Far Cry is a 1935 newly renovated 1 bedroom cottage nestled in the foothills of Colorado Springs. It is conveniently located steps from Stratton Open Space with numerous trails for hiking and biking, minutes from Seven Falls, North Cheyenne Canon, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the famed 5 star Broadmoor Hotel. Create your own meals in a fully equipped kitchen or grill your favorite dinner on the deck overlooking the city. We supply a selection of coffee and teas for your enjoyment. Your dishes, flatware, and glasses are all provided. Luxury bedding makes the cozy bedroom, with a queen size bed, a delightful escape. Your bathroom will provide a tub/shower combo, heated tile floors, a washer/dryer combo and luxury amenities. The living room is sunny and bright, with 7 large windows, mountain and city views, A gas fireplace provides a delightful bit of evening heat. The living room opens on to a sunny deck for your morning coffee and a grill if you desire an evening meal at home. TV and Free WiFi are available and if you listen carefully your may hear the quarter hour chimes and an occasional song from Will Rogers Shrine on Cheyenne Mountain. We had a wonderful time staying at Bet's beautiful cottage. It is in a lovely location less than a mile's walk from the Broadmoor Hotel, where I was attending a conference. Several days I was able to walk down in the morning and enjoy nature before sitting inside all day. The home is warm, comfortable, beautifully decorated, non cluttered yet has everything you need including a full kitchen and comfortable bedding. The bathroom was clean and spacious with a lovely tub/shower and heated tile floor. The original charm of the cottage remains, but there are modern conveniences that make it extremely warm and inviting. We hope to be back. Bet was gracious and a good communicator. I highly recommend this place if you are staying in the Springs.

My second visit to the Far Cry Cottage was as enjoyable as the first. I had forgotten how bucolic the entire experience is, with the pin-drop quiet location and lovely mountain scenery. If you're looking for a peaceful, cozy, and all-around well-managed property in Colorado Springs, look no further. Hope to return again.

I loved staying in this cottage! It was so cute and cozy. Clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were very responsive and gave me all the info I needed ahead of time. Great location - super close to North Cheyenne Canyon Park, Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Pike's Peak and a ton of great hiking trails. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

We felt instantly at home. It was the perfect size for us and the perfect location. Of course the visiting dear added to the whole experience. Elizabeth is a wonderful host. She left us a nice gift card to enjoy at a local café, which was excellent! Communication was easy, and Elizabeth was very accommodating. We are very much looking forward to going back!

This is really a great place! Very comfortable, private, great view, close to excellent hiking trails, and walking distance to The Broadmore Hotel; a lovely hangout for coffee in the morning to look at all its wonderful Western art collection. We quite enjoyed our stay over the holidays. The location was perfect for us and the cabin was cozy, warm, and comfortable even during unusually cold weather for the area. The area is extremely quiet and the view out over the deck is terrific. We hope to be able to stay again in the future when visiting family in Colorado Springs.

I stayed at Bet's lovely cottage for a week while in the area for business. As many other reviewers have noted, it's a delightful home - filled with everything that you'd need for a comfortable stay. My absolute favorite part though was the lighting. The sun shines through both in the morning and in the afternoon, filling the living area with warmth. And the location of the cottage is wonderful, in a very quiet, secluded, and hilly area. Would highly recommend.

The cottage was delightful! It was very clean, had everything we needed, great location to get anywhere, set in a cozy and quiet neighborhood. We spent time sitting on the back deck enjoying some serene early mornings and evenings, and it was lovely. The host/owner was very responsive for any questions we had and terrific.
