Peter is truly an outstanding host! We decided to embark on a long-awaited trip for my mother, who has been battling illness for an extended period of time. This vacation, our first in many years, held special significance as it was a heartfelt journey to Nantucket. In the face of unforeseen obstacles, including an initial hurricane and subsequent health issues with my mother, Peter, the owner, showed us exceptional kindness. He not only graciously accommodated our need to reschedule multiple times but also ensured our stay remained smooth during this emotionally challenging period. Peter's warmth and understanding didn't just make a difference – they made our stay truly special. I wholeheartedly recommend this rental, and it's not just for the charming property but for the rare hospitality of Peter, a host who genuinely cares about making your experience memorable.

I took my mom to Nantucket for her birthday in October and the place was amazing! The pictures online didn’t do it justice. We had all the things we could possibly need in the cottage and loved all the cute details within the place. It’s also walking distance from town which was perfect. The host, Peter, was also very accommodating and great with communication throughout the whole booking process experience. Highly recommend and if we ever come back to the island I’d book here again in a heartbeat!

Having read all the positive reviews, I don't think that there is anything I would be able to add or disagree with. The cottage is in an excellent location close to town, is well appointed, bright and clean. We had a very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend. Most importantly is that the host was very accommodating and very easy to reach and communicate with.

What a fabulous and quaint cottage on Nantucket! Beautifully manicured gardens and a lovely view. Cottage was well maintained and very clean. Just a short walk down to the Main Street and wharf. We were very impressed and would definitely recommend this cottage to all of our friends!

Quaint, clean, well appointed cottage. Easy walk to town. The stairs to the 2nd floor are narrow and steep; could be challenging for some people. On island for a family wedding. Would recommend! Thank you, Peter!

This cottage is the best!!! So well-decorated, clean and cozy but more space than we anticipated. Sunlight fills the rooms in the morning and creates a bright space. And the location is fantastic. Skip the hassle of parking in the busy downtown. A short walk down historic Main Street puts you right in the heart of all the shops and restaurants. This cottage is quintessential Nantucket charm. Book it!!! Just not when we want to book again!!

My husband and I came here after our wedding for a mini moon! It was in great location to downtown about a 15 min walk and it was also in great location to the bike paths. Peter was prompt on answering our questions and needs at any time of the day! We will definitely stay here again when returning to Nantucket!

We absolutely loved our stay at One Madaket. The little beach cottage is well appointed and perfect for a tiny family. Our communication from our host was satisfactory, and the location of the cottage is convenient to all parts of the island. The updates and decor are beautiful and comfortable. And the little patio in the back was private enough to enjoy daily. Nothing compares to waking up a Nantucket and Brewing and enjoying your 1st cup of coffee of the day. The property was well-maintained. We were able to get to all of our favorite parts of the island repeatedly throughout our stay. We will be coming back soon! Peter is the best!

The moment I walked in the door I fell in love it’s perfect. It was so cozy very clean and wonderful beds! It’s location is perfect close to everything. The home has everything you need to feel right at home. Peter was very helpful and my only regret is my visit was to short.

Some minor confusion with the check in process and wifi network. Cozy, comfortable cottage which is a 15 minute walk to downtown. All the essentials provided and a bike trail to Madaket beach right across the street.

I loved the historic nature of the property and the green space across from the property. Also that it is walking distance from the town center and the ferry.

Overall, this cottage is great. The location is awesome because you're just outside town but also right at the bike path. And the owners provide a lot in the shed out back - beach chairs, etc. I think the pictures do it justice. Note, the stairs getting to the upstairs bedroom are definitely tricky, so keep that in mind based on certain abilities.

We stayed in the small cottage. Lovely spot walkable to town. Comfortable beds and clean. Roses and hydrangeas make it quintessential Nantucket. Ceilings are low so may be best to avoid for tall travelers, and stairs up to the loft might be challenging for some. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

We had a destination wedding to attend on Nantucket with 5 adults to house. This house was as quaint as it looked online. We were thrilled with the location, which was very walkable to town yet far enough away to be out of the cluster of people! It was so clean and the beds were super comfy. Peter was extremely accessible and kind from the time we made our reservation to the day we left this cozy cottage. Sidenote...the wedding was AWESOME! We would definitely return and stay in the exact same place. Do not hesitate!

The space was great for my family with a 17mo child. The only reason we gave 4 stars vs 5 was because there was no window treatment in the common areas only bedroom, so there was some discomfort at night when my wife and I would hang out. Other than this, it was a great place.

The property was ideally located just at the top of Main Street, close to town but easy access to rest of island. The property is a cottage and larger house, both of which were immaculate, bright and cozy. They have strict rules for those traveling with pets which makes it a pleasure to stay there as no evidence of previous pets on furniture or in yard. Peter was very responsive to an issue we had with the WiFi and couldn’t have been a more accommodating host! Top rating all around
