Very enjoyable

The location.

Walking into the property at 2am, it was unlocked and all lights were on, made us uneasy.

Well located and equipped but not clean enough.

Spacious and well equipped. Very close to Joshua tree national park entrance. Outdoor space. Must be nice for a family.

It could have been cleaner. The manager waiting inside with his dogs when we arrived was odd but he was he friendly.

It was an okay place to stay for the night, but I’d look for others places to stay at in the future.

Hot shower and comfortable beds. Tv options were good.

The place was dirty. Floors had a lot of dirt, hair, and crumbs on them. There were dead bugs. Dog hair on the couches. We weren’t too comfortable with the fact that the place was left unlocked for us to check in and the keys on the counter.

If you're looking for a nice place in a great location on a budget, this is the perfect spot!

Location was excellent. We could walk to shops, restaurants and the visitor center at the West entrance to the park. The place was relaxing, very clean, and perfect to come back to after a long day exploring J-Tree NP.

The only very minor thing I would suggest would be a new couch in the living room (the cushions have lost all support over the years) This is an easy upgrade so not even that important. Besides that, the place is the perfect desert rental!

A FUIR - LOGEMENT SALE ET HOTE MALHONNETTE

Hôte malhonnête ! Nous avons constaté à notre arrivée l'état de saleté du logement !! poils d'animaux partout sur le sol et sur le canapé, les draps n'avaient pas été changés avant notre arrivée (présence de poils !!!), le sol pas balayé (encore une fois pleins de poils et d'insectes morts), les sanitaires non lavés (traces jaunâtres sur la cuvette des toilettes + poils). Nous avons contacté l'hôte qui maintenait par message que le ménage avait bien été fait tout en nous demandant de lui laisser une demi-heure pour tout remettre en état !!! Il a fini par se déplacer mais sans vouloir entrer dans la maison et là il nous demande ce que l'on veut qu'il fasse. Dans ces conditions nous n'avions aucune envie de rester dormir dans cet endroit, ce qu'on lui a dit. Il nous a alors proposé d'annuler notre réservation sans frais auprès de Booking pour pouvoir obtenir le remboursement. Ce que nous avons fait et depuis silence radio de ce Monsieur !!! Cette procédure est soumise à l'accord de l'hôte et après plusieurs relances il ne nous répond plus ! et Booking ne peut rien faire tant que l'hôte n'a pas confirmé son accord pour l'annulation sans frais et donc le remboursement! A fuir donc cet hôte est malhonnête et ce logement est déplorable!

Roy was awesome and we slept well.

Roy was great. The facility was great on the inside. The location was great. The furniture inside and the space and tv and all included was fantastic. The bed was comfortable, and I really appreciated having air conditioners in each room. Great minimum kitchen appliances.

I hate seeing too much of anyone else's hair. There was a white dog or pet that stayed in our unit previously. That pet's hair was on the couch and in the smaller bed room on the pillow case sheets. The property was great for the value, and I truly thought it was great. I just think that after anyone with a pet stays there, that that person should pay for a better cleaning that has pet hair removal in mind. I'm not allergic to pet hair perse, but cleanliness after pet visits should be a priority. The only other thing that could be better is the driveway surface going into the Red Villa side. Even putting more dirt or rocks on the ground to even it out would be great -- the driveway fix is not a key factor, but the experience would be better if it looked more even. First, I like the value of your place so if the cost has to be driven dramatically up to improve the aesthetics, I imagine most would rather than the price. You know best, and I still highly recommend your place.

Bad

By car, the location is no problem, and you can see the stars at night.

The landlord is willing to help send back the two bags we bought in the Outlet, but the actual items have not been received, saying that they were sent away, but there is no trace of them, so we cannot track the delivery. We have not received the package when we went to the hotel in San Francisco, that is, the delivery address, because there is no express tracking number and we cannot find the so-called mailed package. Finally, after returning home, he asked the landlord that he did not return it, and then there was no reply.

I would absolutely never stay here again.

The location to Joshua Tree NP was great

All of the pictures for this listing are for the Blue villa (I would assume since none of them match where I actually stayed. I rented the blue villa but was placed in the red villa. The coffee pot was disgusting, there was a layer of dirt on everything in the kitchen, and I contacted the property owner because I was confused as to what villa to go to and he was incredibly rude. I assume the beds were clean but there was hair on the box spring.

Cockroach infested - dont stay here

This place is cockroach infested. They walk acros all the rooms and you can hear and see them strolling at night and scatter underneath and between gaps when you enter a room. They walk and lay acros the floor in the morning. The bed sheets appear not to be fresh. Dog hairs on the improvised couch, dog smell in the accommodation. Shower and bathroom looked dirty. Floors are dirty. No cleaning has been done despite the high cleaning fees. The neighbourhood is sketchy. Dont be fooled by the bookingpage, this place is horrible, dont ruin your money and time here. See photo of cockroach living room.

Disappointing

location and accessibility was great and house layout was good.

I appreciate the fact that the property is a step back in time and that it’s not modern upmarket place BUT I felt it lacked a cleanliness. Plates and mugs where dirty from the cupboard, some areas in bathroom where not cleaned. (hair/dirt etc) and the fridge was not clean. Bare essentials for me is Cleanliness when staying the night and lack of this made me question bedding & Towels as a result and made for uncomfortable stay.

we made a great choice of housing for our 2 nights with our dog

it’s a great location, easily walk to restaurants. On a quiet side street. Very large and comfortable space, our King bed was wonderful. it’s a bit funky but everything works well. safe off street parking. kitchen fully stocked. Owner had compiled a notebook with lots of local tips re the park and various sites and restaurants

Joshua Tree is quite the trash-laden town, lots of rundown houses and properties around. large tv but we couldn’t figure out how to use it (ROKU). it would have helped to have written instructions for that!

Disappointing

It did not feel clean. You could visibly see dust on tables and mantals, pet hair on sofa, human hair on linens and bathroom rug. The red villa was very different from the photos that were shown which i assume was the blue villa property. It felt very dark and cold inside because of the lighting and decor - especially the red painted walls.

Great spot but wouldn’t stay here again due to the lack of cleanliness.

Great location

There were crumbs on the floor and counter tops of the kitchen and living room area that we had to clean. There was hair on the bathroom floor and the toilet was filthy. There was trash all over the ground of the outside seating areas. The staff was late to “clean” after we had arrived. The comforters to the bed were sitting on the dirty floor when we arrived and after the place was “cleaned” the same comforters were used to make the bed. The dirty and unpresentable nature of the place was our biggest issue with our stay.

Good honest villa in Joshua tree. Easy walk to saloon!

The villa was nice and clean. Communal areas were really good. Nice vibe. What you saw is what you got, it was good.

Do everything perfectly and the reviews will be good!

I like this location, there are a few restaurants, a cafes and a gift shop. The house had everything necessary for life. I like the book with information about potential places for hiking, grocery stores and restaurants. I would like to thank Roy (a property manager) for his help in a hard time!

We didn’t like the beds. They creaked at every slightest movement. On the second day of our stay, a storm broke out. The window in the living room was made from a few pieces. it could not withstand the onslaught of the wind and began to fall apart. Wind and sand were inside the house. Once again I want to mention Roy (property manager), who came to our aid. Together we fixed the window. I didn’t like that the part of the roof was covered by tarp. it was pinned down by huge bricks. They could fall during a strong wind on a car or person.

Great location for a family near the entrance to Joshua Tree NP. Can walk to several restaurants and cafes. Nicely appointed two bedroom with futon.

Adequate & friendly. Not very clean.

Location great for park entrance. Kitchen amenities generously stocked. Nice host. Heater great.

To me, it is odd to pay a generous “Covid “ cleaning fee and find the tub dirty with left over black hairs. How does this convey that the whole place was “Cleaned””? The bathroom floor also had not been cleaned in awhile.

I can’t wait to come back!

The place was clean, cute, and comfortable. There was a lot of different areas for relaxing outside. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into what guests would want/need. TV and heater in every room. walking distance to quite a few businesses. Kind and friendly host. Per friendly. The price was excellent for this property. The photos don’t do it justice. Even better than expected.

It is on a residential street, so the sky wasn’t as dark as other Joshua tree locations. However, the host leaves an extensive list of places, with directions, of where to find dark skies.

Cozy, comfortable, clean. Loved that there were heaters in the bedrooms. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils, etc. Owner was available for answering questions. Great value and location!

Good for a quick overnight

2 bedrooms is convenient if needed. Bed was comfortable. Convenient to JT Park entrance (West).

Very difficult to locate after dark. I was not comfortable with the neighborhood. Toilet seat was broken and the toilet ran constantly
