Located in Morristown, this charming house for $401 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. The Rufe House is located 5 miles from Stowe Village on 2 acres surrounded by farmland + a quiet wooded area. Nicely situated on a private drive with no thru traffic. High speed internet with WiFi is provided. Air conditioned. Our home is cleaned in accordance with CDC guidelines for health and safety. Our bedroom configuration with master bedroom and full bath on the first floor and three bedrooms and a full bath with double vanity on the second floor is perfect for small groups or family gatherings! Our 4 bedrooms / two bath configuration can comfortably accommodate 10 adults with additional twin beds for children. The first floor bedroom has a queen bed and one set of bunk beds. Two bedrooms on the second floor have a double bed and one twin bed. The third second floor bedroom has a queen bed and one bunk bed. There is a full bath and laundry area on the first floor. A second bath with double vanity is on the second floor. Relax beside the fireplace in our living room with cathedral ceiling, game table and exposed beams. The stairway to the second floor is open with a second floor balcony walkway that overlooks the living room. Leather couches and a 50" TV complete the living room. There is a second 32" TV in the first floor bedroom. First floor has an open floor plan with well equipped custom kitchen with cherry cabinetry, tile floor. Our dining table can comfortably seat everyone. The dining area opens to a 30 ft deck and private yard with woodland views. During the warmer months an outside dining table with umbrella, chairs and Weber Gas grill completes our deck. Weber Gas grill is available on the deck during the winter months also. All the comforts of home are provided with high speed internet ( internet speed is 200 Mbps)+ WiFi, air conditioning, washer + dryer, linens, abundant towels, firewood + kindling for living room fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, paper products, cleaning supplies, spices, condiments, etc. For your convenience, firewood + kindling are stacked in the basement. There is also a workbench in the basement for tuning skis/bikes Both bathrooms and kitchen have been recently renovated with custom cabinetry, tile floors and granite. Immaculately maintained. Please note that we do not accept rentals over 30 days.

We really loved this place! One of my all time favorites. When we were booking this one stood out w consistent excellent reviews. Highlights - plenty of space, comfortable bedrooms and beds, well stocked kitchen and cozy living room w fireplace. The living room was so comfortable to hang out in. Carolyn was super easy to communicate w and very responsive. It’s clear that she and Al love the area, and want only the very best for their guests. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

We had a great stay at this house. It is super clean, well stocked, clear instructions, and organized. It is the cleanest rental we’ve ever stayed in, which is high on our priority list. The owners are very helpful, and extremely responsive. We had 9 people and the house size fit our group perfectly. We would definitely stay there again if we’re in the area. Awesome all around experience.

The property was great for our large group of cyclists. Lots of room to sleep, well appointed kitchen and quiet/safe location. There is nowhere to safely store bicycles, but we knew this before coming. The area is very quiet and safe, so it wasn't a concern. Carolyn was great to deal with, even offering an early check-in.
Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Huge well equipped eat-in kitchen. lovely large yard with deck, grill, and table and chairs for spending time outside. 10 minutes to downtown Stowe and bike trail. Did I say well-equipped and organized. Nice sheets and towels . Owners available ( answer texts promptly. We would highly recommend !

We had a great week! The house was clean and plenty big for our family (4 adults, 4 kids) and still had room for more. The location was perfect, an easy ride just about 20 mins to Stowe Mt Resort.

The Rue Home is a perfect Vermont vacation home. It is clean, spacious, well equipped and perfectly located. The four bedrooms are roomy with plenty of closet space to accommodate my wife and I, our two adult children’s and spouses, as well as our four grand children (ages 18mos-6 years). The kitchen was also very large with a table that fit us all and is filled with quality plates, utensils and appliances to cook any type of meal. The location is great. It is five miles from the town of Stowe and five miles from downtown Morrisville where you have access to a large Hannefords grocery store. Half of our family skied Stowe and the other half made Trapp Family Lodge their destination. Both were conveniently accessible. The Rue Home living room was the perfect place for our family to get together, relax and recap the days activities in front of a fire in the fireplace. Our hosts made sure that there was plenty of dried firewood in the basement. They have thought of everything! Our family had a great time and consider this one of the best VRBOs that we have rented. Carolyn and Al were extremely helpful with their assistance and suggestions and have made their home a must visit VRBO if you are going to Stowe. Thank you Carolyn and Al.

House was comfortable, clean, overall great. Many exclamations of “Wow this house is great.” The Rufes were very communicative. They warned that despite being 15minutes away from the resort without traffic, you still might need to leave before 7 to get there by 8, which was critical advice.
Comfortable beds, reasonable departure instructions (trash out, dishes clean, beds stripped), huge dining table, nice living room, and lots and lots of bed spaces. If you have a group that’s going to Stowe, consider this one. We would happily return.

Carolyn and Al provided great communication and instructions regarding their home. They gave us so much information on what to do in Stowe. Our group originally went up for a ski trip but the weather did not cooperate too well for us and their list of things to do in Stowe came in handy. Stowe Village is a beautiful area and worth a walk around. If you like amazing pizza at a bargain, I definitely recommend Piecasso.

My group has been staying in rental homes for years by ski mountains. This was one of the best homes we’ve stayed in. The owners were very nice and easy to deal with and the home was exactly as specified. We are picky about cleanliness and this house was very clean and had everything we needed.

Carolyn was the most informative host anyone could ask for. The house was secluded but yet only a short drive to everything. The house itself was spacious and clean , there really was nothing that the house didn’t have as far as cooking or prep. Carolyn provided a packet with lots of great suggestions. I would highly recommend this house and host !

It was our first time in Vermont. We wanted to see the fall foliage, visit Stowe, do some nearby hiking and sightseeing. The owner sent us some visitors information ahead of time which was helpful and made it easy for us to plan our trip and activities.
We had a lovely stay at the Rufe house. The house was clean, fully stocked with everything we needed and conveniently located to all the places we went. We really enjoyed the quietness of the area and away from the busy town. We were happy to go back to the house after a day of running around to enjoy the quiet time.

We LOVE the Rufe house
This was our 2nd year staying at Carolyn’s wonderful home. It is the perfect ski house. Very good proximity to Stowe. House is well equipped and always plenty of fire wood. Upon check in, the house has been consistently clean and ready for us. Very easy check out guidelines and the communication with Carolyn is always easy. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a trip in the Stowe area. Just plz don’t take out wknd!!! 😀

Great location and home
The house was comfortable and had everything we wanted for a winter trip. Our group of ice climbers appreciated the gear table in the basement (overhead light not working?) and the fireplace. Hosts were excellent with communication prior to our stay. Shower head upstairs wasn't good. Huge kitchen table was welcome even though we didn't have a large group. Convenient access to both sides of the notch. Grocery store not far away yet in a nice quiet area. Plow showed up early on the morning after a snow storm to re-plow the driveway.

Super clean, very well organized cottage 5 minutes from downtown Stowe. About 10-15 min from the mountain & had everything you could think of. Clear instructions throughout the house on how to use everything. Comfy, clean linens & blankets. Owners even have extras for each room as well as for hanging around the house. Great for 2-3 families to share for a wonderful ski weekend. We would highly recommend this house to other families.

Wonderful stay in Stowe
We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home over the holiday with another family and really enjoyed our stay. The home is a 20 minute drive to Spruce Mountain at Stowe Mountain Resort which was perfect for our skiing families. The house is very neat / clean with a very practical and easy layout. We cooked dinner every night (there is a grocery store conveniently located 10 minutes away) and found the kitchen to be fully stocked with all of the necessary cookware, utensils, kitchen equipment, etc. The large dining table was perfect for our meal times. What a treat to enjoy a live fire in the fireplace every night. Carolyn and Al had plenty of firewood in the basement. The bedrooms were spacious and all had great storage / closets. Most importantly, our families all rested well on the very comfortable beds. We really enjoyed our stay, and my two young children did not want to leave. They are already begging to go back to the "beautiful Vermont ski house".

Property owners are wonderful. Property was exceptional in every way. We stayed with our 2 kids (3 & 1) and a couple-friend of ours. Everybody had their own room and common area was delightful. Couldn't recommend more!
