When you are ready to hit the beach, head down the 100+ steps to street level and enjoy an easy stroll to the middle of West Bay Beach. You'll quickly get used to the stairs - they're worth the effort to obtain those stunning views! Be aware the access may not be doable for all Once you're on the beach, you can choose from any of a variety of fun activities to try out. Rent a kayak or paddleboard to paddle around these calm protected waters. Or head out for a snorkeling adventure straight from the beach to the world's second-largest barrier reef below. You'll see plenty of colorful tropical fish, plus some of the most eclectic coral reef topography in the region. Scuba dive shops are plentiful in West Bay, too, so take your pick to get even closer to that marine life. We were a party of 5. The property is advertised to sleep 6, but the dining table and chairs and the patio table and chairs only seat 4. The seating area is also small, even for 4 people. The property is reasonably maintained, the washing machine could do with being replaced, it is rusty and it left nasty marks on our clothes. The steps up to the property also need some attention. Water pressure in the showers and sinks in the upstairs bedrooms is poor and we either all used the downstairs shower or out side shower. The property was advertised with internet but this only consisted of a dongle; this can only be used with a laptop; its of no use if you have an iPad or mobile phone etc. This was disappointing. The property was clean and has a good supply of beach towels and kitchen equipment.

Nice house in good location
This house had everything we needed for our stay in Roatan. It was well equipped, comfortable, and very convenient. The steps to get up the hill to the house are a bit challenging but you get used to that pretty quickly. From the bottom of the hill, the house is literally one block to the beach and all the restaurants and bars of West Bay. It is quiet and secluded yet right near the middle of the town.
