Located in Sierra Nevada, this attractive house for $165 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Nora's Yosemite retreat is the perfect vacation spot for enjoying your special visit to one of the greatest parks in the world, Yosemite. Nora's Yosemite retreat is one of two rental's on the property. Long term renter in studio apartment down stairs. Separate entrance and parking. Nestled in the Sierra National Forest, you can choose from two of Yosemite's most popular entrances. Your retreat is surrounded by large pine and oak trees, some over 50 years old. Our comfortable rustic great room features a classic wood burning stove, comfortable seating, and an open floor plan to the dining area and kitchen. Despite the rustic charm, you can stay totally up-to-date with Wi-Fi, Or, curl up in front of the fire with a good book or a game with family and friends while dinner is cooking. Enjoy the game or race with our satellite flat screen TV, or enjoy our extensive DVD collection for a fun movie night. The dining table seats six between the kitchen and living area. And, the newly-remodeled kitchen features a gas range and everything you need to create a lovely vacation meal, including dish washer for easy clean up. Our full size washer and dryer is in a separate room just off the kitchen and easily accessible. Adjoining the great room there is a large bedroom with a queen size bed and a full bath. In the living room is a queen size sofa sleeper. Half bath available. Our great room has two sliding glass doors, one opening up to your outdoor deck with bar-b-q and one that opens to your private all weather enclosed deck with table and chairs for dining, enjoying a glass of wine, playing games or planning your next Yosemite adventure. My husband and I spent 4 nights here as a base for visiting Yosemite. We really enjoyed this cabin in a secluded peaceful setting. It is a bit of a drive outside Mariposa so we took the advice of stopping for groceries in town before our arrival. The space and bed are very comfortable. We really appreciated the large kitchen as we prepared most of our meals here. Took advantage of the nice cooler on hand when we packed lunches and water for the days spent in Yosemite. It is a bit of a drive to Yosemite but a beautiful drive and we didn't mind. We just got up a little earlier to head out since that was our main objective. Felt that this cabin was very affordable and well worth it. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed the cabin. We found it to be cozy and enjoyed the screened in patio dining. The kitchen was very well stocked making it easy to prepare meals at home. In addition our toddler loved exploring the backyard.

The cabin was even better than we expected! We said “wow” as we entered it. Beautiful, tranquil location and full of charm. Plenty of comfy bedding and extra beds. The enclosed patio was my favorite spot. The nice full sized kitchen was perfect for our needs. The hosts were very kind and generous, and we felt blessed to be staying here. We highly recommend Nora’s Yosemite Retreat!

Great cabin with everything you need for your stay! Very comfortable, lots of room with good wifi and lots of family games, movies, etc. The only drawback is that it takes one hour to get to Yosemite NP. But, it is well worth the drive!

I was traveling with my mom and aunt as a small family vacation. For the three of us this was a perfect place to stay and relax after spending all day in Yosemite. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Nora was great with communicating and also providing some helpful tips.

We enjoyed our stay at Nora’s Yosemite retreat immensely. The cabin is well stocked with amenities, pillows, blankets, necessities and movies! We came to spend time at the park but we’re unable to due to crowds and insufficient parking, so having this cabin was a nice treat. We were close to Yosemite’s south entrance, Bass Lake and Oakhurst. We also discovered a charming little coffee roaster down the road as well. Definitely recommend this cabin no matter what your plans are or become.

This was an awesome place to stay. We felt like we were staying at a family member’s house. Host was great! It is very remote though, no cell signal, but has wifi. Takes about an hour to get to Yosemite, lots of winding roads, but the drive is very scenic. We would definitely stay here again if we are every back at Yosemite

We had a fantastic time! We really enjoyed the little touches that Nora had throughout the property. Although we didn't spend as much time there as we would have liked to (too much time exploring the Park!) we really enjoyed the deck where you can sit and enjoy the sun as well as hummingbirds and squirrels. We had been concerned about the WIFI coming into the trip because we both had some work to do, but it held up fine for all of our needs! We would highly recommend! :-)

We could tell from the photos that this place was great, but the little extra touches made it even more special!
Complimentary coffee beans (delicious) with a grinder and filters as well, popcorn that we never had a chance to make, a lovely deck and screened in porch with a well populated hummingbird feeder for entertainment, bandaid and first aid supplies in rhe cabinet should we need them; we could go on and on!
A perfect cabin in the woods for out trip to yosemite! Cannot recommend highly enough!

This place was absolutely perfect for my husband and I. This was by far the best equipped VRBO we have stayed at. The owners were excellent communicators and helped make our stay great. I also don't think I have ever stayed at a place that was this clean. The only downside is that the shower head was a little short, but this is not a reason to not book here.

Cottage in the Woods
Spent 2 nights at Nora’s cottage and it was the perfect landing spot to explore Yosemite. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It was warm at night so our daughter slept on the cot in the bedroom where we had the portable AC unit but there was plenty of room. Loved the owl collection and sitting on the porch watching the hummingbirds! Would definitely recommend this house to anyone needing a quiet place within reach of yosemite.

Yosemite Proximity!
My girlfriend & I stayed here for two nights so we could explore Yosemite Valley. It was less than a 50 min drive to into the park at Arch Entrance on hwy 140. This worked out really well for us as we got to enjoy the drive up and down the park and see as much as we could during our short stay. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed. Be advised we had little to no cell service in the area so make sure you read the directions and take a map with you so you don’t only have to rely on GPS. The cabin does have wifi so no issues there. Great hosts!!

Nice secluded area
Should be aware that the location is a further 20 or so minutes away from town, and after spending the day on a long hike in Yosemite, that extra drive can be tiring. That being said, we were wonderfully surprised to see the location and loved its secluded location. The outdoor screened patio is a great spot to relax and eat a meal. Thank you for letting us stay! It was lovely to relax there.

Nora stocks the cabin with everything you need to prepare an easy dinner. The deck with Hummingbird visitors in the morning or deer in the early evening is perfect for lounging. Great hikes outside Yosemite within 45 min drive. We ended up fixing dinner at the Cabin to avoid a roundtrip drive in the evening. Loved the woods and all the sounds that come with a forest. Can highly recommend this retreat for an urban getaway.

We were looking for a spot within an hour of Yosemite and found this reTREAT in the trees. And I emphasize treat because it was so wonderful, cozy, homey and quiet. Nora was a great host who gave us so much information about the surrounding communities and the parks there was no reason to Google. We had two relaxing nights and should we come back this way on our travels, we would love to stay again.
