Clean, charming homestay with helpful local family; delightful experience.

The beautiful homestay was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The room was perfect for us. The location in a small street on the island gives the island vibe we were hoping for - but still, it is easily accessible with a TukTuk. Using their free bikes you can explore the island or try local restaurants. The heart of this place is the lovely local family running this place. With joy they helped us planning our stay - organising tours, providing free bicycles and helping us with the train for our next destination. The included local breakfast with delicious Apem is very tasty and we looked forward to it. If needed, you can also get lunch and dinner on your terrace!

Fantastic, peaceful and welcoming homestay

The stay at Munroe Meadows was fantastic! The location is really good (walking distance to the river, lake, canals and it's very green and peaceful), the room and bathroom are huge, very clean and the bed is comfortable and the food was absolutely delicious. There's enough space to relax on the porch or in the hammocks. Moreover, the hosts Anjana and Ajith were super kind and helpful, always there to give advice and answer any questions. They organised a sunrise boating trip and an auto to the train station for me and I could use their bicycle to explore the island. Ajith also took me to a sunset point in the evening. Munroe Island can be easily reached by train and is extremely beautiful. I can recommend this homestay to anyone who wants to experience Kerala away from the hustle and bustle. Thank you for the hospitality!

Heart fueled stay!

This place is so wonderful. I loved everything! The room, the garden, the island vibe. And Anjana & Ajith are the nicest people, very big heart and helpful in everything. She cooks amazing homely food. Also did a beautiful sunrise boating with her dad. Highly recommended this place, I’ll definitely come back!

Perfect stay in Munroe Meadows!

The homestay was perfect : very beautiful, clean and spaceful! Anjana is a very good cooker and his breakfast/dinner was delicious! It's a very good place if you like peaceful and a friendly welcome. Thanks for all Anjana and Ajith, all was perfect during our stay! We don't forgot you and your hospitality!

Exceptional

We had an incredible 3 days at Munroe Meadows! The tenants were lovely, the food was great, they organize an awesome boat tour and the room were exactly as expected. I definitly recommend it if you are looking for an accomodation on Munroe island

Don't think just book❤❤

Munroemeadows is a homestay owned by a couple Anjana and Ajith. They both make sure every time the guests are comfortable. Anjana provide very tasty and delicious food cooked by herselves. The prawns were very tasty. The rooms were very big size and was very clean. The bathrooms were also big and clean. They provide free bicycles to explore the island. And also the cannoeing trip in the morning was very beautiful and relaxing. Also we gone to a beautiful sunset point and was soo beautiful. Munroe island and Munroemeadows and Ajith and Anjana will be in our memory forever. We will come back soon.

Hidden gem in Munroe Island.

What a great place to stay at in Munroe Island! The hosts, Anjana and Ajith, are lovely and go above beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and enjoying their stay (homemade food, bicycles, backwaters cruise arranged). The rooms are nice and clean (extra point for the cushy mattress!) and location is easy to reach by rickshaw.

Beautiful stay at Munroe Meadows

Very nice host who arranged a canoe activity, very good meals served for dinner and breakfast, the place is beautiful and peaceful, the room is big and clean, I highly recommend the place !

Exceptional

This was such a beautiful property as our home. We loved the hospitality of our hosts, Ajith and Anjana. Provided us a perfect home-cooked food. Especially prawn fry and kari meen they cooked was Perfecto! Special mention to our Canoeing host Mr.Ashokan father of Anjana for his sweetness through those 2.5 hours of rounding the backwaters.

Exceptional

I'll start with talking about Munroe Island. This place is a paradise tucked in between the brackish canals of Ashtamudi Lake. Staying at Munroe Meadows gives you an experience of a proper village life. Ajith and Anchana are wonderful hosts and they go out of their way with their hospitality. Rooms are big and clean, Anchana prepares tasty meals which are nominally priced and wifi connection is fast and uninterrupted. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway to work remotely or just relax, Munroe Meadows is one of the best options.

Excellent stay would recommend to everyone

Great food. Great location very peaceful. Great hosts very polite and will help explore area around including boating / canoeing. Also have cycles available for rent.
