Situated in Sonoma, this charming house for $1,100 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Welcome to The Fir & The Fig! We are set on a private road 2 miles east of the Sonoma plaza and walking distance or a short bike ride to some of California's oldest and best wineries. Our location is in the heart of the wine country and only 40 miles from the Golden Gate Bridge. We're on Sonoma's coveted east side so Napa is easily accessible in 15 minutes drive. You can start your day with a drive to Napa or just enjoy the laid back historic wineries all around you in Sonoma. We are uniquely positioned with wineries all around on old country roads so minimal traffic. This offers a unique opportunity to tour the area by foot or on bikes. There is a great article on our direct website along with a map with more details. Our favorite mode of transportation is cruising the bikes to a couple wineries en rout to the famous Sonoma plaza which offers an abundance of tasting rooms, 5 star restaurants and great markets. The plaza also hosts many great festivals throughout the summer and fall so you never know what you might roll up on. Now that you know what's around us let's talk about the great property you would be enjoying when you're not out and about. We just finished major renovation in 2013 so everything including the beds are brand new. We have a large hot tub just off the back deck that overlooks our brand new in-ground swimming pool. The pool features an auto-cover and solar heat which keeps it very comfortable for at least 6-7 months of the year. We can monitor the heat remotely, and if needed, we can use our gas heater to get it to your desired temperature in the off-season. There will be an additional charge if gas heat is desired. We have just completed our new bocce court and installed new landscaping for 2016. We were able to enjoy the new year with room for everyone and lots of activities. The pool and hot tub were a treat for the entire family. The kitchen and dining room were a fun place to gather at meals. The beds were all comfortable and the best part was enough space for a large group. Thank you so much! It was so clean and easy to spend time here.

We rented this as a retreat for our ladies group celebrating their 50th birthdays. It was PERFECT!!!! The house was stocked with accommodations we needed, and it felt like a home away from home! Everything was beautiful and clean, and the space allowed for people to spread out and retreat away from the group once they have had enough “peopling”! I would HIGHLY recommend this home for families and groups wanting a quiet Napa experience!

Our stay was amazing. It was the perfect size for 10 people. No one stayed in the little pool house with the Murphy bed but it was nice to have that extra bathroom.
Everything was clean, the owners communicated very well and were very nice!

The property was lovely. It was as advertised. It was quite expansive and offered lots of amenities with a pool, hot tub and game room. The grounds were beautiful. The house is close to the Sonoma Plaza, which is great for shopping, restaurants, etc. Chris was an awesome host—very responsive and kind!

We absolutely loved the accommodations - the cleanliness, the amenities, the serenity of the surroundings. Everything worked so well for all of us. We have been gathering for 23 years in a row, and this place surpassed any previous locations... It met all our needs and more.

We loved the house, especially the warm pool, hot tub, the game room, very well stocked kitchen with spices and condiments. Being coffee lovers, we appreciated the coffee pot and large mugs!! The grounds around the house were beautiful, with lots of spaces to relax and talk. We have very few negatives to report. There was a room that we expected to have 2 beds but only uas one in the cottage. In spite of the noise requirements, there was a noisy rooster very early in the morning who obviously didn’t know the rules. Overall, we highly recommend this house.

Wonderful place very close to downtown Sonoma yet very private and peaceful. Having multiple structures with bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect for our extended family. The pool was a wonderful respite in the heat and the entire backyard was very well suited for enjoying the outdoors.

We celebrated a milestone birthday with four couples, one teen, and three children over five days. There was plenty of room, beds were comfortable. We especially enjoyed the separate game room, where we were able to gather after the 5 year old went to bed in the main house. Kids loved the pool.

We were thrilled with this property! We had 10 adults, an infant and a 21 month old with plenty of room for everyone. We used everything: pool, hot tub, game room and bocce ball...everything was clean and in excellent condition. Chris was quick to respond to questions and extremely helpful with suggestions for local highlights. We rented bicycles from Sonoma Adventures and were able to bike in the area. Perfect vacation! This property was perfect for our large group! There was plenty of space and beautiful outdoor areas to spend time in! We spend the majority of our stay in the hot tub and game room. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked for cooking. Could not have had a better venue for our vacation!

We had 12 adults stay at the Fig & Fur and we all fit comfortably. The complex is incredible (the beautiful weather helped), lots of fun games, an incredible pool & hot tub area, and a large table for family dining. I can't emphasize enough how much fun we had and the property had a lot to do with it - instead of going to wineries one day, we just stayed at the complex and enjoyed all that it had to offer, which was an amazing day. If you have a group of 8-12 adults and are looking for a fun place to stay, this is it!

We had a group of College girlfriends and spouses get together in Sonoma for several days to celebrate our 40th birthdays. The house was perfect for what we needed. We got lucky and had amazing weather, so we truly enjoyed the outdoor spaces in the late afternoons after wine tastings. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and we made several meals while we were there. We really enjoyed the game room for evening hanging out as well. It was too cold for the pool, but the hot tub was great. The beds were super comfy, and the location to downtown Sonoma was prime.
Chris was very communicative and had great tips for local hikes and places to walk near the house. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the house for big groups. Tons of space and just a lovely property.

We had 6 girls for a wine trip. A lot of space. Loved it Only had to call owner once. But he was very helpful!

We could not ask for anything more than the Fig & Fir! The owners were extremely responsive and have thought of everything! We had 7 adults and 3 children for a week stay through Thanksgiving. We all had plenty of space between the main, back and pool house. The kids and adults alike enjoyed many hours of fun in the game room, playing bocce and horseshoes all on the property. In the evenings, we relaxed in the hot tub! The kitchen was fully stocked with any appliances you could want! We prepared and served a full Thanksgiving Feast! We were just a couple mile drive into Sonoma Square and to several wineries. We will definitely be back again!

We had a large group staying for a week and found that the property had plenty of space for all of us. Our group included two small children and nine adults. There were enough bedrooms for all and the separate houses allowed for some space when needed. The main house is well appointed, including everything you need in the kitchen. Appliances are in excellent shape and the dishwasher did a great job running loads at least daily. It’s nice to have a kitchen table that fits everyone, too. We had multiple people in the kitchen and didn’t feel cramped. Living area fit most of us and kids enjoyed the toys. Bedrooms were comfortable, if a bit small for the Queen beds. But each bedroom had a nice size closet to put away clothes and not feel like you were looking at suitcase piles. Ample parking. Game room is not air conditioned but opening both doors gave it great air flow. Pool is excellent and we found the solar heat to be sufficient. Pool house is comfortable as well and space for a pack n play. Owner was friendly and responsive but we had no real issues with the property. AC in main house kept up with the heat. Window units in cottage house were sufficient for sleeping. Sadly our vacation was spent listening to construction/pavers out front but good news is the road is freshly paved. Very close to town, but we didn’t walk to town. Would definitely consider staying here again with a family or group!

Amazing home in Sonoma. About a 5 minutes away from Sonoma square. The kitchen is very well equipped for all your cooking needs. The pool was great to use in the afternoons after wine tastings. Thank you again to the owners for an amazing week!

A great week with family
Very well maintained house and pool with plenty of outdoor spaces. Located on a quiet road which was an ideal morning walk above the vineyards. Well-equipped kitchen with excellent knives(!) Both adults and children enjoyed the pool and its toys. The pool seating and umbrellas were perfect. Chris was very responsive to our requests.

Great location, very clean, all the amenities you could want for a group. Chris was an excellent host-responsive, resourceful and accommodating. Some previous reviewers mentioned issues with neighbors complaining if you make noise . We did not encounter any problems and did not feel encumbered in any way. I would highly recommend this property.
