We got so surprised about location- it was so much better then the photos. you had an amazing jungle just in front of your apartment. Vi also got upgraded to the luxury room because the owners noticed I was pregnant. So kind!!!! The breakfast was great we had a yummy omelet, fresh fruit, a smoothie and coffee. Didnt want to leave. We will for sure recommend this place to all our friends.

I love it, so beautiful and comfortable place to stay.Waking up to jungle view with sound of birds. Ayu and her hubby were so amazing with service, they take care of us and our queries,helped us also with transports and trips. Breakfast in the balcony in your room and then get a swim was fantastic combination. Clean ,bright, well served

Fijn zwembad, erg vriendelijk en enorm behulpzaam personeel, maakte elke dag goed schoon.

We hadden ontzettend veel last van mieren, vooral in het keukentje (waar we eten moesten bereiden voor onze 1-jarige baby). Het keukentje was daarnaast ook een beetje oud/smoezelig. De locatie is iets verder weg van Ubud, wat opzich oke is, behalve dat de accommodatie alleen bereikt kan worden door een lange trap (niet handig als je een buggy hebt of slecht ter been bent).

очень красивые номера, большие, кровать с балдахином, огромная стильная ванная комната. у нас была вилла с видом на джунгли , просто восхитительно. очень приветливый персонал, готовый решить любые вопросы. из пожеланий, лично мы бы хотели бассейн чуточку потеплее. но это на любителя;)

Beautiful property with an amazing pool and jungle view. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. The breakfast was perfect and the quietness of the property was so relaxing.

Het personeel was erg aardig. Omelet was lekker bij het ontbijt. Ook lekkere watermeloensap.

Het was niet zo mooi als op de foto’s op Booking.com voorgesteld werd. Wij dachten heel mooie kamers/huisjes te hebben met idyllisch jungle view uitzicht. Maar er stonden een paar huisjes nog voor. Zwembad was superkoud en niet uitnodigend. Te weinig kastruimte en te weinig planken of tafeltjes om spullen op te zetten, ook in de badkamer geen ruimte om je spulletjes neer te zetten. Keukentje oud en krakkemikkig.

Er waren meerdere keuzes voor het ontbijt. Deze waren prima.

The bungalow was extremely beautiful, nicely decorated and tidy. The breakfast was delicious and there was a wide choice of dishes and juices. We also got a floating breakfast one day (additionally paid 100k rupees) which was served perfectly. The staff was really nice and helpful, we also rent a motorbike which was very modern and comfortable. The relation price-quality was fair.

Ayu Duwur Beji was a superb first experience of staying in Ubud. From the jungle backdrop and the quaint, spacious living to the wonderful hosts and their constant willingness to help in any given situation (such as scooter hire + activity booking at great prices), I highly recommend this location if you're seeking a subtle yet comfortable stay that's perfectly situated an even distance between Ubud Town Centre and the Rice Terrace.

Sadly the only issue we faced was the coming-and-going of water to our room. It was a roll of the dice on whether the sink tap, toilet, or shower would work.

The room was big big and very clean. The views from the balcony were beautiful and they serve breakfast there, wich was very good. The staff was very kind and help us on everything we asked, even renting a motorbike.

I like the general location of this hotel, in a nice quiet village. It’s a fair hike down to Ubud, but you can take the path through the rice fields that starts across from The Pengkolan Warung (the path and the warung are both lovely). The room was kind of run-down but it was clean.

Firstly, I found this place to be very overrated and overpriced, to be honest, I’m sorry to say. I cannot believe that it’s a called a 3-star hotel. I’ve added photos of this place so you can see what the official photos don’t show: the broken and/or poorly kept aspects of the room and grounds, the run-down building just next door, the many, many steep steps up to the road, etc. All of this would have been fine with me if this had been represented and priced honestly, but... The other important thing to be aware of is that if you have any issues at all during your stay, you’ll be treated like an adversary. This happened to me twice during my short stay, and I was extremely uncomfortable – I was very eager to leave. First, when my laptop couldn’t access the internet via their (unsecure) wifi (but could on my phone’s hotspot), I asked them if they could reset the modem. Wayan was bizarrely combative about this simple thing – he kept repeating his internet is excellent and I obviously needed to go get my laptop repaired, etc. He seemed angry. In addition, Wayan took *great* personal offense to the fact that I still take some Covid precautions. Just before I went to bed, I started getting a string of nasty messages from him via his wife, Ayu, on WhatsApp. They said that I was engaging in “defamation of Bali” by not believing that Covid is 100% gone from the planet, and that they were very offended. They sounded very angry and vaguely threatening, with language like “we might snap at you,” and saying that they would not help me to take my luggage up the (very many, very steep) stairs when I left in the morning. I honestly felt pretty afraid, and extremely unwelcome. I have traveled a lot, but never experienced anything remotely like this anywhere else. Even if we were to assume that my laptop was at fault and my Covid precautions were unreasonable, it’s still astonishing how adversarial Wayan quickly became over such small things. I cannot recommend this place.

The place is fabulous and nestled 10 min scooter from Ubud. The peace of the area and the gentle kind locals makes your stays unforgettable. Wayan and Ayu with the staff went above and beyond any expectations organising our stay at best.
