Located in Poipu, this attractive house for $520 per night is a great option for your next trip. If Kauai has reinstalled the 10-to14-day Quarantine requirement for your dates, we will fully refund your costs, even though our regular cancellation policy is more strict. A quarantine is not a vacation! Just steps from Poipu Beach and Brennecke’s Beach, this is an original plantation-style cottage, lovingly renovated and beautifully appointed. It features a new fully-equipped kitchen with granite counters, new bath plus an outdoor shower, two bedrooms, screened lanai, and landscaped garden. Its high ceilings, giant airy windows, island furnishings and tropical ceiling fans in each room give you the feeling of 'paradise of old.' The home is in a charming beachfront neighborhood on a quiet street. Stroll to Brennecke’s Beach, famous for its perfect boogie boarding waves, or Poipu Beach, which, with calmer water and beautiful snorkeling, is always rated one of the top ten Hawaii beaches. Everything Poipu has to offer is a beautiful walk away on either the Koloa Heritage Trial or the Poipu Kai Greenbelt. This is includes restaurants, shopping, adventure outfitters, tennis courts, pickle courts, playground, and, of course, those beautiful beaches. Two great golf courses are just a mile’s drive. A PERFECT POIPU DAY Awake to the sounds of palm fronds and waves, and enjoy coffee on the screened lanai. Grab your snorkel and walk to Poipu Beach to enjoy the morning fish in the warm calm waters. This was our 4th trip to Kauai and this one was long overdue. We fly from the east coast on the mainland and typically enjoy staying Kilauea where it's quiet and off the beaten path. We decided to start out closer this time (first 4 nights of our stay) to the airport due to the long flight. This cottage ended up being just about perfect. Love the layout, big well equipped kitchen (we like to cook), screened in lanai and excellent proximity to many things we enjoy doing on the island. All amenities very good and the bedrooms/beds comfy and cozy. We really enjoyed being able to walk to Poipu beach in 2 mins as the cottage is very close to a lot of the action there, but when spending time in the cottage was nice and quiet. Property is very beautiful. In the past we've never stayed in a place that had AC, but were thankful it had bedroom units as the cottage really warms up during the day. By mid-day it was quite warm, so turning on the unit in the bedroom a few hours before bedtime made it very comfortable to sleep. They're a bit noisy but, oh well. Overall we loved this place and when we return in the future would strongly consider renting it again.

This house was exactly what we expected. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed. We also liked the items it had such as beach towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was nice as it allowed us to sleep comfortably at night. The location of the house was perfect, it was a very short walk to the beach and just a short drive to Koloa which has many shops and restaurants. This house was the perfect place for our vacation and we hope to stay here again when we return to Kauai.

The VRBO description is accurate. Quiet street 100 yards from the beach. Well appointed kitchen for making meals at home. A/C in bedrooms is great as it gets hot in the afternoon. Has all the stuff you need for the beach and an outside shower. Would come back

We had an AMAZING time staying here. We felt like we were staying in our own home and not a rental property. The house and furnishings are comfortable and clean, the kitchen is completely stocked and updated, and it's equipped with everything you could possibly need. The ceiling fans keep the house comfortable even when the temperature is high, there is air conditioning in both bedrooms and a ceiling fan in the lanai making it comfortable to use at any time of day. The location to the beach is out of this world, literally steps from Brennecke and Poipu. The four Tommy Bahama beach chairs were in great condition. There were coolers, beach bags, a sun umbrella and tons of beach towels. Full washer and dryer were nice to have and there were so many places to sit and relax from the living room, lanai, patio, back yard, and front porch. There is a private outdoor shower equipped with a foot wash spigot, shower and all with hot water so you are very comfortable as you rinse off before coming back into the house. Pam has truly done a great job of creating a warm, home-like environment that you want to come back to.

Just got home yesterday from an incredible 4 week stay at the Poipu Yellow Cottage after two years of planning! We were so very blessed to stay here! First, communication with owner Pam has been excellent! She is very helpful and gracious and gives prompt replies! The cottage itself is beautiful, very comfortable, and has everything you need. There is a grocery store, Big Save Market, just a short distance away in Koloa. But for major grocery shopping go to Safeway in Lihue. This comfortable cottage is only a few minutes walk to gorgeous Poipu Beach, as well as Brennecke Beach, and is a great location for the rest of the island. Take a couple mile walk to Shipwreck beach in the morning and enjoy magnificent sunsets at Poipu Beach in the evening! Swim and snorkel in the safe Poipu Beach bay. Very family friendly. Daily saw Green Sea Turtles and endangered Monk Seals on the beach. Saw Hump Whales breaching and spouting. Neighbors -- both vacationers but especially those who live there -- were very nice. We ate all our meals at the small table in the attached screened lanai just off the dining room. So enjoyable to sit there and is quite private. Enclosed shower in bathroom was large. Each bedroom has an air conditioner and the one we stayed in had a cozy king-sized bed and closet. Every room of the house except the bathroom has an overhead fan to keep air circulating. If we ever return to beautiful Kauai, this is where we would hope to stay! Thank you, Pam!

Images and description do not do this fabulous cottage justice. The kitchen is fully equipped and we 3 friends cooked almost each evening. The cottage is well sized and organized, separate washing/drying room, outdoor shower with beach gear provided. A cute patio, spacious dining & living room and well sized double bedrooms and bathroom. The house and garden were extremely clean. Located within a few minutes walk to a beach where turtles rest for the evening and seals take their naps. A restaurant/bar/deli place is also only a few minutes walk away which serves good food. We highly recommend this cottage and all 3 of us would stay there again.

This historic cottage is a wonderful place to stay because it is very private and quiet. The dead end street minimizes car traffic and car noise. It also provides a 2 minute walk to the beach. The cottage also provides lots of room to live. A great kitchen and a screened in porch for additional space and privacy. We will return again!

As described..one block off of Brennecke's beach. Quiet neighborhood even though there were more rentals on the block. AC in bedroom, completely screened lanai but you will have a few bugs at least in the lanai as the door is not a snug fit but it does keep the skeeters out. Washer/dryer bonus...the host is nice enough to provide Kirkland brand products we brought our own as we do not like the Kirkland scent. Good stay.

We just returned from our stay in Kauai and we will be dreaming of our time there for years to come! This property was the perfect place for us to stay for us and our one year old daughter. The property was beautifully decorated and had everything you needed including beach toys and a beach wagon! Plenty of items to cook with as well! Additionally both the owner and property manager were very responsive. We experienced rather warm days while there and the AC units in the bedrooms worked just fine to keep the place cool. It's truly a half block from Poipu Beach which is especially a perfect spot for small kiddos due to the protected cove that makes the water calmer and it's rather shallow. Brenecke Beach is just as close and has bigger waves and is deeper. I cannot rave about this VRBO rental enough! It will only enhance your stay in Kauai!

I stayed here with a friend for a destination wedding that was happening down the street and the location was perfect! It is less than a five minute walk to the ocean and beaches where you can watch all the sea turtles come ashore or boogie board/snorkel alongside them. The outdoor shower and screened in porch were my favorite features about the house besides the location and ease of parking two cars behind the house. Even though neighbors are nearby it was a really peaceful and private location. The bedrooms are the only part of the house that have a/c units and provided excellent conditions for sleeping with white noise to drown out the rooster calls. The rest of the house could be cooled fairly quickly, by opening the windows/ doors (screened in) and making sure the many ceiling fans were running, allowing a nice breeze to go through the house. There is only one toilet, so keep that in mind when considering your group size/needs.
The kitchen had pretty much anything you can think of needing to use to prepare a meal at the house. And there are at least two restaurants within a five to ten minute walk from the house. I also appreciated all the lighting options, with dimmer switches in most of the rooms.
The property owner/manager was really communicative, and I appreciated them having a feedback form available to continue improving the experience at their home. I also made use of the yoga mat and hair dryer that was provided. I will definitely stay here again if my travels bring me back this way! Thank you!

It has plenty of room where the 4 of us enjoyed the screened lanai at breakfast, the outdoor BBQ area at dinner, the front room for playing guitar & talking, the front porch for morning coffee.. The decor is beautiful & in great condition, bedrooms have air conditioners & ceiling fans if needed & the outdoor shower is fun & refreshing!
Perfect location to beautiful beaches just a few steps away, places to explore & beach restaurant was a lot of fun too.

This property is well appointed, very comfortable and quiet. The location is superb. In less than a 10-minute walk you are on the beach where the sea turtles come up to rest at sunset and return to sea at dawn. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend it to couples and small families.

What a charming and perfect Plantation cottage only 3 houses away from Poipu Beach! Hubby and I had such a great time. The location is perfect, the house is immaculate, clean and well equipped with everything you need, including all beach equipment with a wagon! I could go on and on but the best thing I can say is that we are already booked for next September here!

We absolutely loved this house, it is so cute and clean and a very short walk to the beach! Everything was so convenient! We did not want to leave and will for sure be staying at this house again! Love love love. The bedrooms were so comfortable with the ac units and fans. We couldn't hear any outside noise and were nice nice and comfortable. It was a perfect place for my husband and I and our two kids.
