6 adults (my 2 sons and there spouse’s, myself and my husband) and 4 grandkids stayed , plenty of room for all of us and we had a bonfire each night, even got to see the northern lights one night. We enjoyed it so much we all will plan to come again, make it a family tradition.

We did a camp bachelorette party here and it was the perfect stay! Hosts were very friendly and answered all questions. The property was even more beautiful then the pictures! I would highly recommend and we will for sure be coming back!

All of us absolutely loved the cabin and setting. The kids loved roasting marshmallows around the fire. As for the location of the cabin, it was great as it allowed us to explore out in all directions: Taquamenon Falls, pictured rocks, agate hunting around Grand Marais and Lake Superior Campground, Crisp Point Lighthouse, Mackinac Island etc. It was my all time favorite family vacation. Thank you!

The property was excellent; there was plenty of room for all eight of us. We were able to walk around and explore the surrounding woods. The weather did not cooperate, but we still made the most of our stay and enjoyed the time we spent together.

We loved our stay here! I didn’t pay too much attention to the listing when booking, so I was surprised—but not disappointed—when we arrived and had no way of connecting our devices. Honestly, it was just what we needed. Time away from all of life’s distractions that we carry on our phones every day! The house was lovely, and we made good use of the kitchen and outdoor space while there. The beds were a little too firm for our party, but that’s a personal preference, so not really a complaint. I might recommend keeping some mattress toppers for those who like softer sleeping, or for guests to bring their own. Overall, a great home at a great value. We’d stay here again if visiting the area.

We had a wonderful time at the North Lodge! It was big enough for our family of 6 to all sleep comfortably, relax, and sit at diner together, as well as play cards in the evening. Nice location, close to public access of two lakes, and close to gas station, pizza, ice cream, and a grocery store.

This is hands down the cleanest VRBO we've ever been to. Comfortable beds, plush towels and a cozy atmosphere made for our U.P. vacation to be just wonderful! We had immediate communication with the owner when the furnace didnt work, and they had the unit repaired while we went to dinner. Highly recommended!

This was a dream for me to get a good portion of my family together in a lodge up in the UP. Everything was nice and clean, comfortable and cozy. The owners are extremely gracious and accommodating. Couldn’t be more pleased.

My husband and I stayed for a whole week and had some family join for a couple of days. The cabin was very spacious and cozy. It was very clean and was nicely decorated. Plenty of room for cars and trailers. The only thing I would recommend is having wifi. Although it was nice to check out from social media, we had two young kids back at home and it was hard to communicate with them unless we left the cabin. Cell service was very spotty. Otherwise such a beautiful place and would definitely stay again. The hosts also had great turn around time for communication.

We finished our third stay at the North Lodge. This is a wonderful residence. Exactly like the pictures. Our first stay was 8 years ago. The hosts have done a good job of keeping up the maintenance, even though it is obvious that some of the guests appear to abuse the doors and steps. We would highly recommend this lodge.

Cabin was awesome but weather didn’t cooperate, high 30s to low 40s. No snow on the roads edge so we had the trailer to drop lots where the snow was. That’s Michigan weather, this year it bit us. We’ll rent again as long as there’s snow on the roads edges so we can get to the trails. Thanks Lance Benzing.

We have been sledding around the UP for some 30 years and have stayed here 3 times. We have been never disappointed. Place is Lodge with lots of sleeping option's. And 2 bathrooms!! Mike has always been a txt or phone call away. TX Bruce

Let me start by saying that this place is great, and any criticism I have is largely due to the fact that everyone in my gang of 5 was over 60. The place is gorgeous (the pictures are a good representation of the property). The hosts furnish this place like a nice hotel, nice towels, the tiny soaps, no concierge, so they left a bunch of extra pillows and blankets everywhere. The first floor is a great gathering area. Decent kitchen, all the utensils, big table, nice living room (no fireplace), all connected together, so no matter where you are, you are still part of the conversation. We were not really there to hang out, just a jumping off spot to go look at differently colored trees, but I could spend a week just sitting on the porch here. It is pretty well isolated, pizza and beer just down the street. What more could you ask? Ok, now my criticisms: In my reading of the description, I did not catch that there were three levels, not two. Most of the sleeping area is in the basement and there is no sleeping area on the ground floor and there is no toilet in the basement. those over 60 will get my point. But my biggest single complaint with this place is I could not turn off the porch light. We were in the middle of nowhere, the stars were fantastic, and the view from the backyard was obscured by trees., so we moved to the front, and there was a porch light, with no switch.

Beautifully located lodge!!! We had everything we needed minus some matches to start a fire. Had a great time playing the games that were supplied and our daughters added to the painted rock collection.
