seating arrangement. Entering the front door you will find the Parlor/Entertainment room (15’x18’) with a 65" flat-screen tv. Continue through the Foyer and enter the Great Room (32’x21’) - an open space which includes a formal dining area (seats 10), fireplace seating area, and Ping Pong Table. This room features 12' ceilings and an expansive wall of tall windows with views to the back yard. The kitchen adjoins this room and includes a breakfast dining area (seats 6) which accesses the courtyard. The kitchen is fully equipped with dining service for 12 guests, small appliances, cooking accessories and basic pantry items. You might also enjoy the 10+ restaurants down the street - we sure do! The Foyer accesses the Hallway to Bedrooms, Bathrooms and Laundry Room: Master Bedroom (16’x12’, King), Dressing Room (10’x9’) and Bathroom (shower) Courtyard Bedroom (15’x13’, King) and Bathroom (shower) Garden Bedroom (15’x113’, Queen) and Bathroom (tub shower) South West Bedroom (13’x11’, Queen, Crib) shared Bathroom (tub shower) North West Bedroom (13’x11’, Twin) shared Bathroom (tub shower) The Laundry Room leads to a Backyard Shower Porch and path for walking to the beach. It is within close walking distance to La Jolla Shores Village and Beach, and in an area of La Jolla Shores with lower density and larger lot sizes. The location doesn't get any better than this!

The house was perfect for our family vacation! There was plenty of space for 6 adults and three young children to visit and still have some room for alone time. The location was perfect; shops, food, and beach all within walking distance.
The house had everything you need from kitchenware to beach toys. Parking for four cars was a definite plus.
Belinda was quick to respond to any question before and during our stay.
I highly recommend this property!

The house was in the perfect location as it was a short walk to restaurants and the beach. Literally 20 minutes or less to get anywhere around San Diego in our rental car. House was beautiful and had plenty of space for our group of 9, which included 5 kids. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a great family house in a great location that is walkable to town and the beach. This is the second time we have rented and will be renting again next year. This is a fully stocked house and very clean. I would highly recommend this rental.

The house had everything we needed including a crib, excellent kitchen set up, large comfortable rooms, outdoor space, even beach chairs. Walking distance to the beach and restaurants was a huge benefit. Belinda was prompt and helpful with all my questions. We truly enjoyed staying here.

Just a few minutes from the beach and shops, far enough to be quiet and secluded. Everyone had their own bathroom and plenty of space in and out to hang out or separate. A rare combination.

We highly recommend it! We loved the walkability to the beach, restaurants and shops.It's an ideal house for large groups or family gatherings. We're locals who know area well and we picked this house for our family staycation. The house is well stocked and the hosts have thought of everything from supplying surfboards...to firewood to beach gear.

Iconic mid century house that has some wearing. Foggy when we stayed and house was cold; thermostats did not work. Good thing it has a wood stove. Location is great and house design is great.

Great place for our reunion! Our beds were very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this home.. There was one curious thing, we never found the 5th bathroom, unless they counted the shared bathroom as 2, which was of no consequence to us at all! We give this the highest rating!

We were in town for a family wedding- and between the whole family we had rented out several houses in La Jolla. This was by far everyone’s favorite. The location, the amazing architecture and character of the house, everything about it was great. Our only regret was not having either of the wedding parties use this location to get photos which would have been incredible. This is the first location we will look to rent if we come back to La Jolla.

Our group of friends (8 adults, 1 infant) had the most wonderful stay at the La Jolla Shores beach house. We were pinching ourselves with disbelief that we had found such a perfect rental! The house is aesthetically beautiful, with an ideal layout for large group gatherings, cozy fireplace, comfortable beds, and plenty of bathrooms. The outdoor space is beautiful with mature landscaping, an outdoor shower, and everything you need for a walk down to the beach (chairs, surf and boogie boards, toys for kids, and a wagon to carry it all). The beach is a dream for surfers and sitters alike, and we enjoyed walks along the sand and adjacent path multiple times a day. Access to the beach is only half the draw of the location, however--it is also steps away from lovely restaurants, cafes, a sweet market, and everything you need to support your stay. We had intentions to explore other parts of San Diego but were so happy in La Jolla we stayed put the whole time! Can't recommend this place highly enough. We can't wait to go back.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience and house for our first stay in the San Diego area. The house had plenty of room for 2 families with two young boys each and a set of grandparents. There were so many food options - kitchen stocked for all the cooking you'd want to do and restaurants galore within walking distance. If we ever get back to the area, we will certainly look to stay here again!

We’ve stayed at many VRBOs over the years, and this lovely home was our all-time favorite. Just gorgeous, spacious, an incredibly well-stocked kitchen, several inviting outdoor relaxing areas— I could go on and on. And we had a blast playing ping pong!
Belinda was immediately responsive and gracious in response to a couple of questions and requests.
The location is perfect- a very short walk to the beach and restaurants.

The house was a wonderful space that easily accommodated our group of 4 couples— adequate private space and facilities and great group space. While we enjoyed the many neighborhood eateries and did not cook, the kitchen was fully equipped. Overall, our group has traveled together around the world and stayed in many settings, this stay ranks near the top.

We had an outstanding stay. The owners were helpful. The house is large, well-appointed, and comfortable. We particularly appreciated the details such as supplies like toilet paper, dish and laundry detergent, kindling and wood for the wood-burning fireplace, and hand soap in all bathrooms. It was chilly by San Diego standards and so the fireplace was really appreciated in the evenings. It’s a short walk to the beach and easy access to La Jolla Cove, the aquarium, the airport and downtown San Diego. We see why there are so many repeat visitors to this property. We’d love to visit again. Cheers!

This was our second time here and it was just as fabulous as the first time. The house is incredibly spacious and comfortable and was perfect for our group of 3 couples plus two teens. Each couple had their own room with private bathroom and the teens had the jack and Jill rooms with the shared bathroom. We really enjoyed relaxing in the evenings on the wonderful front patio. Will likely be back again next year!

Excellent property. Easy walking distance to the beach with many casual to more upscale eateries. The grocery stores was about five minutes away, no traffic.
The house is large and very comfortable. Lots of room for groups of 6-8 people to hang out and relax. Kitchen was well equipped with all of the essentials for cooking a meal, we also used the gas grill on the patio. Kudos for the extra bottle of propane on hand. Parking for 3-4 cars on the front driveway was very nice. Full sized, front load washer and dryer were excellent. The outdoor spaces were very well kept and comfortable for lounging. Given the proximity to the La Jolla Village it was incredible quite at the house, a huge plus in my opinion.
The house is more than fifty years old and shows it’s age in some areas. However everything works and works well. Communication with the owner was quick, we had no problems for our seven night stay. I would stay at this property again without reservation.

This was our 2nd visit to this lovely home, and I would love to give 10 stars. The owners were very responsive to anything we needed. The home was immaculately clean with plenty of space for everyone (4 adults, and 2 kids). We had bedrooms and bathrooms to spare! The wi-fi is excellent. The tall ceilings and windows allow you to enjoy the lovely spaces surrounding this very spacious home which was designed by Herb Turner - an understudy of John Lloyd Wright, son of Frank Lloyd Wright. The laundry room is huge -and a great entry from outside shower area after washing off the sand from the beach. There is a fine gas grill on the patio we used one evening to cook steaks. The kitchen is very well equipped, and there are plenty of fine restaurants within walking distance - some which you will pass as you literally walk to the beach. There is a wagon to help transport beach items which are provided.
Taking a break from the beach, we visited the nearby Birch Aquarium one day which the kids greatly enjoyed. Everyone everywhere was so nice -- maybe it's the 70 degree weather! We loved our stay, the wonderful owners, and hope to return some day.

We were able to have family dinners, walk to the beach, and be steps from awesome restaurants. The property owners were also responsive and definitely took pride in their home. We were only a 10 minute walk to the beach and there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance as well. The hosts were very kind and reachable if we needed. Best Beach Vacation for a large family!!!
This is our 2nd time staying at the La Jolla Shores beach house. Its the perfect house for a large family. Lots of great sized bedrooms and each bedroom has a bathroom. We loved the yard, it was perfect for kids to play and nap in the hammock! We are already planning our trip for next summer!

This beach house in La Jolla Shores was absolutely the perfect place for our family- 5 adults, 1 teen and a college student visitor. So many bedrooms, each with their own bathroom made each guest VERY comfortable. Common areas were perfect for us to hang. Loved the ping pong table. We also used one of the 2 outdoor seating areas which were just lovely. And the location for going to the beach couldnt be beat. Kitchen was incredibly stocked with everything we could need and the house was immaculate when we checked in. Communication with owner was immediately returned whenever I reached out. Zero complaints and woudl highly recommend.

We came here for a week's vacation with my parents, brother's family, and our family. 6 adults, 2 teens, and 2 kids ages 6 and 4. Plenty of space to be together and to find your own little nook in the house if you need some quiet time for awhile. Very walkable to the little downtown area in La Jolla Shores with great restaurants/bakery, coffee, and ice cream and to the beach and beach playground. The house and garden is beautiful, well-maintained, and comfortable.
