The yurt was a lot roomier than most hotels and is located in a much more peaceful atmosphere. If you are looking for something tucked away from the overcrowded hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, then this yurt's for you. Hosts were very helpful and responsive. Environment controls (AC / heat) worked great and did not ever feel uncomfortable. The property is lovely and quiet.

We enjoyed our stay in the yurt, so much activity around and so many beautiful views. Great place to relax and take in nature!

I am not a camper anymore but the Yurt made it feel like I was. We had plenty of space and the amenities of home. The Yurt was up to date in comfort and in a quiet area. I would definitely stay here again.

My family loved our stay at Acadia yurts! The yurts are cozy and well appointed and we loved the location - nestled in the woods and away from the hustle and bustle. It was a perfect place to retreat to after spending time in Acadia and around the Island's busy towns. We can't wait to return!

What a delightful way to end the season. The Yurt was excellent. Very clean with all amenities. The ease of getting to and from Acadia and downtown Bar Harbor was simple. Hiking in Acadia is always wonderful and being able to return to the yurt at the end of a wet day was perfect. We are already looking for a space in our travels next year for a return trip.

This is our second time staying at the Acadia yurts and we loved it once again. The location is perfect and quiet. The yurts are such a fun place to stay to explore Acadia and Karen and Aaron are wonderful hosts. We’ll definitely be back!

We visit Acadia every year, but this was our first time staying in a yurt. Our stay was fantastic (our 5 yo loved it too). The yurt was clean and cozy, and SW harbor is a great location. Karen and Aaron were excellent hosts and very responsive to any questions. Would definitely stay here again!

The property was great and picturesque. The yurt was very comfortable with all the amenities you need. My kids loved playing outside while we were resting from excursions to nearby Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The hosts were very receptive, polite, and professional. My family took advantage of the wellness center on the property, made the experience that much more fun.

My wife and I chose to stay in the Acadia Yurts while we celebrated our anniversary this year. Everything was just as advertised when we arrived. Check in was easy and the communication with the hosts was always helpful and timely. You couldn’t ask for a better location considering that It is just down the street from Acadia National Park. In short everything was great and we very much enjoyed our stay. We will certainly recommend to our friends and will hopefully be back one day soon!

Perfect setup and location to allow us to connect with nature and explore the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The property catered for all our needs and exceeded our expectations, we intend on booking again in 2023. The kids got really upset when we had to leave.

We loved our stay. The Yurt was awesome, and had everything we needed. Super comfy! The only challenge is cell service is spotty at best. But I'm sure that's an issue throughout the area. We would 100% recommend Acadia Yurts, and would definitely come back!

Staying at the Acadia Yurts was the absolute highlight of our recent trip to Bar Harbor, ME. They are conveniently located on the 'quietside' of Mount Desert Island entrances to Acadia National Park (Echo Lake, etc). The yurt itself was outstanding. We've stayed in tipis and safari tents as well as other yurts and the Champlain Yurt far exceeded our expectations. Namely, there is a bathroom and a kitchen! I mean a full-fledged kitchen with a fridge and a full stovetop & oven. There is consistent hot water with excellent pressure. It's super spacious! The bed and bedding were very comfortable and there is a small table on which we ate our meals or did a puzzle when it rained. They have a well stocked community building where you can borrow items on the honor system with a sign out process. We read actual books and did a couple of puzzles during our stay. The only drawback, and this has nothing at all to do with the owners, are you are within earshot of almost every other yurt/tiny house on the property. This means if you are near other folks who choose to ignore the 10:00 p.m. quiet hour start, you'll be falling asleep to the sounds of them behaving as if they are in their own living rooms oblivious to the guests around them. Karen & Aaron have anticipated this and have provided earplugs and a sound machine which did help. Thanks! Overall, we had excellent weather and for the two days it rained, the yurt kept us warm and dry. The sound of the rain, hard at times, on the yurt roof and the ability to see the lightning out of the skylight was an added bonus. I caught sight of a meteor as well! We'll be constantly comparing every other place we stay, to include hotel rooms. to the interior of this yurt for years to come. The keyless entry makes getting in and out easy and there is a reserved parking space for one car per yurt. There is A LOT to do in the area; they have a great little guest book filled with recommendations from previous visitors which I read the first night. Overall, these were 5 star accommodations and we'd highly, highly recommend them to anyone wanting to experience 'camping' but with the added comforts of home.

We loved the yurts. It was everything and more as advertised. The yurt community was quiet snd well maintained. The yurt itself was clean and modern conveniences were great. Convenient to the park and other areas of the island. We took advantage of the grill and fire pit. We also used several of their suggestions of things to do. .

Karen and Aaron are fantastic! They checked in after our first night to ensure all was well.
