About this houserental
Nestled in Stonington, this lovely house for $392 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Entering this private location and home, guests have initially commented on the beautiful setting and the peacefulness that comes from stepping onto the property. Our home sits on 4 ½ acres in a private waterfront community named “Osbrook Point” in Stonington Ct. Bordered on 2 sides by preserved woodlands and the Pawcatuck River on another, this year round home sits upon a knoll and the views and property look out down a gentle slope toward the river where one has access to a private dock and float for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and wonderful views. The view across the river is of Watch Hill. Boaters will have direct access to open waters for fishing, boating or beaching at local beaches or at “Sandy Point”, a small island which is also a nature preserve. The boat dock is suitable for a boat up to 26 feet. There is fresh water and electricity at the dock. Our home sleeps ten guests with four bedrooms and two full baths. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds, one with a pair of twin beds and a pull out couch in the living room. There is a laundry room and pantry for your convenience. It is an open concept home with water views from most rooms, a large deck for relaxing and barbecuing and a large yard to entertain and enjoy friends and family in a safe and secluded neighborhood. While it is in an ideal location for entertaining, this is not a party house. The home's location allows renters to enjoy a natural setting with wildlife and the river with views to Weekapaug and Watch Hill. It is close to historic Stonington Borough, Mystic with it's Seaport and Aquarium, Napatree and Misquamicut Beaches and Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos and local wineries. The house is a short drive to Rhode Island where numerous beaches and RI activities abound. The house location and area provides many enjoyable and scenic areas for hiking or bike riding.

House is located in the secluded area inside the nature reserve with dock access to the sea water. Enjoy sea breeze and fun fishing at the dock. Well maintained yard and surroundings. Nearby nature trail and beach make the summer vacation fulfilling.

Jim and Kathleen’s place in Stonington is a real gem. The property is secluded and very large, with a dock right out into the river/bay. The house is clean and very homey. This is also an excellent fishing area. We caught a ton of striped bass on a boat we rented at the Stonington marina and docked right at the house all weekend. Will definitely rent from them again!

This house served our needs beautifully for 10 people. The party included my husband and me, our two children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren. The central living and dining area was our meeting spot, with the kitchen happily tucked around the corner, but within earshot of the living area, so the cook could be part of the conversation too. The house is spotless, with plenty of bathroom supplies, extra blankets in the bedrooms, and a well stocked kitchen with everything one could need to prepare meals. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of space for the kids to run and play.
As events would have it, our daughter in law, broke her ankle a few days prior, and in conversation with the owners, discovered that the house is handicap accessible, which was a fortunate stroke of luck for our situation. The owners were delightful to work with, responsive and flexible to our needs and we were delighted with our stay.

This lovely home was set on a beautiful and secluded property looking out to the ocean/inlet with a private dock for boating. Well kept Kayaks and a canoe were provided but we did not use because it was Nov. it felt more like a home than a rental. Everything was spotless and neat. There is an spacious and open floor plan and plenty of light but it still felt cozy. There were also beautiful outdoor areas for lounging. The kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of places to drive to and explore for a long walk. I would book again without hesitation.

Jim and Kathleen's home is beautiful, clean and very well cared for. This was by far the most stocked I've seen a rental. All the cooking gear you could possibly need along with essential spices and oils. They even have plenty of coffee in case you forget some. We had plenty of linens, hand soaps, dish cleaning supplies and many other comforts of home. We were there for a fishing trip and access to the dock was key. The dock itself is in excellent shape and even had power and fresh water. Jim was very helpful in making sure we gained safe access to the dock through the shallow waters in the creek. Check in was a breeze. We'll be back for sure.

This house is exquisite, perched high almost in the trees. The water is a nice walk from the house through the trees. The dock is great for kayaking or canoeing (not as much for swimming). The house has beautiful outdoor eating areas. We really enjoyed our stay!

Spacious, clean and comfortable home, delightful location, away from the crowds, but accessible to wonderful nearby beaches with a boat, which we rented and tied up to the convenient dock at end of yard. Hosts Jim and Kathleen are easy to get in touch with and reply promptly. Wonderful week in every respect.

Jagalust Landing is the perfect spot to reconnect with family and friends. So peaceful! The property is clean and convenient to explore Mystic and Newport areas. Great deck and enjoyed water access with kayaks! Owners thought of everything. to make the vacation just perfect.

Family Getaway
James and Kathleen's house was the perfect getaway location for us. We were a multi-generational group of 8 adults and found it to be comfortable and secluded, yet convenient to local amenities and beaches. The property is beautiful and peaceful, with some water views and a private dock. In the morning, we enjoyed sitting on the deck listening to the birds and watching deer feed down closer to the water. The home is very clean, and you will find many nice touches that I have not seen in other houses we have rented, such as a welcome basket of snacks, teas, coffees, etc.; a kitchen well-stocked with spices, pantry items, cookware, and dinnerware; comfortable beds; luxurious bath linens; and an array of games and movies for rainy days. The house is on one floor with a comfortable open concept living/dining area that is surrounded with picture windows which bring in light and enable you to experience the beautiful grounds while indoors. The owners are extremely responsive to inquiries and very clear in their directions for arrival and check out. Overall a wonderful experience.

I echo many of the previous reviews: incredibly clean; best stocked kitchen/home; pictures don’t due it justice; great layout of the home; kind and communicative hosts etc. But , I also want to add that this home strikes the perfect balance in so many ways! It is welcoming and inviting with lovely furnishings and decor, but is not cluttered or overdone. Indoors and outside are equally inviting. We enjoyed the indoors and the graduate et al made good use of the kayaks and canoe with trailers, life jackets and paddles all provided. The outdoors included a yard, deck with seating and flower pots, back yard and area by the dock. We loved it all! Although we usually watch TV early am and in the evening, it did not get turned on once since the home was conducive to other activities such as laughter, conversations and games (many board games and toys tucked away through out the house). WiFi worked great too. I would happily move into Jagalust Landing for an extended period and hope to have a reason to return in the future!

The 6 of us had a very relaxing long weekend, found the owners extremely accommodating, the house better than pictures, stocked with everything. We were fortunate to have decent weather & enjoyed the deck, including sighting a family of 5 deer a few times. The only issue for us was not having basic sports channels on tv for Celtics & Red Sox but we survived! Would definitely recommend & stay again. Thank you so much for sharing
